It’s a great hobby, very interesting, and has good community, but certainly can be very expensive and addictive. I appreciate seeing what “regular” people (not the super popular RUclipsrs) spend as well as whether they have regrets, so thank you. I top out around $200. There are so many really good bottles up to that price that are good, it’s hard for me to justify spending more right now.
I haven’t gone over $199 yet. Only a few bottles that I would go over $200 for but I probably won’t get the chance because they are super rare or unicorns.
Clearly I have a problem because I have quite a few $200+ bottles and don't have a RUclips channel lol. I did also buy the Total Wine Chestnut Farms but I got the full proof and it was $150+tax. It's pretty good, about $100 good. So $50 for the wood box I guess.
@@robertd2883 I would have more if we got anything in the Old Louisville, Old Carter, or Four Gate lines... But MI doesn't get distribution for any of those 😂 also, none of my Scotch or Japanese bottles were included
@@T.ROD_WHISKEY we have Four Gates galore in Georgia because nobody buys them. Nowhere near worth the price. Your expensive and disappointing bottle list would grow if you did.
@@T.ROD_WHISKEY It's only disappointing because of the price. Like so many whiskeys these days. Good juice, just not worth the price. I'd like to say it's my opinion, but the state of the whiskey world today is pretty much expressing that same notion.
@robertd2883 you would be correct, for certain. The whiskey market, much like the stock market, is eventually going to hit an adjustment, and I feel like we're there
Dude- this was a great idea of something new regarding whiskey. Thanks for going against the grain. I just purchased the Woodford double double and somewhat regret it. Not that great imo, specially for the price.
I think you might have a skewed opinion on what “expensive bottles” are. Maybe try using “I” statements and what’s costly and expensive mean to you personally ; it just made the video a little clickbaity in my opinion.

@@maitrilyn1029 my ceiling is about there as well. I would love to spend that big money, but I can't do it.... Yet.

@@DerekZimmer I don't flirt with that price range too often myself, but when I do, I try to make sure it's a real good one
T-Rod! We need to meet up this year when the weather warms up. I'll bring pours from our distillery and see if you enjoy them.
@@TomMorrow78 sounds like a plan to me! Get at me on IG and we'll see if we can't set something up!!
I have heard great things about LSF blood lines.

Yeah this is a very expensive habit.
Very true! It will definitely put a hurting on your wallet, no doubt about it
@ Yes it does! I have already spent $700 this month 🤢
