Installing a smart lock is a DIY home improvement task, but there are a few very important steps to remember during the installation.

Nice video, I installed this exact unit but the problem is the bolt won't go far enough into the frame when locked and cause an error on the unit. I tried a chisel and a drill, nothing is making it deep enough.

In one word: Router.
In many words:
Hopefully you have a router. AMZ sells templates to make the job easier. HOWEVER if you don't mind getting your hands dirty (and if you're using a chisel obviously you don't)... get some gunky motor oil off your dipstick, put it on the edge of the "dead bolt" and manually (from the inside) close it rapidly until you make a clear black mark on where it goes in the strike plate. You may find you're off a little bit (unlikely given your chisel comment ;) or it's not a deep enough groove.
Then use the router (with or without template) to make the hole deeper. There's no harm in making it too deep. Well, I mean the tree is dead already anyway.
In older homes the door may have shifted so it's no longer parallel to the ground, which means while the dead bolt enters the strike plate, it may hit the sides of the hole inside... and bog down. The dirty oil will show you that. That's where your chisel will help.
I only mentioned chisel like three times because a)It's a lost art, and b)sometimes the manual tool is the best solution to a manual problem. However, for making the hole deeper... router :)
