  • Take a tour from 2019 of Six Flags Over Georgia. This was a video made early in the season last year so some changes were made but mostly minor things. Looking forward to getting back in the parks. Stay safe and thanks for watching. Check out our IG @gpcoasters.

    Wow this brings back memories. I grew up in Atlanta and pretty much lived at Six Flags every summer. I moved away and haven’t been there in over 20 years but this tour brings it all back. Now I want to come to Atlanta and go there!

      Though a lot has changed at the park in the last 20 years, much of it has remained as it was. Very cool to hear that you can still see enough of that to get nostalgic! Hope you can make it back someday. If you do, email us. I'd love to shoot a mini documentary on your reaction to returning after all this time! Thanks for watching!

    This is the closest park to me. It's pretty good but it gets really hot in the summer time. They have a nice little collection of coasters though. For a Six Flags it's a solid park.

    Fun fact! The “center piece” of the park, the carousel, was relocated to this 6 flags in the late 1960s from Chicago.
    There was a park there called Riverview park which was the largest amusement park in the world at the time:)

    • @gpcoasters7824
      @gpcoasters7824  Месяц назад

      Indeed! It was built in 1908 and had famous riders over the years including president Warren G. Harding and even notorious gangster, Al Capone. I absolutely love the ornate carvings along the top of the carousel. Thanks for watching, Lizzie!

    The "employee access road" over the walkways 4 mins in is not a road at all, it's the train track and that's a rock/concrete trestle. I will allow that it does double as an access road, probably ever since the Great Gasp was introduced (and sat for a while where Acrophobia is now, later moved to where Goliath house sits now while the Air Racer occupied that spot). There's been 3 or 4 versions of that bridge over the years but originally it was train track only.

    I actually love tilta whirls, especially with a group of people with a good amount of weight in the cart. Believe it or not, ive had some rides that im sure the positive gs are 4 or higher, and if you hit the down slope just right yoy get floater at the same time. Its amazing

    The last time I was at Six flags back around 2004 , I have not been in years , The tickets were about $9.00 when I went in the early 1970's and now they're probably over $60.00 to get in , What ever happen to the Sky Buckets and also the Bumper Cars ? Does anybody know ? 9-3-2021 12:49 am I live in Toccoa ,Ga which is probably over 100 miles North East of Six Flags Over Georgia .

    • @gpcoasters7824
      @gpcoasters7824  2 года назад

      Season tickets during a sale are around $60. Day tickets are more. Sky buckets have been removed. Bumper cars, too. Sad to see classic attractions removed but the park is better for it, believe it or not. Toccoa isn't that far so I would recommend a season pass.
