Food can have such a strong association with memories of the past. B-4 I even watch this I have to say, Sonny, tuna casserole is absolutely one of my favorite comfort foods. Yes, my Mom's. All my comfort foods are from my childhood. Especially chicken and dumplings, and I have failed at every attempt to recreate it. America's test kitchen has a recipe for tagliatelle with prosciutto and peas. I've made it many times for friends and family and as a side dish. Could easily be the main course. Never any leftovers. However it reminded me of tuna casserole. So I made it with tuna instead of prosciutto. Magnifico! Your the best, man.

As soon as I watched the video I went into the kitchen and made this. It was so good! The crunchy breadcrumbs, the creamy and cheesy sauce, sweetness of the onions and peas; amazing! So glad I decided to try it!
Thanks for this chef. I was looking for this type of recipe tonight. Thinking about my mom who passed almost three years ago; she always made a version of this when times were a little tight. I didn’t care for it until I got a bit older, but now I would kill for her recipes.
So this was certainly not a dish I can say I grew up eating, though in America that happens a lot with me. This was a dish I came to try only a couple times in my life and I have lived every experience with it. I hope to try it again with this very recipe thank you so much for sharing.

I have no idea tuna casserole could be made like that. Growing up, mom opened a can of tuna and throw it over some noodles. I thought that’s what tina casserole was. Sonny, you are so lucky.
Wonderful Dude that can cook! Of course there is no debating your mother's recipe, especially not on your birthday. Happy birthday Dude. You know we love you more...
My birthday meal as a kid was my mom’s spaghetti and clams. She would just melt a stick of butter, add garlic, 1 can of minced clams with the juice, and a splash of white wine. Fresh parsley on top and I was in heaven! 😊
I have never had tuna casserole before and thought I'd try it for first time today. that's how I found this video, and I'm going to go make it RIGHT NOW 🤤
I always think of tuna casserole as cheap comfort food. I would never throw a $6 can of tuna into this, you want the chunk light tuna that is only $2 per can, the more expensive stuff isn't going to elevate this. That being said, I am making tuna casserole tonight, that is why I am watching this video now. Love this stuff.
Your mom made tuna casserole close to mine with the exception, some thinly sliced celery, and sautéed with the onions. Breadcrumbs, I did not see panko around when I was little. Happy Birthday💋
This might sound weird and I'm not even sure it counts a comfort food, but I really miss my Mom's salmon patties on Friday nights. Miss Mom too.

Happy Belated Birthday Chef Sonny.. your mother taught you well. Sgt Gilbert's battle scar is commendable. Cheers !
As soon as I watched the video I went into the kitchen and made this. It was so good! The crunchy breadcrumbs, the creamy and cheesy sauce, sweetness of the onions and peas; amazing! So glad I decided to try it!
I LOVED this! Easy, quick & most of all DELISH! The leftovers, not so much. Definitely a keeper
Made this for my family today they loved it. I used cheddar and parmesan mixture for cheese inside and topped.
I grew up eating tuna noodle casserole too! Ah, yummy memories!
Idk if today or yesterday way your birthday; however, happy birthday!!!!!!! Your videos bring me so much happiness and joy. Keep up the excellent work young man
Happy birthday. Thanks for all you post. I learn so much.
I bought a ring at an antique store for 8 dollars that I love, and this is the exact same one. Wow, I love the video. Thanks!
I don’t eat tuna often but I’m tempted to try this one
How about salmon?

I made your dish and wow, so good! Use oat milk instead, and gluten free flour. The panko crumbs topping is superb 👌
A definite repeat! 👍
Happy belated!!!! Yummm, looked wonderful!
Happy birthday! Thanks for sharing an awesome family recipe!
I have no idea tuna casserole could be made like that. Growing up, mom opened a can of tuna and throw it over some noodles. I thought that’s what tina casserole was. Sonny, you are so lucky.
Happy Birthday, Sonny! Thank you for continuing to inspire and entertain us!
Wonderful Dude that can cook! Of course there is no debating your mother's recipe, especially not on your birthday. Happy birthday Dude. You know we love you more...
Happy Birthday 🎂 Sonny! Best Wishes....Awesome tuna casserole!

"if you know what youre looking for it's much easier to find"
that hit deep bro
My birthday meal as a kid was my mom’s spaghetti and clams. She would just melt a stick of butter, add garlic, 1 can of minced clams with the juice, and a splash of white wine. Fresh parsley on top and I was in heaven! 😊
Really like your style and recipes. Big thank you from Holland 🤗
I can almost taste the tuna helper mom made in the early 70s,my mom wasn't as talented as yours..Sure do miss her...........GREAT VID!
Well Happy Birthday! It looks DELICIOUS!

You're so refreshing, Sonny-san. Thank youuuuu
I found your website a day ago and subscribed today. Your recipes are awesome. Thank you so much for putting these videos up. God bless.
Excellent touch on the fridge!
Never had tuna casserole let alone watched a video on. Best introduction to it for sure 💯.
My favorite comfort food is creamed peas with new potatoes. Hard to beat during a cold Midwest Winter.
Your mom made tuna casserole close to mine with the exception, some thinly sliced celery, and sautéed with the onions. Breadcrumbs, I did not see panko around when I was little. Happy Birthday💋
Nice man. You also made me laugh… Thank you. I’m going to give this a spin tonight because I think my two kiddos will enjoy it.
Well, Happy Birthday Sonny. I really do appreciate your videos
