Simon is fighting zombies very well. He is staying out of being cornered (you see him planning this out). He takes on Zombs one at a time and aims for head shots.

But, he needs to make sure that the zombie is dead before turning his back on it. The release of the final breath is the indicator that they are dead. I was laughing when he got sucker punched from behind.

10 years later: Simon clicks "use" for magazines but still puts consumables on the hot bar.

I find it amazing that after all this time, Simon hasn’t realised that you don’t need to put food and drink into the hot bar before you can consume it 🤣🤯🤦♂️

what are you on about? The neebs crew in general don't click+A for consumables. Forget about Shift+click on a crafting recipe to set it to craft the max instead of hitting the arrow, and pressing W to craft once you click. Not even Appsro. But, that's not why I love these fellas.

Seeing Simon checking the entrance of the cellar multiple times at the beginning of the video, to make sure not to get surprised by a Zombie, made my heart jump for joy. My boi is growing so fast!

can we all just take a moment to appreciate just how far Simon has come along since the beginning? he has gone from struggling to not fall in to a 1x1 hole in minecraft on the regular, to being able to out survive neebs in a nightly horde challenge. as i always say. Simon for President of Neebs Gaming.

Neebs was screwed day one for building the horrible staircase on his house. It attracted nearly all the zombies. Neebs honestly should of know, but let's be honest NONE OF THEM STILL don't understand zombie pathing which is insane.

I love watching Simon play this, It's one of my favorite games and it's really a nice chill time playing it myself while this video is going.
Quick thing Simon: It's a good idea to pay attention to make sure you see the experience gained pop up in the corner when the zombie falls over because then you know you actually killed it!

Simon, here's a tip: While out and about, chop down any tree stumps you come across. They have a chance to drop a jar of honey which iirc cures 5% infection.

after watching these episodes i am convinced that IRL Simon actually hears the spooky Halloween style music in his head when playing a horror game, and during his everyday life when something freaks him out.
and of course he also hears upbeat happy music when he's in a good mood

In the solo play you seem to get less overwhelmed that when you play with the guys, also you are far more competent in this game that you give yourself credit for.

@Simon, it amazes me on how much stuff you miss. When you're in a house, slow down, look around carefully. In the cabin you missed opening the furnace in the basement, several cabinets with the rickety panels and a box on top of the cabinets in the kitchen. And that's me just noticing things you missed in the first 3 minutes.
I honestly didn't think I would enjoy watching a Simon solo play as much As I do. And yet it's like the highlight of my week. :D
I love watching these dedicated Simon Episodes, especially while making dinner. If I ever get confused or frustrated about what’s going on, I can always tell myself, Simon is too.

Man watching Simon try to kill himself and seeing spikes made me yell at my TV 😆😆😆😆 After all the accidental spike deaths I was excited for him to just throw himself on the spikes
i also play this game in VR. It is pretty cool if you want to try it, it is a cool mod. It doesn't ruin the flat screen experience, but it makes zombie slaying fun in VR. keep being awesome Simon

Simon, here's a tip I use all the time whilst playing. So much so that it's now an instinctual reaction.
If a Bert goes down & I'm not 100% sure it's re-deaded then I quickly glance at the bottom right corner of the screen to see if XP has popped up. If you don't see the XP then it's gonna get back up. So many times I see you turn your back on a Bert that's not re-deaded.
This tip's best for when it's only a small amount of Berts (during a horde it's useless).
I hope this helps you to die less & win one of the challenges like cull-de-sacked so you can have your moment of glory & gloating.

Hahaha no he won't be gunning for Appsro in this life or the next. I appreciate his content and know what to expect, but I'd like to see how many days it takes him to make his first bicycle or mini-bike. Dude's selling mod blueprints and mods like he's stacked with late game gear. Still running around in plant fiber pants as well. I'd guess we get one horde night out of this playthrough but I'd be happy to be wrong!

I started playing this game because it looked fun and I watch Simon and i think damn it can't be this hard and i was right as long as you keep on top of your thirst it is fairly good also the batons are great. Also simon just eat broken glass to end it all in game.

I have the same problem. I go looting, & only have like 5-8 empty slots...never enuf. If this were The Long Dark, you would have died so many times from being encumbered already !!! Oooo, that should be your next dumpster dive ! 🎉🎉🎉
Simon a piece of advice if you watch the bottom right corner of the screen the zombie died if you get the xp unless its a sneak attack (crouch atack) those you get xp every time weather the zombie died or not. Also if you use the sort button on your inventory and chests you may find you have more space than you think.

Simon my heart, I know you probably won't read this but switch to the bat my friend, the stats may say sledge does most damage but it's really only good for breaking blocks. Plus when you upgrade the strength tree it will also help you with shotguns, which I figure you'd probably like
Also the bat's specialty is knocking zombies away and out of your grill.

I love watching Simon grow over the years as a gamer but I'm now grey and have no finger nails with how many time's he walks passed a medical cabinet, or a medical pile. 😰
You can farm tree stomps if you're really struggling for honey and can't get any at the trader either
So aggravating when we can clearly see the hidden bag behind the false cabinet door in the kitchen, he stares right at it, and then he walks away.
Someone should go through these and make a montage of all the unlooted and "hidden" loot Simon's missed. It may be longer than a regular upload at this point.

I wouldn't mind seeing Simon play different games each episode in a series. Where he plays until he dies. For example, he plays fallout 4 one episode and dies from a rad roach in 20min. Then another episode is like 7 days to die where he is alive for 2 hours lol. But they would have to be he don't have years of experience.
Sometimes it's painful watching simon... sometimes it's hilarious... and then there's times it's excruciating 😅

Every building that is a POI has a path through it where you dont have to bash down any doors. There is always a path of least resistance ... find it. And stop using that sledge hammer till you have enough stamina to swing it more than twice without getting winded. Use a club or a knife. Club does knock back but the knife does bleeding damage... that means the zombies will still stagger with the club but if you wanted to try the knife it would cause them to die of blood loss sometimes when you werent actively stabbing them. Just dont use that sledge till you are good enough to be able to swing it without getting winded.
Watching Simon play makes me want to pull out my hair.
i guarantee you will die 90% less if you keep a stack of wooden trap doors on you and just put it down at any door you think has a zombie behind it. Alternatively, you can shut the door wen you hit a zombie, let it hit the door, then open and smack em again. Hopefully this makes it a little bit less frustrating for you bro! we fucking love you, just keep having fun man!
Your own spikes would've been fine to kill you and they're right outside your house simon 😂
Tip for our boy. You get XP when you kill a zombie. Just check the bottom right to see if you got any when they go down.
Also tree stumps
Simon, stop putting food in your hotbar if you're going to eat it immediately. Just click it then click use.
You can also mod armor without taking it off.
To tell if a zombie's dead or not, look in the bottom right to see if you got xp.(or just stare at em)
