I have a question about how best to use the 200MG lens. In this video you took the photo first then you zoomed in. In this NYT article the author says the advantage of this lens is that you can zoom in on the subject as you are setting up the shot, then when you take the shot no light or detail will be lost as is often the case with regular zoom functions on mobile phones. So do you take the shot and then zoom when using the 200MG or do you zoom first then take the shot?
WOW! Thank you so much for explaining camera settings! Also, when in camera photo mode, you can choose to keep 50 MP and 200 MP resolutions applied instead of switching to the default resolution when you close the Camera app. You do this by tapping the Settings gear button, scroll down to the "Settings to keep" option, then tap on it. Select the button next to the "High picture resolutions" option to activate it. Now you're all set to take higher picture resolutions using the 50 MP or the 200 MP resolution option 😃
I had Iphone mini 13 earlier. Used it for 8 months. It was my first and the best iPhone ever had. I had no issues with that phone not even with the battery life. I felt bad to let it go, as it was very pocket friendly and hand friendly. Putting it in any of pocket was really easy. I had use was awesome. The only problem I had with it was while reading text. I am slightly missing it now. When I had it, my wife wanted to trade her big giant phone with my Mini and I was like no. I had purchased Mini 13 for a reason and it is a great phone. The ios sucked on it though! I wanted to come to back to Android, so few weeks ago I preordered the S23 ultra and trade it in with my Mini. I am so happy that I made the right choice! Again I am not an apple fan boy and I just love android, prior to getting my mini, I had used Android for 10 years and I was missing a lot of features in iOS. So now that I am back to android after trying apple, I am never ever going back to apple. I am just loving the S23 ultra. My wife now wants to trade her big useless giant iphone with my Ultra and I am like no way. Android is android and apple will never be able to catch up!
@@jahanaana906 Have you received it? I am loving it. The phone is a true ultra phone and so many features. I say its a true feature rich phone. I am enjoying everything about it. The key to using 50mp and 200mp photos is having very good light. Trying to take the high megapixel photos in doors takes worse pictures than the 12mp option without good light. I spent two days taking different pictures in different light conditions.
Thank you so much for your comment. I had been running the 100 on my 22U and the pictured were sometimes amazing and sometimes absolutely horrible. It makes sense and I cannot thank you enough.
You missed 6th tip while recoding a video there is an icon that let your lenses track moving objects that zoom in and out too its hidden too but so amazing. I'm not happy with the term "People not using the 200MP mode don't know what they are doing". In low light, it's better to use the 50MP or even the 12MP over the 200MP. Why? Because of Pixelbinning. If I wouldn't own this Phone already, I would think that everything but the 200MP mode sucks. In fact, at least for low light, I personally wouldn't recommend using the 200MP option at all. I'd like to change your sentence to: "People who switch to 200MP and never use any other mode don't know what they are doing". 😅

Nice video! I looked in the comments, but can't find it if someone already asked it, but I took a 200M picture, but the info says 150M. How come? Is this calculated or something due to light and stuff?
Sakitech, thank you for the very informative video! Can you help me with this: for Christmas I want to take family pictures with me in it. I know how to do the timer and how to take bursts but I cannot figure out how to do both together. I was hoping to time for 5 - 10 seconds, get in the group and 20 or so pictures are taken.
I did a lot of testing and it turns out Expert RAW is thrash comparing to Pro mode RAW. It's so over-processed (mostly to kill the noise from RAW), that it kills the natural look of the image. Also it's HIGHLY inconsistent, means some images will look great, some incredibly bad, and some even unusable (like sky completely white for some reason). 12MP and 50MP behave completely differently in Expert RAW, test it yourself. As I was a dSLR user for at least 10 years, I can tell you safely that Pro mode RAW is the closest you can get to the entry-level dSLR RAW quality. Any RAW photo in Pro mode will produce a ton of noise above ISO 100, and I bought Topaz Denoise to deal with it, and it produces great results, kills 95% of noise without completely destroying the image like S23 Ultra post-process does (JPG in Photo mode and RAW in Expert RAW).
At minute 3.39 , the moment after you take the foto and you going to look at the foto they automatically change the picture (you see the balls moving above the photo) , make it darker .. I hope it is possible to switch that off because it doesn't make my macro photos better. And also it's not only make it darker it change a little .. it's not exact the foto that's taken...
Yeah that is called "refining". I have hunted and it looks like you CANNOT turn it off!. The only mode i can see that doesn't use it, is in PRO mode with both the 12mp and the 50mp. What you see on the screen is what you get!
I have a note 20 ultra, and it is still holding up strong. Iphone people still get wowed when they see the quality of pictures my note 20 ultra takes. Maybe I will wait for the S24.

You are the first person that talks and explains in a slow way you can follow

So do you take the shot and then zoom when using the 200MG or do you zoom first then take the shot?

This was great to watch and very informative. Thank you so much!!
A truly excellent video, the best yet and I've seen quite a few.
Where can I purchase that tripod for s23 ultra
Thank you so much for this fantastic video.
thank you

I literally just bought this phone, does it stay in those modes as you change them?
Thank you. This was very helpful to me
Everything about the phone is premiere. I'm obsessed. The night time photo is cool as fuq I wish I could post em
Those are really cool features! Thanks for doing what you do!
Excellent tutorial. You are a great instructor. Thank you!

Thanks for this wonderful tips and tricks
I have a note 20 ultra, and it is still holding up strong. Iphone people still get wowed when they see the quality of pictures my note 20 ultra takes. Maybe I will wait for the S24.
