Hahah love the hycross x carnival x vellfire equation😂😂😂 A factor that's missing in that are the waiting periods- the answer? Get an Invicto and have it delivered in a week!
The way you guys gave the first impressions. It looks like, the Korean manufacturer says. Luxury means you get less for more money. Almost like the restaurants in Paris where they use plates made of precious metals, they'll beautifully decorate the food, take a photo and charge huge money. But at end of the day, by eating at the restaurant my tummy is not full. When a customer pays that much money, everything included in the vehicle should justify the price point. I would vouch for this vehicle if it had a 45 lakh variant with bench seats and 50 lakh for the limousine variant. Why do people still buy Innova and the hyrider? It's still a value for the money paid. At this price this isn't 100% value for money Shumi Quike summary rating 5/5
Child detecting sunroof idea was really funny. But on a serious note, the Windsor's fixed glassroof is actually a win-win for both security and that sense of space. Indian climate doesnt let ur open the roof much anyways
I recently started watching this channel and really have to say this is probably the best Motor Enthusiast channel that I am following... You guys have introduced a new segment like this where simple conversation between both of you feels so much realistis and as if I am part of the convo. Your Practical way of describing how the car feels is really commendable. Keep talking more about both of yours old kept machines and their memories ... Would be waiting to know that. Keep making more such content. Cheers! 🤘🏻
I heard from some other story that the Earlier engine was a cast iron unit and they moved to all aluminium now to make it more lighter and make more power as a result. Which is why the sound is not as damped as before.
Hey Kartikeya, why haven't you guys covered VW Virtus GT yet? I can see some shorts on Slavia and a full video under the paywall but i would love if you covered the new GT Plus Sport variant of Virtus in a Motorinc First format.
Budget 5-7 lakh Daily running 60km City 80% highway 20% Comfort looks mileage are preference First car Baleno sigma 6.7 me mil rhi h or option bhi batao
That “child detection” bit almost made me choke on my hot tea!😭😭 But yeah, I agree with Shumi. IMO, the car should automatically start a full shutdown countdown (with alarms and horn blaring for maximum embarrassment) when a child sticks out of the sunroof.
I would like you guys to take a stab at the topic "How much technology is too much technology?" Supplanting analogue instrument clusters with digital ones was never the need of the hour. Analogue gauges brought character to the car. Digital ones come alive only when the car is on. At other times, the interiors, especially the dashboard, are virtually indistinguishable from other cars. And I paid money for a car that gives me joy even when it is not running. Just its sight should give me happiness. The interiors of the old Honda Civic is a memory that I will take with me to the grave. Again, having giant screens in the middle protruding from the dashboard only takes away from the visibility, It looks like an afterthought, a leftover concrete slab from a construction work that has been slapped on. I am told manufacturers have a reason for having that one. That they can integrate AC controls and audio functions into one panel and save money. But the intuitiveness of the physical knobs for a driver when he is driving is compromised here. Instead of going overboard with screens (or gimmicks as you guys call them), shouldn't manufacturers be concentrating on innovation that adds to the driving and comfort experiences of the passengers?
To be honest I feel like this Kia Carnival is really an aspirational car, it doesn't make sense, its just the gravity and enigma it carries with it, its really an absolute gangster. I really felt like if I had that much money ideal and bookings where open, I would have bought one, even if my garage doesn't need it. Like a convoy of 4-5 Carnivals rolling in the expressway or through the big roads of cities will be like so black cat comando convoy or presidential convoy like thing. It doesn't make sense because it doesn't need to, and that truly defines what aspiration is.
With reference to the cars Karthikeya saw on Nandi road, which are mostly rentals, I think majority of the sales would've gone to chauffeur companies, hotels, etc.., A better proposition compared to the GLEs/X3s or similar models given their limited service reach, higher costs and also, cabin space. Would be a similar proposition to private owners too, politicians, celebrities, business men. I think this also indicates that we are moving away from sticking to established brands for presence and recognition in this segment.
Hey, Wonderful points you guys have stated. I like to share my points on this MPV as we use this here in Australia. Best seller for its stunning design and equipment loaded in all variants. The top-spec variant here will be around 85000 AUD which is roughly around RS 48 Lakhs ( Converted price). This car is bought by people who has young kids, long commuters, even as a Uber or self-hiring cars where they need prams and strollers which itself eats more luggage space in any given cars like RAV4, MX-5, CRV , etc...on top of it people have luggage bags. This is mainly sorted out in Carnival. Its only the Taxation of our nation that kills these kind of cars and what can we expect from companies? Looks like taxation has changed the whole perspective of what the car is all about. Not Many companies make good cars like this and not many company brings this kind to India. we are just trapped in the smaller circle where other nation enjoy their automobiles. 30 years from now, I'm just wondering what could be our historic vehicles or a collector cars in India! Three cylinders and mint condition Toyota's- rebadged Suzuki's maybe.
@@motorinc I started with Lancer 2.4 NA then bought Accord Euro 2.4 AT (K24 motor) then switched to Civic sport K20 motor then bought Accord Euro 2.4L K24 manual then switched to Toyota Avalon V6 then to Lancer 2.0L manual and now currently having Swift sport manual. I'm lucky enough to try the Japanese 2000's and i'm sticking with it. Out of all I could easily pick the Honda's K24 all day.
On the grumpy old men argument, earlier these ultimate cars (S class, Enzo etc.) used to pave way for new technology (turbos, TPMS, DCTs) which would eventually come down to regular cars. Don't think that is happening now.... Take hybrid tech for example, the holy trinity did well to adopt it in 2011-12, and we still don't have enough good hybrid cars.

I think at 50 lakhs this would have a compelling proposition for a buyer who is looking at the TOP SPEC HYCROSS and wants more value out of it, for them this would have been a no brainer and on the flip side 1.3 Crores for an MPV, KIA becomes a great option at half the price and to be honest looks far better than the Velfire. And I love the fact that MotoInc is so unapologetic about not testing products with insane T&Cs. I know how much people would have loved Shumi's take on the OLA scooter
Hey Motorinc, I think you guys should do Cars of the year awards or bikes of the year awards like MKBHD does with the smartphone awards. That would give a perspective to a person who is thinking to buy their first car and doesn’t have idea on what would best suit him/her. Appreciate the content you guys are putting out.
Hey Karthik. A quick doubt that’s been bugging me for so long. Why do some cars have so much cladding on them( cars with so much cladding looks cheap to me and so much difficult to keep them looking clean) while some of them have very less cladding or none at all
Hey Dheeraj, sometimes it’s a functional call - to provide protection against light bumps and scrapes - typically for off-road vehicles. But, more often than not it’s just about aesthetics. Which comes down to how the design team in that particular company thinks. As with any good design. Less is more. It just ages better. Hope that helps. 👍🏽
@@motorinc Thanks for the clarification Karthik. And yes, The less is better. I just love how Creta, seltos , safari, harrier do it. Minimal but just the right amount of cladding. The one thing that put me off initially about 3xo and punch is that they have so much cladding all around. It looks good in the showroom, but not sure how the people who own them would maintain them
Love how Karthikeyan is totally oblivious to Shumi's snide comments (like the one about the interiors of Zen Estillo) but the cameraman captures them brilliantly 😁
I am confused in classic 350 and scram 411 coz both are similar prised with difference of 16k only. Should I consider the scram with old and discontinued engine 411cc or should I go with j series refined engine for safe play ?
for the price of one vellfire, i will buy 1 ducati street fighter, 1 ducati multistrada, 1 Rubicon and 1 xpulse :P ... and sleep on the streets... and my house's water sump capacity is equal to the boot space of this car ! :D
Because of the added weight of the carnival they have changed the engine from cast iron block to aluminium and that is the reason for the louder noise a la diesel city.
@26:45 this should be considered in adas features as safety levels. nobody should be driving 120 on lane assist and putting people outside. forget person detection but even if the sunroof is open at those speeds and lane assist is on the centre of gravity shofts making things more vulnerable and hence the car should park itself
Occasional usage of humor keeps my attention pinned onto the screen. These guys are literally putting more effort than Bollywood putting in films these days. Great work by both.
Shumi seems to have the most amount of fun when he's either riding motorcycles or discussing cars. While the car parking itself on the side of the road might not be doable in all cars but we should have a sharp irritating alarm when a living being is detected in the sunroof area. If we can have the seatbelt alarm blaring without an occupant then this should be mandatory. 1 star added to the *NCAP score ?
600 hp is not just supercar standard but rather hypercar level. McLaren F1 which is argued to be the world's first hypercar and is to this date the world's fastest naturally aspirated production car had 627. Introduction of electric motors has made absurd horsepower figures way too normal
Loved the podcast💖💖 . On a lighter note, Speaking of mathematical equations, (monthly N-flix 720 price) x 2 = (MI Monthly price) 😄😄 ... Of course, Schumi's cynicism more then makes up for the premium pricing.
23:25 I remember a moment where I was prepping to leave my gym and here this guy beside me while prepping his some supplement drink called his driver in earbud and asked to start the AC of the car as he would reach the car in 5 minutes. I was like...the amount of patience this guy has must be even less than people on scrolling trap insta reels.
Please consider doing a long from video on all the launches at EICMA. I'm not able to find any one who actually does analysis for the launches w.r.t the Indian market.
@@motorinc it was so fearless and empowered of you to say that! Anyways I wish you guys made a video on it, cause yk, you guys roxx over other indian automotive channels!
Kia should probably start measuring the bootspace in square foot now, given the amount of space on offer. Maybe mumbaikers find this more spacious than some 1BHKs on offer?
I just keep enjoying these conversations again & again due to Shumi's humour getting superb everyday, just wondering what would be told about Dzire and upcoming Amaze in the same podcast. .. Kudos !!! 😂
For Shumi Sir, Aprilia teased the Tuono 457, some spyshots of the Tuareg 457 is doing rounds where its on some trail.. any update did you get on those Sir?
When Kartikeya Sir said this is a car you can fit your motorcycle in to Shum San, I could already picture the boot of a Carnival with a either the Aprilia Tuono or the KTM 390 Duke in the back while Shumi San drives down to MMRT or Kari for his next T.W.O Track Day 😅 It would be fun to see that actually happen 😁
About the stuff discussed at 25.10 , Shumi the second row of a 70 lakhs car will be mostly used by a 70 years old and that generation has lost the interest to move the seats closer.
I have a question. "The car got sold out on the first day itself" Who & how one officially book a car before it is launched? Also isn't this "sold out" statement from the manufacturer! ie, car is sold out to the dealerships not the actual customers!?
It is being booked in advance. And there are more takers than supplies. The 2000 Carnivals will come in batches. And each will have been allocated to buyers that have made bookings with the dealerships. Hope that helps.
@@motorinc is the new channel the surprise or is it part of some larger restructuring we still aren't aware of definitely feels like there is more to it waiting for it 😀
Kia EV9 is an awesome car which starts at 50k USD, and goes upto 70k USD across the world. I'll leave the calculation of taxes to you guys, suffice to say anyone buying an expensive car is india is being mauled.
The 65 Lakhs makes sense if we take into account the customs duty that the GOI charges on CKD units if the localization in sourcing OEM parts is low, I think its about 30%. If we remove the customs, It practically is the same price which you think is reasonable for a car of this caliber. @motorinc, correct me if I am wrong.
I think another key point in India's automobile scene is how vehicles are taxed. The jokes on the pricing should be directed towards the policy makers as well. That's why the manufacturers behave they way they do out here in India. Our selection of cars is really limited for being the 4th largest market in the world. Thoughts Karthikeya, shumi?
I honestly think the hycross ottoman is not really a gimmick, have been on almost 15-20 long drives with a family of 4, 2 of us have always been able to sleep with ample space and I'm 5'11, it may not be upto the carnival's mark, but it is honestly a hard bargain for everything else the hycross offers mechanically for half the price
We would like them to @naveenthravindran1361, the scooter market in India could do with some shake-up. But then again, when has Yamaha India really listened to what people want?
The cat's out of the bag. Seems like BMW has developed a 450cc Twin. Coming to the Baby GS. Sooner than later we may get it in the G450R, G450RR, and the TVS counterpart bikes. Let's hope for the best that they will try to change the design this time. Now that Tuono 457 is here, there will be Toureg 457 later., Skoda moving into the sub 4M SUV. My goodness it is aawesome year.🎉🎉🎉
Since the discussion is about cars that are affordable and reachable. It might be cool to have content about vehicles that are hot in the pre-owned market.
Very nice video as usual.... Thats what I complain about Korean brands....underestimating the market. On funnier side, whenever Schumi said Mayback.....it was heard as Mai-baap 😂😂
On sunroof part, I have seen my relatives and friends, all go GAGA in the name of a sunroof, even in today's day and age. There was a time when it was only used in super premium cars, but today its used literally in every other car, and still our fellow citizens are going crazy over the sunroof, as if a toddler saw a firecracker for the first time.
Dearest Schumi I have always liked your quick summaries and your take on companies throwing a bone instead of properly designed products. But of late your quick comments are taking the discussion away from the focus and making the videos less crisp especially during car reviews.
@motorinc Thank you MotorInc for your quick response as always with comments, even though it's a nobody like me. Love your Attitude, Honesty and your style of presentation @Schumi, @Karthik. Thank you for your great reviews always. Regards
Hey, You should do the Force Urbana next... Back to back Van fest, and the x, 2x, 4x, 8x progression will be complete going from 30 lacs to 2.4 crores :)
Hello team a unrelevant question. I am planning to buy a small segment bike for my father who is 60 years old but I couldn't find a 100-125cc with abs why? They also drive in highways with a speed of 60 70kmph they need safety too right? I can't give him a 150cc bikes which are heavy and pillon seats are not comfortable for my mother.whats your take on this?
The only 125cc bike with ABS is the Duke. It's heavier than most 150s. On another note, your father is now 60. He shouldn't be riding commuter motorcycles. If it is for short distances, opt for a scooter. If it is for longer distances, opt for a car (size based on budget). I don't know about your father's health right now but it will only be going down, vision will worsen and bones will get weaker as he gets older so plan for it. My father bought himself a Honda Civic AT when he turned 62, his first AT. Never rode a 2-wheeler again. He never needed to buy another vehicle till the day he left us.

for the price of one vellfire, i will buy 1 ducati street fighter, 1 ducati multistrada, 1 Rubicon and 1 xpulse :P ... and sleep on the streets... and my house's water sump capacity is equal to the boot space of this car ! :D
You could nap in the Rubicon?! No?
@@motorinc my family will be sleeping in the rubicon and i will be kicked out :D
Haha! Okay. Adds up. 😄
@@thesriramchandruepic😂😂
i liked how you subtly added xpulse there
I agree with Karthik - grumpy old men.... 😂
😄
While I always agree with Karthik, Schumi opens my eyes to a different direction (eye opening for my simple mind)
Classic 650 just came out cant wait for your opinions!!!
And we can't wait for it to actually launch @spandankapadia817! 😂 We look forward to that...
Because of the added weight of the carnival they have changed the engine from cast iron block to aluminium and that is the reason for the louder noise a la diesel city.
i love your analysis kartikeya bhai and shumi bhai are really awesome. i love the smile of kartikeya bhai
0:11 even with just that hello , you can say this is gonna be a fun one 😂
😁
But can the seats recline better than in ertiga?
@26:45 this should be considered in adas features as safety levels.
nobody should be driving 120 on lane assist and putting people outside.
forget person detection but even if the sunroof is open at those speeds and lane assist is on the centre of gravity shofts making things more vulnerable and hence the car should park itself
Child detection system!
@motorinc no Karthik, human detection system 😂
Atleast upload the intro song on Spotify yar.
Loved it❤.
Kartik vellfire's 2nd row is as comfortable as coffin, smooth etc etc.
Or... how about we keep releasing more episodes where you can enjoy it again and again @dr.pushpakmali5261? 😁
Occasional usage of humor keeps my attention pinned onto the screen. These guys are literally putting more effort than Bollywood putting in films these days. Great work by both.
This was so entertaining to watch. You guys have great chemistry like the Throttle House boys.
Thanks for letting us know what you thought John!
Is Kia Carens phase lift completed or due? Is there Motorinc First, view or balance story on Carens? Because I'm thinking to buy one next year.
it is due for an update
I love this channel and their style of reviewing best in business, soo detailed so engaging, thanks guys love it.
Thanks MK!
Why aren't the podcasts being uploaded on Spotify anymore? Did something change with the membership stuff?
Hey S! We are a small team and had too many platforms to manage. So, you can check out YT Music - they are available there too.
Loved the podcast💖💖 . On a lighter note, Speaking of mathematical equations, (monthly N-flix 720 price) x 2 = (MI Monthly price) 😄😄 ... Of course, Schumi's cynicism more then makes up for the premium pricing.
Hahaha
Same expression in the beginning by karthik,. 😅 great consistency,.
It’s real! Thanks for sharing’
Please consider doing a long from video on all the launches at EICMA. I'm not able to find any one who actually does analysis for the launches w.r.t the Indian market.
Thanks for the suggestion PM! 👍🏽
But, we won’t be doing that for now.
@@motorinc Yes, I knew that it was a long short when I asked for it :(
Do it na @@motorinc!
Which variant is that? We know Tekna!
Works! 😄
Good comment man ❤it
Thoroughly enjoyed this... Especially with more humour by shumi 😝
Thanks for joining us @ManishKumar64892
Absolutely on point! 💯
I just keep enjoying these conversations again & again due to Shumi's humour getting superb everyday, just wondering what would be told about Dzire and upcoming Amaze in the same podcast. .. Kudos !!! 😂
Same podcast, unlikely. Amaze is expected in December. But, looking forward to it.
Hey Karthik, Can you tell me the brand name of the T-shirt you wear in this video? I'm sorry; I know my question is out of context.
Asking!
Man, sometimes I can see Karthik just being straight up annoyed by the puns Shumi comes to the set with
He’s steeled now! Don’t worry. 😂
This show should be called Grumpy Old Men. Still would watch the entire hour of it!
Oh wow! Thanks for the support @VanshBhatnagar-tk1pk!😂
great motorinc first episode 💯
Thanks for letting us know!
For Shumi Sir, Aprilia teased the Tuono 457, some spyshots of the Tuareg 457 is doing rounds where its on some trail.. any update did you get on those Sir?
Nope… we’ll wait for the launch.
Bro howazz is your K5 and K6 (KIA)
When Kartikeya Sir said this is a car you can fit your motorcycle in to Shum San, I could already picture the boot of a Carnival with a either the Aprilia Tuono or the KTM 390 Duke in the back while Shumi San drives down to MMRT or Kari for his next T.W.O Track Day 😅
It would be fun to see that actually happen 😁
Plans are afoot! 🙃
About the stuff discussed at 25.10 , Shumi the second row of a 70 lakhs car will be mostly used by a 70 years old and that generation has lost the interest to move the seats closer.
Don't go making assumptions @bibudeshphoto 😛
I have a question. "The car got sold out on the first day itself" Who & how one officially book a car before it is launched?
Also isn't this "sold out" statement from the manufacturer! ie, car is sold out to the dealerships not the actual customers!?
That why kia Is struggling to build laxuary car image through car reviewers 😂.
It is being booked in advance. And there are more takers than supplies. The 2000 Carnivals will come in batches. And each will have been allocated to buyers that have made bookings with the dealerships. Hope that helps.

Do you guys have new Motorinc clips channel??
Morning KP! Yes, that’s us. Any feedback?
@motorinc it's an awesome channel for like the clips
Pretty cool
PS: THE THUMBNAILS are Hilarious 😂😂😂😂😂
@@motorinc is the new channel the surprise or is it part of some larger restructuring we still aren't aware of definitely feels like there is more to it waiting for it 😀
Staayyy tuneeed!
If i had that kinda money, I'll get myself a merc A class, put 80% of remaining money to sip, and keep 20% for maintenance 😂
Sounds like a plan @vikran_jadoun!
@motorinc: what’s your review about three cylinder petrol BMW X1, I was trying to find your review .
We have not covered luxury vehicles so far in MotorInc @ankurchadha7
Kia EV9 is an awesome car which starts at 50k USD, and goes upto 70k USD across the world. I'll leave the calculation of taxes to you guys, suffice to say anyone buying an expensive car is india is being mauled.
We’re floating in it…
The 65 Lakhs makes sense if we take into account the customs duty that the GOI charges on CKD units if the localization in sourcing OEM parts is low, I think its about 30%. If we remove the customs, It practically is the same price which you think is reasonable for a car of this caliber. @motorinc, correct me if I am wrong.
Hey Sourav, the old car was also being partly assembled in India. So it’s apples to apples.
Absolutely. We have too few players. There has to be more competition.
Heya S! Appreciate hearing from you. We’ll give it another shot the next time we get it.
if they could price it something around 48-50lac.. it'd be the one of the best cars launched this year
Probably wrong place to ask this. But do you guys know if Yamaha has any plans to bring the sister of the aerox 155 - the nmax 155 to India?
We would like them to @naveenthravindran1361, the scooter market in India could do with some shake-up. But then again, when has Yamaha India really listened to what people want?
Please make a video on suzuki Gixxer sf 250
suzuki to just recently launced a new gixxer some 800 twin thingy
wbt will it arrive on motorinc?
It’s not going to happen anytime soon. Thanks for the reco though!
@@motorinc if i may ask why?
The allocation is just 2000, probably because 2500 is the limit of vehicles that a manufacturer can import with homologation?
Nope. It’s being assembled here.
Thanks for the suggestion @yashdeepsinghahluwalia4536
This intro never gets old for me ❤

Very nice video as usual....
Thats what I complain about Korean brands....underestimating the market.
On funnier side, whenever Schumi said Mayback.....it was heard as
Mai-baap
😂😂
😆
On sunroof part, I have seen my relatives and friends, all go GAGA in the name of a sunroof, even in today's day and age. There was a time when it was only used in super premium cars, but today its used literally in every other car, and still our fellow citizens are going crazy over the sunroof, as if a toddler saw a firecracker for the first time.
Dearest Schumi
I have always liked your quick summaries and your take on companies throwing a bone instead of properly designed products.
But of late your quick comments are taking the discussion away from the focus and making the videos less crisp especially during car reviews.
Thanks for the feedback VR! We’ll keep that in mind.
@motorinc
Thank you MotorInc for your quick response as always with comments, even though it's a nobody like me.
Love your Attitude, Honesty and your style of presentation @Schumi, @Karthik. Thank you for your great reviews always.

Any news on maruti Ciaz?

@shumi, the average height in South korea is taller than average height in India. 29:22

Hello team a unrelevant question.
I am planning to buy a small segment bike for my father who is 60 years old but I couldn't find a 100-125cc with abs why? They also drive in highways with a speed of 60 70kmph they need safety too right? I can't give him a 150cc bikes which are heavy and pillon seats are not comfortable for my mother.whats your take on this?
i dont think so braking would be a issue getting cbs for a 125cc is sufficient don't worry on that front get a shine or sp
But with abs we feel they are lot safe
@@deepaktonangi5136 get him a bajaj platina abs it has single channel abs lesser power, lesser weight, he could handle it easily.
