Great review, man. Good to see a video where the reviewer isn't simply just 'red-lining' it the whole time as if that's how everyday drivers actually drive.
It says on their website that it has an option for AWD. How does that factor in? Also it doesn't have an automatic start which is surprising and disappointing.
Mazda's AWD is unique... it is basically FWD until the car computers determine you MAY slip... and then it activates and puts torque on the wheels that grip, not the wheels that slip. For instance, if the temperature outside is below freezing, and the windshield wipers are on, or any of the 27 sensors detect a situation where it may slip, it MAY activate the AWD. Most AWD cars have AWD on all the time, and wait for the front wheels to slip to distribute more torque to the rear wheels www.motorbiscuit.com/2021-mazda-cx-5-drives-champion-in-snow/
Please let me know which one you would recommend the most or you most likely to buy. ①Kia Sorento ②Nissan Rogue ③Hyundai SANTAFE ④Ford Escape ⑤Jeep Cherokee ⑥Toyota Rav4 ⑦Subaru Forester ⑧Mazda CX-5 ⑨Honda CR-V Please name any other SUVs you like or you highly recommend! Thank you!
I would definitely recommend the RAV4, CR-V, or new Equinox. My lady has a RAV4 and it’s extremely reliable. I also know plenty of CR-V owners who love their SUVs and get 200+k on the odometer. I like the Equinox in terms of power, looks, and interior, but the new design hasn’t really been around that long to test reliability. The others are good cars too honestly, those are just my preferences.
@@NothinButCarReviews thanks for sharing your thought! Toyota will never disappoint us when it comes to reliability. So many SUVs to choose from! thanks for advice!
I have the exact same year CX-5 GT in the same color... As i was sitting in my garage admiring my fine new(ish) car, I noticed that the ''mud flaps'' are mounted in FRONT of the tires instead of BEHIND them. where I think they logically should be.... Does anyone else notice that? Why is that???
@@NothinButCarReviews By the way.... Good Review!!!! I got the car in part because of your review. (the fact that i got the EXACT same car, same year, same model and same color as your review, is a ...um ...coincidence) lol.
Be honest. Is that engine a dog? I like the carbon and turbo, but miss the goodies. So I’m probably going to get the grand if that 2.5 isn’t that slow. Thoughts?
You didn’t mention ALL the doors open 90 degrees which was a huge plus to me as a mom.

Great review. I’m thinking about buying a CX-5.
I Bought the same model AWD, in the same colors. I love it. I wish it had waited for the one with the 4 cameras though.
Very nice luxury/premium vehicle
Yep, especially in this trim!
Does it have wireless apple car play?
I don’t think so.
Yes it has it . Android Auto and Apple. 2019 and up only
@@RobertRivera1427 its not wireless. you have to have a USB connection for it to work

I like turbo better, but both are decent engines.
Great Review. Is CX-5 good for Short People? I am 5'4.
Yes, know several people 5' and under who love theirs! :)
