Catching needles using teeth really remind me of Uvogin catching bullet with his teeth. Camerawork during the fight was amazing.
Sunghoo Park is just flexing right now. Directed and storyboarded Monsters ova, directed and storyboarded Ninja Kamui and he solo animated all the action sequences in the first episode. Holy shit this is some heavy lifting... (Extra note: every 2d animator gets paid around the level so its not about budget since most shows have the same, its more about the staff list behind it)

@irecordwithaphone1856 That is true, but also, that's unfair. Studio WIT made the anime up until they didn't want to anymore. There were already 4 years we had waited, and nothing had been released. When Mappa received AOT, they were given half a year to do part 1. Studio WIT needs to stop dropping anime. They did the same with Vinland saga. They're happy to make a quick buck and dip.
I think the needle that he pulled from his hand is either an acupuncture needle or straight up drug that makes him go berserk.
Also, the song is a banger. Its by Coldrain. The vocalist of the band sang the song "Remember" in JJK season 1, during the fight with Nobara and Yuji vs Eso and Kechizu.

If you rewatch it, he does try to pull the needle out of his arm, while running up the stairs(to save his family), but gets hit by needles in the throat. :) Missed it the first time aswell

In the scene that shows him going up the stairs he tried to take the needle out of his arm, but before he got it they poisoned him. The scene on the roof of the hospital was he remembering to visit the bodies of his wife and son and he notices the presence. The needle is used to activate his ki that turns him into a ninja with jujutsu powers.

@9:40 he did try to use his abilities when the assassins attacked his family before he got hit by that poison needle. You can see him reaching at his arm to pull that needle out of it which im assuming is some of kind tech that allows him to use his crazy abilities.

Btw Sunghoo Park, the Director of this show was never a mappa employee. He was a freelancer working for them on contract. He left after his contract ended. He directed jjk s1 and jjk 0. After finishing 0 his contract ended.

There dropping episodes at like 12am Saturday I believe, but it’s on max a little later.
The first ep gave me Punisher meets John Wick type of Vibes but if they fused into one person who's a Ninja Assassin.
When he was going up the stairs in the house he was attempting to pull something from his wrist but got those darts before he could.
I hope the anime stays consistent in the animation and story.

if you go back it shows him trying to pull the needle out of his wrist to use his demon art to save his family but the needles in the neck stopped him from pulling it out to use it

When the title is confusing and you actually think it's Naruto... Well, I'm gonna go rewatch it alone.
Given we've seen a lot of these stories, he probably was a member of an organization, ninja assassin's or something and then he left so now hes being hunted and others like him as well, like the first guy, they changed their appearances and tried to lead a normal life. Either it's his own organization or a rival organization who's decided to hunt these rogue ex assassin's, the needle that he pulled out was probably a suppressor or something like that which would help him blend in even more. BTW the release schedule is every saturday night

No disrespect for the directors of JJK s2 and I personally think they did a GREAT JOB at the fighting animations.
But imagine if Sunghoo Park still directed it, or atleast the hand to hand fight scenes.
Sunghoo Park has a portfolio of animating and appreciating martial arts and actually delivering a hand to hand fights that's captivating
Hope he comes back in s3 atleast just a freelancer again on hands to hands/close combat fights on season 3

The needle in his hand he tried taking it out on the staircase during the family house fight. That was when the ninja behind him got him in the neck. Otherwise he wouldve taken the needle out then and there.
This is one of the few mangas that you can actually watch in english and the quality won't change that much. I actually enjoyed watching it in english as much as in japanese.

Okay have a recommendation here, so I think you guys should watch other genres of anime too like you guys watched those movies. You might like "I want to eat your pancreas" it's a great movie and ALSO..in series you guys might wanna watch "spy x family"..just side by side the shonen stuff you all see..it's a great light heartening series which is great to see after all the fighting. It is also shonen but different, just see 5 episodes, if you like it well and great and if you don't still well and great.
