    Just teceived this unit today off Amazon for 707. It looked new....but i think someone returned it. Everything looks ok. The screen is very nice and part of the reason why I picked it up. The internals is why I picked it up. I work exclusively web based sites and drive. I picked up an Acer Spin 15. Love it. But the Pentium CPU and 4GB doesnt play nice with the Focus CRM web site i use constantly. The Lenovo internals blow through the page fill delays in edit mode. So the Acer is going back. I mean its.not even close like up to a minute waiting. Not surprising. These 2 checked my boxes 15.6 screen backlight keyboard HD screen. The screens are fairly close but the 4k obviously wins but not as much as I thought it would be. There is no comparison in the build quality. Again not a surprise. The only areas where the Acer wins against this beast is sound quality and finger prints the brushed aluminum and plastic on the Acer beats the Lenovo bug time. Going to have to get a couple more rocketbook cloths!. The Acer feels homey to me. The Lenovo feels like a weapon. The tipping point is the internals and the screen is better. 350 swing from the Acer to Lenovo on sale for each. Just so glad to be done with Windows.
    So if your looking for a good all around Chromebook and like big lap tops without any heavy lifting working get the Acer. But if you need power and very nice build end display get the Lenovo. Cheers!

    That whiter screen on the 4K one it's so much more pleasant to the eye then what's on the 1080 version which has a very warm yellowish tint that i do not like at all. I wish they would add a temperature control to adjust this on Chromebooks☹

    Just rcv'd the Lenovo 1080p direct purchase that includes a backlit keyboard. I don't like the 1080p on a dimension this large at 15.6". I can see the pixels on icons, etc. I also got the Acer Chromebook Spin 13 which has a higher resolution and 3:2 ratio. That one is great out of the box if you are ok with 13.5" screen area.

    I like the display size.... that's it. I like the display size! I use my "devices" from 6 am to 5 pm, and some days even longer than that. The super sharp 4k would burn out my retinas so I avoided it even in the new TV I just bought for my husband. Even if Lenovo brought the price down to the $700 range, that is far more than I care to spend. I waited for the price of the HP X360 to come down, and when it finally did it is now at my desk. No regrets at all!

      I want to love the HP X360 especially when it goes on sale for $399 at Best Buy. Great price Great backlit keyboard and trackpad. But the Lenovo C630 may just be worth the extra money. The build quality and especially the Yoga hinge is much better even if it is a little bigger and heavier than the X360. The keyboard and trackpad on the Lenovo are also just as good as the HP. Build quality counts for a lot.

    Still looking at a14" or larger chromebook to replace my 2010 era Macbook pro (this has the old 1200x800 res screens) - so an upgrade mostly for screen resolution and screen real estate for productivity and Netflixing is a priority. Was thinking lighter weight models, but am willing to consider this 4.2 lb beast as it's actually lighter than my 4.5lb 13" MBP - so technically I'll potentially have a slightly lighter laptop, much larger and crisper, screen and faster device for work, plus a great device for play as well. Hmm.... My wife has a W10 Lenovo 14" Flex model w 360 deg hinge, and it's so well built, I'm thinking a Lenovo might be a good long term investment.

    So I received my Yoga Chromebook i3 yesterday from Lenovo and it came without the backlit keyboard. Huge disappointment because online the configuration details stated it did have the backilt keyboard. Well after 35 mins (3 different people) on the phone with Lenovo support, I'm supposed to be receiving a replacement with the backlit keyboard. Super confused as to what Lenovo is doing. Either have the backlit or don't.

    • @417Keto

      So did you get your replacement yet I'm just curious about how it's going and how you like it when you get it?

    • @Lamboy87
      @Lamboy87 5 лет назад +2

      @@417Keto So I didn't get a replacement because Lenovo actually doesn't make the i3 with a backlit keyboard at all. They did however give me a 15% refund which was super nice and kind of made up for the inconvenience of thinking and looking into if it was supposed to have that part.
      Outside of Lenovo's advertising mistake the Yoga Chromebook is a great device. Build quality is great, super fast, love the screen, and I'm a huge fan of Chrome OS. Definitely not going back to PC.

      @@417Keto So update to my update. I received an email from Lenovo today stating that they, in fact, are sending me a replacement model at no cost to me. When I reviewed the email and order number they provided, it appears that they are sending me the 4K model (81JX0008UX). This is absolutely amazing and I truly appreciate Lenovo's gesture after all the initial confusion about which models had the backlit keyboards. So we'll see here in about 3-4 weeks; super excited tho. Thanks, Lenovo!

    My biggest gripe for this existing is why bother having a 4K UHD screen, when you can't even download or stream 1080p content from Android apps on any Chromebook? Netflix.com and VUDU.com (when you block access to verify playback) allow you to do 1080p/HDX no issues. But the Android apps, even setting to download highest quality, do NOT stream or download higher than 480p SD. Fix that issue first before putting out 4K screens, Google!
