Spent so much of my life camping like this in all weathers but now I'm in my 70s it's good to be in a warm armchair with a glass of port watching someone else have fun. Enjoy.😊

Yeah, Rapid Robert. I'm in the same boat. All I could think about while watching him was "what if he had a medical emergency, what if his knife or axe slips?" It's the kind of emergency I never thought about when I was 20, 30, or 40.
He reminds me of a guy I used to work with. He qould grab 1 tool at a time and bring it to the car he was working on, instead of just grabbing the tools you need in 1 trip. Put steak on plate, position steak just right, set plate down, put steak on next plate, put plate down, grab first put mushrooms and onions on. Too much wasted time in everything he did. Lol

I think only Canadians that live in the country in the North where it gets that cold or close to it would understand why when he started the chainsaw he ran the blade towards the snow lol. It was to make sure the oil was flowing onto the chain before using it because in the frigid cold that oil gets very thick.👍

Man, you have given me such a carving for real pan fried chips (My late mother used to cook the best chips ever). No woman in the world could fail to be swept off her feet by that meal (unless she is vegetarian, of course).
Hopefully one day I will be lucky to experience at least a week like this in the winter in the middle of the woods and cook. It’s just a must for the soul 🙌🏼
That's stupid. That's a week of squatting like an animal when you shit. That's a week of doing everything you want to do in a day for like 4 hours and then being bored as fuck the other 16. That's a week of sleeping like shit because the wind and other noises will wake you up at all hours. That's a week of being so fucking cold that you stop paying attention to your toes and realize they're purple later when you take your boots off.
