This just made the Tata Currv look like its from the last century. Better space, power and price than anything else on the road. Would be curious to see how it affects Windsor sales.
I've seen this car a lot of times testing on ECity-Hosur highway in Bengaluru with the camo on. Even then, the car had an INSANE road presence. Mahindra has done a stunning job with this one! 💯
Very unbiased review. He is clear and appreciative of the good things while pointing out the flaws too. Companies should take the feedback and improve. Great job 👏
Sometime I feel these guys who shares critics should start designing😂😂😂.... For 20 lakhs, you can't get tesla or a BYD.... we need to appericiate our home grown Mahindra has done it.... Irrespective they have always created break through in automobile.. Be it XUV,S or scorpios or others. Thanks to Anand Mahindra (and his team) and make in bharat ❤❤❤ vision... Let's embrace success and innovation...
This is a car review where he's brilliantly pointed out pros and areas to rework(the flaws he pointed out are not massive expensive features or additions, just odd or inconvenient choices made by the designers that remove functionality... innovation needs to look at what's better and what's next...this isn't a show about patriotism. Feel free to do that in the comments.
Finally Anand Mahindra using the expertise of Pininfarina to make exceptional cars that will give even the Germans a run for their money. Tata on the other hand is standing dead in the water with the fabulous launch from Mahindra.
Mahindra is continuously setting the bench marks for Indian car makers. They shout out loud and clear that Indian carakers can also make cars and not toys!!!
I wish there was an ICE version of 6E, churning 200 odd bhp (probably differently tuned Thar/ScorpioN engine). A Seltos and Creta rival, focused specifically on driving pleasure. There are enough maniacs to shell out money for such a vehicle. I certainly would have.
The power, pricing, range, warranty is all great. Design is too radical. Apparently this car has a wheelbase of 2755 mm so I'm not sure why it looks so cramped from the inside. Windsor feels much more spacious and comfortable despite being a smaller car.
This now give serious baby Urus vibes in this colour. I am sold. But as its a mahindra will wait for 1 year hoping the initial niggles are sorted. Well done Mahindra 👍
This looks Gooood! 😮 P.S: Hey autocar, the auto generated captions are not available for this video. Can you guys re upload if possible or enable auto generated captions? ✌️
Thank you Mahindra for taking a bet, spending lot on R&D to get us this.... hope this breaks the market and inspire more and more companies (esp small) to invest in R&D Think R&D is untapped for employment and employer opportunities
It is an impressive car and definitely eye-catching. As a car enthusiast, I would certainly consider a test drive and potentially make it my next purchase. I would appreciate it if you could provide me with the prices for all variants. Additionally, I believe it would be very convenient if Mahindra established separate EV dealerships. Thank you, Mahindra, for creating such wonderful cars.🎉❤
Mahindra ki EVs ke yeh introductory prices hai, yeh aage Jake 35-40 lakh ho jayegi after 6 -9 months. XUV 700 aur thar bhi 10-12 lakh me introduce hui thee but aaj ki date me dhang ka model, 25-30 lakh ka aa rha hai. But still Mahindra ne kamal kar diya hai, ev sector me 👏👏
My opinion before seeing the car in detail was 😻 both 6e and 9e and after seeing the review and functions 🫡👎, well I will be waiting for improved version of Mahindra 9.2 e and I hope eliminating unnecessary stuff and giving some more buttons in car is sensible.
@@prajwalkb539yeah the NFA platform is coming up. As per autocar, it will be another monocoque platform will RWD as standard. And the first model based on it will be the next gen Bolero codenamed U171.
Still Indian companies have to depend on Chinese BYD batteries for durability and performance. I wonder why reviewers are not saying this. Hope u all know that these new Mahindra evs are using BYD batteries and upcoming Maruthi evs also probably using BYD battery.
Might just be different from person to person but about the window switches, you pull and push the switch in the same direction with a normal switch. Thought it made sense.
It's so outlandish that it feels like a review for a concept and not a production ready vehicle. I can feel the hosts enthusiasm dialed down due to the sheer impracticality of the car the unnecessary bar in the middle is so irritant and I feel claustrophobic watching the video , it's crazy how the ingress and egress of the car is impractical and compromised for design and this could be deal/ back breaker for a lot of potential customers. I hope Mahindra is not expecting huge sales volumes for these cars , it'll be interesting to see how the Hyundai Maruti Kia and Honda EVs perform in the Indian market compared to the TATA's and Mahindra's
the PRNDL lever, does it have to be so massive? A stalk seen in the likes of Mercs VWs and quite a few other makes manoeuvring so much easy. Even a lever but not of size that you pleasure yourself with would've sufficed
The pullstrap for opening doors and the partition between the driver and the front passenger are both honestly bad choices. This being the cheaper would be the go to car for many Creta/Curvv customers, and not much 'enthusiasts'.
This is the perfect car that I was looking, but it needs few improvements: 1- Increase the Storage minimum 512GB to 1TB for surveillance and Dashcam use. 2- It should have similar to BE 9E, pulling cover at trunk or boot space. 3- It needs to have Memory function for drivers same as it has with BE 9E.
Great Review. The only thing I don't like is how you suddenly pause while saying something. It's like you are always hunting for words. This breaks the concentration of the people listening to you. Just my 1 Cents.
Where are the batteries made though? What is the warranty on them and are they repairable if involved in a crash? What about fire safety and lastly, where is the charging infrastructure?
Zero catching fire. They tested in 800 degree full fire, immersed in water for half an hour, 22 tonne truck running over it, dropped it from 10 meters height. Nothing happened. They source BYD blade cells and they manufacture in their plan by using their own design.
Main reason to buy this: 20 min 0-80 charge. This is what the market wanted all along. Most Tata cars take at least 60 min to go from 0 -80. Tata Please go back to drawing board. As for BYD and MG, Leave India for Mahindra
As someone who is going to genuinely buy this car: Im proud of this development! BUT! dont these engineers have this common sense to give proper, firm, controls for A/C , Audio & Gear selector? do you want people to crash and marr gya whilst driving home? Even bmw has done this mistake; shame on you all!
I don't know why nobody noticed... But the proportions of BE 6E are very similar to TAMO RACEMO but in a SUV scale. If anybody remembers that car with TATA introduced but never launched.
How much does the fuel tank weigh? Can it be filled in 5 minutes? The enclosure for the taxi driver is incomplete and really needs bulletproof pexiglass. The hole in the roof is a thoughtful feature, allowing escape ejection when the car catches fire from its fuel. A square steering wheel is ideal for long shanks. But perhaps the only absurd thing about the bus is the price.
This is a real sub.. Not the so called SUVs like harrierz safari, Nexon, creta, sripriya, grand vitara etc.. This has a proper RWD which makes it a real suv....
be 6e look wise better than xev 9e...but both of them is way better than tata curv...as both have futuristic design n features unlike curvv front nexon n back tigor 😂😂😂😂

😀😀
Mahindra electric car around 10 years here

If you see xev, curvv looks very much in the same generation. This 6E is the real game changer in terms of looks
Not only curvv but each and every cars in the segment and cars from segment above😢
Tata curv is not even a ground up ev they just extended the nexon . Just bring this car in petrol creta is doomed
Minimum 10cr
😂 mahindra leads in after sales service. Tata just knows how to market their product. Mahindra knows better how to make quality products.

My only complaints. 1. that weird plastic divider between front seats 2. back seat head room.
Is there a way that divider can be removed?
It is available as an option
multilink rear suspension and adaptive dampers!! these are something you find only in premium cars
Pleasantly surprised with what Mahindra has presented! And proud.
If there would be an ICE version of this car, it would have absolutely destroyed Creta, Seltos and all the other cars in it's segment
What is the point of a warning on screen when the driver isn't paying attention to it? 😆
Exactly. A distracted driver isn't going to notice the visual alert in the dash. There must be an audio alert as well.
I think there will be a chime sound as well for warning. Warning lamps comes with warning sound as well these days.
The designers of this vehicle really deserve an award. Best design of the decade👍
Great unbiased review. Script and delivery needs some work though. Feels like he isn't confident about what he's talking about.

orange colour really most suiting colour in this car ❤ it gives vibe of sport car❤

This INGLO chassis platform is only built for EV, for other old technology fossil fuel cars, they have another chassis setup

Agressive and headturner performance, design and style.... model name goes overboard 😊
Does pack one gets infinity sunroof?
There is no variant of these cars without a moon roof. That has been integrated in the body shell itself.
are there only four colours red, orange, silver, white?
I will buy if they remove the "halo' in a version. It is a hinderance and may be a safety risk as well in case of emergencies.
