Awsome information, as I just bought my vinyl and was going to experiment with it until i seen your channel saying to remove the carrier sheet and to iron it after trimming. Thank you so much for such a detailed turorial. Love it.
Hi love your videos and also I joined your site and make a couple of purchases and new to machine embroider but I will get there I have a brother SE625 to start I think is ok for now . Your Machine is not for me yet hopefully I will soon Thank you for sharing is a lot to learn Rosy
I have just happen upon your channel...looking forward to checking out your vids...I have often wondered about the option of HTV for applique and will be excited to try it out. Thanks for taking time to make your vids.
I ran across this video and it peaked my interest. I've never used/thought of htv with applique. Did you do monogram with embroidery machine right thru the vinyl? It didn't 'gunk up' the needle going thru the glue? Think I want to try this.
I suggest using a computer since files need to be unzipped and saved somewhere. I do not think a tablet will be able to work for this. You are going to want a laptop that has a decent amount of storage for you to be able to save your files at least 500 gb would be a great starter machine.
I see that your monogram is backwards, how do you get it the right way on your shirt ir product you are putting it on if you are ironing it in the hoop. Are you ironing it to the stabilizer and then flipping it over and re-irojing it on the shirt or item you want it on, I'm a little lost. I know things have to be mirrored for htv but I am lost from when you put it on the fabric and stitched it and ironed it. Is that the end result? Like I said, I'm a little lost.
this is just the way the video was recorded. It was done on an ipad so the only way to record the video was so that it shows the video backwards. Not sure if that makes sense. The monogram is not sewn backwards. It is sewn correct.
Thank you for opening my eyes to embroidering on vinyl! Awesome!
You are so welcome! Thank you so much for watching 💕

Very good and informative. Hop you get many likes
This is a great idea.
I have a mini iron from Walmart that will work great for those who have a 4x4 hoop.
I need to try this soon.
This is awesome, never thought to use htv, thank you
Great info. There are a lot of hand held mini irons on the market. Pretty inexpensive. Thanks again.

Hi from Texas!!
Hello there!
thank you
Thanks for the informative video. Ironing in the Hoop looks a bit risky and would think that the heat would distort or melt the hoop over time.
I have been doing this for over 14 years now and have never had any issues with the hoops melting :)
Thanks so much,
What size needle did you use?
I always use a 75/11 ball point needle. Never a sharp needle when working with this or it will cut it.
Do you use stabiliser or is that just cotton underneath. TIA
I use stabilizer on the back of the knit. Fusible polymesh ironed onto the back of the shirt and hoop medium tear away along with the knit.
@@CreativeAppliques thank you 😊
Did you use solvy on top when you finished your embroidery.
I usually use solvy on top of all embroidery to prevent it from sinking into the fabric. Thank you for watching!

I did sew the monogram thru the HTV. No gunk up on the needle.
Do I need computer for my machine. An if so what is the best computer to get or can I use a Amazon fire tablet to download designs to my machine

Do I need to iron it right then or can I wait until after the shirt is completely finished?
I would iron it on before you sew. This will prevent the vinyl from buckling and also from possibly tearing.
