Works perfectly updating 2017/18 once you've done the Android auto/CarPlay Mib update prior. This Mib update also gives Google maps on AA, which is awesome. Audi price for Map update down to €200. Theres an extra km of road near where I live, that's all I would get for €200.

It would probably help to mention the slightly complicated nature of map version licensing. You cannot go from 2016 to 2022, without actually buying a license from Audi. At best, you could go from 2016 to 2018/2019 with the included factory license. There is also the pirated way of the M.I.B. tool but I am sure we are not supposed to speak about it here 😂
@@mr233did you figure this out?……..so after updating my MMI. getting the maps downloaded. I have kind of figured out that i need a fec or licence code that says 0230032 legal. On my MMI in the red menu. So this is the point im at now,……trying to figure out how to do it.
So I have just updated the maps to newest 2023 maps on my late 2016 A6 C7 and all working perfectly. First i updated the firmware to the latest version which also includes apple car play. from Mr Fix's apple CarPlay update video. I then down loaded the latest version of maps from the link provided and then expanded the files as they were compressed I then opened up the folder and moved the files to a freshly formatted 64 G USB 3.0 memory stick. Just mover the three files. I tried this a number of time and it would still not read the new maps. However this still did not work for me. I then downloaded clean my drive and checked the new memory and there were some junk files on the stick, even though the stick was brand new. I erased the junk and the new maps were recognised by the car straight away and it worked perfectly. I big thanks you Mr Fix. The 3.0 memory stick in the arm rest works great and really fast probably to 45 mins ish to update. the stick was 6.99 off of amazon and next day delivery

For all who have problem with update, showing 'No data found...'. As mentioned in some subcomments below, if you format SD card on Apple MacOS (in my case M1Pro 13.4.1) to Fat32, it will create some hidden files on it and car system doesn't recognise this update. It doesn't matter if you delete those files, system immediately create new one on SD and update in car will fail. So you must format SD card on other system, in my case the success was with Ubuntu 23.04 - just format SD and copy files on it, there should't be any hidden files. Guess the same result will be with Windows. Interesting thing is, when I did update to K3663, I formated 8GB flash disk on MacOS and I was able to do update through service menu (or how it is called) with no issues... 🤔 Thanks for maps!
UPDATE: I finally managed to update the maps. The file in the description needs to be extracted, I download 7 Zip software. Once unzipped/extracted, there will be 3 files which you then download/copy onto your SD Card. Follow the video and you should be good to go 👍🏼 Also, you can drive your car whilst the update is happening. It took 55 mins for mine to be updated.
It works great 👍 First try did not work. But after installation of sotware K3663 the maps update runs perfectly. Thanks a lot and best regards from Germany.

👋Fix: When the update gives the message "no valid update data found on the medium" or any other error like it. You might need to clean hidden files from your sd-card or drive. I had the same issue trying it from macOS and windows. Formatted it in FAT32 and EXFat. None of them worked. Downloaded cleanmydrive (mac) and removed all hidden files. Now my car is taking the update and currently running it. I have a 2016 A6 C7.5 and had 1 valid key in the system. Also ran the system update on my car. Both updated with an EXFat formatted drive.

Thnx for this one bro!! Really nice job. There is also this issue with cars from 2015 with google maps thats not working anymore, audi has stopped the support for this years of Audis. Is there any work around about this issue? Do you have solution? By google maps navigation in not loading? I have wifi and also a valid subscription.
Activation codes found, everything looks fine but MMI update does not recognize SD card at all. Can it be somehow disabled or what could be the reason? When selecting SD as media source, it is found. A6 C7.5

Did not work for me unfortunately. The car doesn't show the update logo. It's in grey. I checked all iso files and it's written correctly on the SD card, but my car doesn't accept it.

2016 S7 here. 1. I can't access the Engineering menu using the button combination suggested - Im wondering if the function needs to be enabled in coding first? (I have VCDS) 2. My software version is MHI2_ER_AU57x_P3634 This was installed by a 3rd Party to enable Audi Smart Phone a few years ago. 3. When I try to load updated maps from SD1 i get the "No valid update data was found on the medium" message. I think its because your SD CARD is not supported ! I tried with 64gb samsung and its not works
Hi, so both (MIB1 and MIB2) files should be uploaded to SD card or only MIB1? if I try to upload both files my SD card (says that it is 32GB but it has only 29.1GB :D) are missing 32mb and I cannot upload them both.

Trying to find a reliable source for the files is trickier than I hoped.

There's no such thing. I believe you need to to convert the unit to a firmware from a different region.

2016 S7 here. 1. I can't access the Engineering menu using the button combination suggested - Im wondering if the function needs to be enabled in coding first? (I have VCDS) 2. My software version is MHI2_ER_AU57x_P3634 This was installed by a 3rd Party to enable Audi Smart Phone a few years ago. 3. When I try to load updated maps from SD1 i get the "No valid update data was found on the medium" message. Ive heard some stories of users disabling their MMI trying DIY upgrades, so don't want to update the MMI software. Any suggested solutions? Thanks!
