Congrats, Woddie and family!
Thanks Paul!
Paint Slinger! What a beautiful family... you are truly blessed! Congrats on your new home and your new studio. It is so nice to have your own quiet place to sling paint. It looks like it will work out well especially with the natural light streaming in. As for your new neighbors outside of your window, I don't believe you will be receiving any negative reviews from them. Keep Slinging Brother!
Thanks as always for the kind words and support of the channel Ken! Hahahah! Well said as always. From what I've heard the "neighbors" are big fans of slinging paint as well😉
Such a sweet family! So happy for all of you! Woody, your studio is amazing and the pumpkin painting is wonderful. I sit when I paint too. It's relaxing!
Thank you so very much for the kind words and your continued support of the channel Kay! Hahahah! I started standing up about half way through. I guess I'm so used to standing while I paint that that is actually what's relaxing for me.
@@WoodieWebber LOL! That's so funny! We are not used to seeing you sitting so it was a pleasure seeing you relaxing and painting while sitting. 👍👍👍
Almost didn’t recognize you without the hat. Lol. Congrats on the new house and the new studio!
Hahahaha! I was waiting for someone to say that😉 I decided to dress in my civilian clothes for this one. Thanks for the kind words and support of the channel Wendy!
Congratulations Woodie...hope you and your family enjoy your new home in NJ! It is wonderful that you still have you place in Manhattan as well. Look forward to following your videos on either side of the Hudson :) Happy Halloween 👻🎃🐈⬛
Thanks so very much for the well wishes Laura! I'll definitely be keeping myself busy painting in both locations. Glad you're enjoying the videos!
Exciting changes in your life! I love the pumpkin painting and I look forward to watching more videos from your new studio!
Thanks as always for watching and supporting the channel! I had fun making this video and plan to do more in this format in the future.
I love watching you paint but it appears not as much as my cat! She is incredibly enamored by your fast-moving brush and tries to catch it every single time it leaves the screen 🤣🤣🤣
Hahaha! Glad to hear the feline community is embracing the videos😉Thanks for watching and continuing to support the channel!
@@WoodieWebber I'll have to watch on my laptop sometime and catch her doing it on video I can include it in one of my videos and tag you so you can see it 😂 It truly is priceless
You’re not too far away from where I grew up. West Milford/Greenwood Lake in the highlands region. One of America’s greatest Hudson River School artists, Jasper Cropsey, lived next to the lake and did many paintings there and around Middle Jersey. George Innés was a Jersey boy to. Later in life they both stated doing a semi plein air style.
I bought your 8x10 Sleds and Dogs and it’s lovely. Having it framed right now.
Funny you say that. We were contemplating moving to West Milford as well. I love the Hudson River School. I also am a big fan of tonalism and I painted in that style for many years before crossing over to plein air. George Innés is one of my favorite painters ever. My wife and I lived in Princeton a few years back and I'd always call out what I referred to as "Innés Scenes" when driving or walking around at dusk. He captured the way light illuminates small chunks of a landscape during that magical time of day absolutely perfectly. I definitely see the NJ influence on his work. I'm so glad you like the painting! I'd love to see a picture of "Sleds and Dogs" after it's framed. Thank you so very much for supporting my artwork and this channel!
@@WoodieWebber you would have loved it in West Milford. Sun goes down and you’re away from a population center and you can’t see your hand In front of your face. Native brook trout in the countless little brooks and streams put there by God. Bear, deer, bobcat, lynx, otters, beaver, the occasional mountain lion passing through, rattlesnakes, copperheads…..lots more snow than the surrounding areas though. Roads get impassable sometimes but the ice skating is wonderful. Can you tell I miss it?
@@WoodieWebber I’ll send you a photo when it’s done. My buddy is a master framer. Most of his clients end up saying “just do what you think looks best” after he’s done a job or two for them.
I asked you about paintings of Arthur Ave and add West Milford to the list. So many stunning views, vignettes.
That’s a pretty nice place you have there Woodie, more room for the growing family. It’s nice to have a dedicated studio and you can’t beat the natural light. The still life turned out great. Noticed you had corn oil, I haven’t seen this before, is it like linseed etc? Good luck with the new place.
Thanks for the kind words leigh. It's nice to have a studio after being a "nomadic" artist for so long. The corn oil is actually for cleaning the brushes. It's a tip I picked up a few years back from the late Charles Sovek. He's one of my favorite painters of all time and a huge influence on my painting philosophy. Happy painting!
@@WoodieWebber Thanks Woodie, will have to give the oil a try.🙏
Good luck in your new studio! Looks like a great space. What are the red glasses you were wearing in the beginning of the video? I noticed them in 1 of your plein air videos too.
My goodness your son is adorable!!! Your wife is so beautiful and what a wonderful support she is for you! Bless you all!
The painting turned out awesome. When you laid the first layer on the pumpkins I was so confused but then you went back over them. They turned out awesome.
Corn oil? Instead of linseed? Or ? 🤔
Thanks so very much for the kind words and support of the channel! Blessings to you as well. I just use corn oil to wash my brushes. I got the idea from one of my favorite painters ever. The late Mr. Charles Sovek. Happy Painting!
@@WoodieWebber awesome! I will check this out. I had no idea! Thanks for the tip!
Wow! What a nice studio space ... Painting is wonderful ... Just curious why you put little pumpkin in the corner ?
Thanks as always for the kind words and support of the channel Nancy! The little pumpkin in the corner of the painting was supposed to balance out the composition. I didn't really achieve what I was hoping by putting it there, but it was the one my son picked out and I didn't have the heart to paint it out of the piece. I guess sometimes sentimentality trumps esthetics😉
Congratulations on the new place, but I’d hate to see the streets of NYC lose your light
No worries Mark. We still have our apartment in the city, so I'll be painting the streets of NYC a few times a week. Thanks for the kind words and support of the channel!
Looks out over a graveyard? Well,at least your neighbors are quiet 🤷🏻♂️
Hahaha! Yeah, about that...😉 Thanks for watching and supporting the channel!
