Just started playing and I’m so impressed with how creative you can be when interacting with the environment. I wouldn’t of thought you could chop down a tree to make a bridge. Once I got bombs I started dropping those in ponds and getting tons of fish. Before I figured out cooking I ran into the colder areas with a torch and was able to survive as long as I held it.
Yeah, I was surprised just how many ways I could achieve something. Like putting a torch under an apple on an apple tree will cook it and pop off. 😮 I'm so used to games having only one way of doing something.
For damaged goods, breaking an item on an enemy is a crit. Throwing any item, whether or not it breaks, is also a crit. So don't feel like you have to throw your weapon when it's weak, breaking it on an enemy deals the same damage and tends to knock them back anyways.

I often use the bomb to save on supplies and they are really good for a lot of situations. Like tapping the bow button to drop it while running away. But did you know that each bomb type has its own cool down? So you can switch between each type and constantly throw bombs.
Whether they pick up the game at launch, or a year from now these should continue to be useful little tips/tricks in the first few hours of the game. I'm just trying to give people a better grip on how dense the world is at their capabilities as Link :)
I also learned a new trick.. If you come across a (normally powerful) blade, make sure to save at the blade... Then grab the blade.... If you don't get the bonus you want.. Reload... I did this a few times and got a Royal Guard blade with 25+ attack bonus
Hey Martyn! Here's a tip i found from another tipster: Apparently if you take 4 spirit orbs from the shrines to a Goddess Hylia statue you can get a new permeate heart, or a pip to your stamina wheel.
I cant wait till pay day im gonna buy this!! I got a switch last week and hyped for zelda titles and metroid! The last zelda ive played was ocorina of time for the 64 so gotta catch up lol

Wow...I see now that I'm way too impatient playing this game. I don't take time to explore, I want to play the story, because I want to see what happens, but this way the game is really difficult. I should definitely start exploring more

1 question. does it run aswell as the game looks good? the console is pretty small compared to others and the quality of the game seems to be great so before i make any choices about the switch i just need to know this.
As far as I can tell, yes. I'd recommend looking at Game-informer's play-through commentary. Two of the topics they mentioned was how well the game flowed and the lack of glitches.
Now that it's out, if u don't have a switch yet: it runs perfectly fine though apparently if you play super long non stop the game starts glitching a bit Also I recommend playing in handheld mode cuz in the dock it gets hot much quicker
almost makes me think of an in between of the tales series and dragon quest. Interesting but I am still not quite sure to get a switch when the only game I would play is breathe of the wild.

There is a dude called hetsu he will give u a mission then so you will give him his maracas then after u are done he will ask you for korok seeds and if you give him them he will increase ur inventory space

If you want to catch fish easy just throw a remote bomb in the water near the fish. After explosion they float on top of the water for easy gathering!

Instead of catching fish with your hands I think that if you shoot an shock arrow into the water it will kill all the fish in it.
