Hi guys, thanks for the video. What is your general experience? You look like you are excited a lot. What about consumption and range you observed using airconditioning in highway?
Thanks for your kind words. Yup it's quite an exciting vehicle, the performance is certainly ample for city and highway driving. Throughout our test, we had the AC set to around 20c, and were also using the ventilation feature for the driver and front passenger seats. When on the highway, the battery was around 60% full and the range was over 250km if I recall correctly. Note that we were not driving efficiently as such, as we wanted to check out the vehicle's power and overtaking abilities. So there were moments of full throttle acceleration, use of sport mode, etc. Conversely I'd say that if you drive it economically, with a light touch on the throttle pedal and making use of the regenerative braking and coasting abilities, 400+ km should be realistically achievable on a full charge, with the AC switched on. In fact, Shehan (from Micro Cars) told us that you can actually coast quite nicely if you can balance the throttle at that precise point between power and regen. We tried this a few times just to see how it felt, and it feels like the vehicle is just sailing along. - Ashraaq
@@RevMatchSL Hi Ashraak, thanks for your help. I actually ordered already the car, its coming in November but lately I felt a bit hesitant. I have 150km commute daily 80% highway and generally in my country Cyprus its hot (from 10 to 45 C year around). But based on your comments it should be fine. even if 70% degratation in 10 years
@@konnosm1 If your commute is 150km, even with 70% degradation in 10 years you're pretty OK - and there are avenues for refurbishing batteries, such as replacing individual cells, etc, which don't financially sting as much as a brand-new full battery pack would. This is already being done around the world by third parties for hybrids and EVs from other manufacturers. Sri Lanka is pretty hot as well, and we found the ventilated seats to be really helpful - so if your one has this feature, you'll really enjoy it. All the best with your new car! Ashraaq
@@RevMatchSL Thanks Ashraaq, yes it has the feature. There are many reason why i selected this car. only if it had extra 15kwh I would not be worried at all for range. I have two young kids and need big boot and generally big car. I spend too much on gas and I will charge from home with solar panels. All other electric cars its size and battery range are 10k euros more expensive and also there is no Tesla in my country.
@@konnosm1 that's true. It's a very sensible car - rather than squeezing in a tiny third row as other manufacturers tend to do, these guys have prioritized boot space. If you're charging with solar panels from home, you'll really gain significant cost savings.
You'll have to check with Micro Cars, because the price can vary depending on several factors, especially since we have an uncertain vehicle importation landscape at the moment.
Hello "RevMatch" I saw that in your channel have some problems. For these problems your channel is not much growing. Not getting much engagement. If you can solve these problems, Your channel will get more engagement. If you can give me permission I can tell to you about these problems. Can I tell here or email? Okay?
