I have this machine as well. If you click on the up and down blue arrows when choosing the needle (color) it will show you the thread color on the design.

You can rotate the design if needed. The design will load into the machine like it is on your computer. If you are asking about a projector, the machine does not have a projector. I hope that answers your question.
I have a KX 1501, and 1506, have you had any issues with random failed trims, I've been in contact with support but have not found a solution. So I'm curious if anyone else has this issue.
