And how about all that insane amount of make up?

Kol hakovid, ashreikha! Thank you for telling this great truth and exposing modern chabad lies.
BTW, I knew the people, wig manufacturers and wholesalers, who lied to the rebbe about things in order to convince him to approve wigs at all. They were proud of their accomplishment too. But paid for it dearly - Hashem hit them where it hurt them.

The point is that even if a lady wears a wig it has to be modest one and if you are bringing the lubavitcher rebetzin as a proof then it has to be short and covered by a hat.

Some women wear wigs and are happy to shave their hair because the wigs are more beautiful than their natural hair... and they really show off! 😀Is this modesty? Absolutely not.

Today was the Rebbezin's Yortzeit(forgove my Yiddish) coming back from the Farbrengen, I felt that I had to respond to this video that Ive seen several months ago and it really upset me.
Dear Rabbi Yaron Reuven , your Teshuvah story is so touching and it brougt me to your channel after watching your add. But seing that you tell publicly things that are false just because you are not familiar with all kinds types of wigs that exist, that is just such a shame. The Rebbetzin always was wearing sheitels ever since Her Marriage. She always had the most naturally looking types of wigs so not to stand out. In the picture that showed The Rebbetzin at home she wears a very natural looking sheitel and a snood.
I understand that it is sometimes hard to tell the difference between a real hair and a sheitel, especially if someone has no experiance in wig industry, but not one of Rebbetzins real hair was ever seen since Their Marriage! Moshiach Now!

It's not an obligation for a Bat Noach to wear hair covering, but it is a good recommendation to do it in order to be more modest, which is an obligation.

The second picture of the Rebbetzin is taken before she was married I believe (she married the Rebbe at the age of 27).
Regarding the other picture of the Rebbetzin with the hat, I asked “women” and they told me that they can’t tell either way whether it a wig. Regarding the question of why where a hat if wearing a wig, the answer is obviously that was the style then for everyone to go with a hat...
Rebbetzin Chana the Rebbe mother.. even as a man I can tell that she’s wearing a wig.
The picture in the car is actually her sister Chana not her.
We know for a fact that the Rebbetzin has a grey sheitul as to whether she was wearing it during the famous deposition in her house - we’ll never know! and frankly it’s none of our business, but we know that generally she wore a sheitul.
The Rebbe is the greatest advocate and supporter of sheitul wearing in our generation, for a man that supposedly did so much “research” to say different is really pathetic.

  • @fsp230

Rebbetzin Chana is definitely wearing a wig. I do not doubt for one moment that the Rebbe's wife covered her hair completely. However, most of their heads were definitely covered with hats rather than wigs. They look respectful and dignified.
I don't think that any Lubavitch, G-d fearing man would agree that many wigs today are modest.

As per Halakha, a wig is definitely permitted, some are more stringent and wear only a Mitpachat (mainly ultra Hassidim and some followers of the late R Ovadia Yosef ZL). And some believe a wig is actually more stringent, like the Chazon Ish and Lubavitch, as long as its not provocative.

At that time wigs were such a new concept many people don’t wear. There is a famous story with Rav Soloveitchik a young man asked the Rav- why doesn’t your wife wear a wig, the rebbe answered you can’t think that your wife will do everything you ask her. Same here, it was such a new concept to wear a sheitel in America this time. Just because the rebbetzin didn’t wear a wig, isn’t proof that you don’t need to wear a wig. I can’t believe this, the rebbetzin grew up in a time where wigs were so new and interesting.
