- As he takes us through the New York City home that he shares with husband Nate Berkus and their two kids, 1stDibs 50 honoree Jeremiah Brent (@JeremiahBrentDesign ) speaks with great eloquence and passion about the role of design in his life. Many of his treasured pieces-a René Prou daybed, a 1940s shearling chair, reclaimed floor tiles-were found on 1stDibs, a favorite resource for the designer, who calls it “a hub of inspiration.” Read more about Brent’s work in our Introspective feature: bit.ly/3wJdY2y
🎥: Chalkley Calderwood
Editors' Note 5/16/24: The entry tiles featured in the hallway are actually by Paris Ceramics and were not sourced on 1stDibs.

Love, Love, LOVE Jeremiah. His style and taste is unmatched.
I am always captivated by your genuine sincerity in the explanations of every piece. The great part of the two of you lovebirds is how things are always changing, like life itself. You’ve brought another huge smile to my ❤️💜🙏
Oh my goodness! I love this man. Can’t believe he’s going to be on Queer Eye! ❤ Netflix better get ready for an injection of sophisticated and brilliant design!!! Ugh!! I can’t wait 😁
Love him …he has such incredible taste and that is rare since most people just follow the trends…
Jeremiah is such a special soul...God bless him!
Love him!
The "windows" in that kitchen, are about 1 in a billion. (Created or original to the space?) Either way - extraordinary. Jeremiah dreamed of children sitting around a kitchen island, and today they're there. . They have "peopled " their space, its details and textures - with minimal compromise. How dense with blessings all around. Enjoy guys, and thank you for the share.
Love Olive ! She is very comfy in a chair that blends with her fur !
Some of you saying it looks like no kids live there, glass tables were very popular and affordable for years and everybody had one at one time so were wooden sofas and these are male high end interior designers whose job it is to be neat and pristine (nate and jer) so you will not find legos everywhere bcz everything they show abt their own home is supposed to be a reflection of their professional work too. It is not jers fault he dreamed big and went after the career he wanted and added bonus met and married a rich man in same said career and is accustomed to a certain lifestyle. He came from nothing and dreamed big and voila! Plus he is not lying older AD video from when poppy was a baby you will see the frst dibbs chair so this is not just a frst dibbs commerc
Thank you for sharing you and your husband's beautiful home.❤❤😊😊
this home is open elegant beautiful and has a very cozy atmosphere 😊
Congrats on the Queer eye spot! Lovely home!
Whole thing feels like an ad for first dibs
lol, bc it is.. people with a lot of money to spend, bc 1stdibs are expensive af.
Love this.
i love this so much. the home looks beautiful
What a beautiful apartment. The kitchen & dining area is to die for ♥️
Thanks guys. ❤
Beautiful.
I agree that 1stDibs is a different level of shopping, he’s married to a millionaire and has multiple houses so do you boo 😊
Jeremiah, I love the work. when are you coming to London to re-do my flat please???!!
If only we had 1st dibs Europe and shipping costs to the EU and shipping/import costs weren’t so expensive. Amazing apartment!💚
The majority of this really expensive stuff on 1stdibs comes from Europe, so you basically have to go search the markets just like the buyers for 1stdibs.
French day bed is an incredible find.
The kitchen! 🔥
Love it.
Lv the cocktail table
I love that Jeremiah is going to be on Queer Eye!
I'm still disappointed Jeremiah and Nate didn't win
Rock the Block.
I love himmmmm
Amazing home! Much love from South of France
It's a beautifully curated apartment. It's not a 'home' but it's chic and elegant.
Everyones idea of a home is different. I for one definitely wouldnt want pictures of family on the wall, or a fireplace and some reclining sofas for my home but then that’s some people’s paradise
The Jean pouvre daybed is remarkable ;( I have original Pouvre chairs .) thank god there are none of those wicker hanging lights in sight !
This is elegant.
What’s wrong with wicker hanging lights?! Depends on the light!
Sexy, calm and well curated.
The kitchen area is great though
So many pieces artitistic. Lovely 3:17
I love you Jeremiah 😉😙💖
is 1st dibs like offer up?
Baby doll….where are your kids paintings and their precious art work…..these have to be put on your walls….my kids are in their forties and my grand kids are teenagers and they make sure I have not removed anything they made for GAGA….LOVE YALL. HUGS carolyn from Columbus ga
You saw probably 20% of the home. And either way, good parenting has nothing to do with how much pictures of your kids paintings you put up in the wall, baby doll.
Well Carolyn some of us are not hoarders
Not your home gramma. Dont worrry about it.
In longer tours they show the kids artwork on the walls downstairs
The children have their own floor full of their own artwork, neon signs, and bins full of Legos. I think that you might be pleasantly surprised at how incredibly beautiful their rooms are given that Jeremiah and Nate let them be a part of the design process and had them choose their own wallpaper, fabric, colors etc. According to them, "It was important for them to express their unique creativity, and it is their favorite space in the whole house." The entire tour can be seen on the architectural digest RUclips channel. It was utterly delightful and I hope you have a chance to see it.
I thought they had a townhouse? Oh well, beautiful 2nd or 3rd or 4th home. 😁
Prices of these pieces are WILD!!!
Love your style!🏳️🌈
Gorgeous and $$$$$$$$$$$$
Okay, how old are your kids, and do they really live there?? Our toddlers would rip through that pottery in seconds
They have a cat❤
My worry with this house, which looks great by the way, is where are the kids hanging out? where are they allowed to make mess, play, disrupt things? becasue as someone who grew up with a father in interiors who never allowed mess i can tell you , it fucks you up. Kids need to be able to explore, be dirty, throw things arund and this is a very sterile environment for children. I saw a video where there boy was brishing his hair at like age three making it oerfect and my worry would be hes already being indoctronated with the same sense of need for perfection his parents have for aesthetic which is not healthy in any way whatsoever
Worry about your kids for a start
It looks like a museum cold looks like no one lives there.
Queer Eye? Is that still a show? Who's watching it?
Great house. Seems like an advertisement for 1st dibs
It is
Who is this guy? Where have I been? He's hot, sexy, articulate, smart, love his beautiful thick head of hair, youthful skin, hot quads. Like, has he made a film or something? He's on fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
He's been known for quiet a while, first appeared on The Rachel Zoe Project back when he was a celebrity stylist, then after marrying Nate Berkus, the couple were on a number of Interior design related tv shows and web series
perfect showroom with No evidence children live there?
ok.
🎈
Love the kitchen..don’t love New York…
Everything is designer....even the cat?? Sure hope he's a rescue.
Stop EVERYTHING!!! You started this video with the sign of the Shaka. I live in HAWAII😎. That sign we make with our hands means “hang ten” put all ten toes on the front tip of the surfboard and RIDE THE WAVE. Take chances! Feel the exhilarating chills of reaching shore. Did you know that for the fall session of our Hawaiian State Legislature a bill is before it to make the Shaka the official hand symbol of the Hawaiian Islands. It’s true. In Hawaii we have nothing better to do 🤣 You kinda sound like L.A. or maybe Chicago. Not so sure you are allowed to use our symbol of FREEDOM 😊 If you did grow up here like Bette Midler then by all means spread our Aloha😎. Happy Aloha Queer Eye😅 😎🏖️🏄🏼♂️🍍🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈
Need a little heart and soul....
Nah, thats what old people say
@@tangofoxtrot40 Cool. Old people are right.
@@isabelleskiss like Nazis? And Trump? Because they old old.
@@tangofoxtrot40 I'm not old myself, but I'm very aware of discrimination and ageism isn't trivial, it's deeply fascist at heart.
No, I meant old like Socrates, Albert Schweitzer, Jane Goddall and the peace movement activists of the 60s...
@isabelleskiss it's ALWAYS the old women who make comments such as "looks better before" or "it doesn't look like a home" ALWAYS!
Comb your hair.
Each one of these pieces are a treasure; riddled with provenance, but, Cobbled together like this, it resembles a flea market. So disjointed and, dare I say it, junky feeling. It’s not a home it’s a poorly edited showroom.
I disagree
I actually agree it’s like a showroom for vintage pieces. Chic and gorgeous though, but not necessarily for practical living.
Blah...Boring. Looks like an exhibit of beautiful objects. No soul in there. Form but no essence.
Not to me. If you like cushy clutter it’s your style babe but dont demean someones home when it isnt yours
@@tangofoxtrot40 Of course it's not mine;.It's one RUclips..I have every right to say what I think. It's boring as fuck. Looks cold as hell. Poor kids not being able to run around without breaking something
So boring. Can't stand Jeremy. He's such an opportunist. Queer Eye was previously about unknowns coming in and being fabulous. Jeremy didn't need this gig.
You are just jealous!
Meow 😸
Why would I be
There's nothing to be jealous of here. I don't want that job or that lifestyle. I'm saying that Queer Eye historically didn't bring in people who already were celebrities. And I don't see Jeremy being hands-on and doing some of the work himself as previous cast members did. Plus, my personal opinion is that his taste is boring.
@@evaperson3976well, at this point in time where JEREMIAH is being becoming part of the cast, none of the original members are unknown anymore, they’re celebs. It’s obvious by your comment that you haven’t watched any of the shows him and Nate have been part of, you’re seeing him all dressed up and showing his house, that doesn’t mean his not “hands on”. If anything, his stepping in the role left by Bobby of doing the actual heavy work of remodeling someone’s home, while you have Antoni making avocado toast, Jonathan taking the person a hair salon and not doing anything, Karamo’s dumb speeches while being completely oblivious to the situation the person is in… and then Tan, completely useless person.
