Everyone should already have 1000 rounds per caliber at the least 😳
Bare minimum
My rule is 1k rounds per weapon system.
@@aSoldierOfJesus that's cause you dont have brains enough to hide during daytime and dont have a silencer, night sights and night vision, If you have to fire more than 100 rds of 223, 200 rds of subsonic 22lr, or 20 rds of 9mm, the first year of shtf, you're doing so much wrong that you'll never make it. In a year, 99% will be dead, ,and the game long gone, so WHAT will you shoot at, hmm? Can't practice, cause ammo will be too precisious. Practice NOW, so you dont lose your first fight (nor your 10th) cant make noise, show a light at night, nor be out in daylight, once shtf.
@@aSoldierOfJesus that just shows your ignorance. If you dont MISS, you'll be picking up guns and ammo from the dead.
How much ammo is enough? 50% more than you have.
😂🤙
The harsh reality is that most of you are going to be worm food before you get 90 rounds off out of a rifle, never mind handguns.
30, if it's daytime and not suppressed.
Yeah, store thousands of rounds, have all kinds firearms & gear/accessories, & tons of supplies blah, blah, blah & some clown in a tank top & flip flops who looks harmless walks up behind you when you're not paying attention & puts one in the back of your head & takes all of your stuff. LMAO
This is the conclusion I finally came to. Most people aren’t going to have what it takes to survive. And if they do, they’ll lose themselves. I’ll stay home and board the windows up, but realistically I’ll just be a epic loot drop for some brutal mf’er.
I remember when I could pick up a brick at 22 for $9.50
Same the good old days 🥹
In the '90s I met an old guy, who told of buying a brick of .22s at the hardware store when he was eight years old, and they sold them to him in California.. (It must have been pre-FDR / NFA).
I bought 20000 22's from Cabela's in ammo containers on sale, a number of years ago. I figure since everyone in the US has a 22 rifle they will make a great trading asset.
I vividly remember a brick of 550 rounds of Federal .22lr being $9.95 at Wal-HOLE and box of 5 shells of 00 and 000 12 gauge buckshot being $2.49. I sure took those days for granted.
Miss those days

Ammo is the currency of choice during SHTF.
There is no such thing as TOO MUCH ammo.
There's no such thing as too much money right.
But preparing is a never ever ending endeavor. If u have 20k rounds of ammo and no freeze dried food or water
you've purchased too much ammo.
Water
Food
First Aid Medicine
Weapons
Ammo
Tools
Relationships U can't do much for any amount of time w/o help.
I've been a preper for a while.
But every week, I learn something or become aware of info i hadnt taken in consideration.
Read or Listen to survival fiction .
Relationships are so important. That's why the gubs have made militias almost illegal to mention. I would never be in a militia because I have no need to meet a bunch of glowies wanting to fight the government. My goals are to hide from them as they tear themselves apart. Im too old for that shit anyway.
I change the way I train to conserve bullets. I load 2-3 mags with 4-5 rounds each ( include a snap cap to simulate a midfire ) mag. That way I can learn how to get on target, clear a misfire, and reload all in one drill.
Smart idea 🤙
most shtf people will find that if you get into a firefight you probably wont got thru more than about 20 rounds before you wont need to worry anymore
Ammo stockpiles are really more about bugging in, aren't they? Bugging out is all about weight, stealth, and conflict avoidance.
nice video, straight forward, well done. thanks
Glad u liked it
@@FrontClipz Be safe you have a friend in Pennsylvania.
All solid info man, i think people forget to stock good self defense rounds in their stockpiles and that if the worst case happens and you have to bug out, you definitely are not taking but a fraction of it with you!
plenty of it can be buried at your BOL.
I live in a "bug out" area, so I doubt I'll need to leave, this side of a brush fire.
Great video. Confirms alot of what I already practice. Thanks for sharing. Just sub'd. Keep going Bro-
Appreciate it 🤙
@@FrontClipz no doubt. Gotta support the community
The nose ring goes great with your uniform. You should stockpile friends and family. The only thing that will see you through an actual SHTF scenario.
Noted 😂
I actually seal my ammo with..."Seal -A-Meal"...then it really doesn't matter what type of ammo can you're packing it in...
No no you still want to use metal ammo cans If you’re storing bulk ammo, the price of buying actual ammo cans is more than with it.
Plastic is not an oxygen barrier. You really need Mylar at the very least, ideally trilaminate. Plastic is good for short term weather exposure and dust protection, but not much more than that.
Way things are going, there's no such thing as ever enough firearms or ammo. Just can't forget to stock up on other important stuff.
Yess that’s exactly what we cover here on this channel the importance of preparedness for the every day citizen.
Well said, good video, thanks for sharing n' God bless
Glad you enjoyed it
there's practice ammo (or reloading components and scrap lead) which you should store-up in case it becomes super-expensive again, and there's actual shtf, ammo. They are not the same thing. You need 1000 rds of 223 per year, 5000 rds of 22lr and 3000 rds of 9mm, just to maintain a decent skill level. It takes twice that much to ATTAIN that skill-level You want 60 gr Nosler Partition softpoint ammo for the 223 and 50 gr, 2000 fps, solid copper Liberty Arms ammo for the pocket 9mm, which is best for both shtf and EDC CCW. Practice with normal 22lr ammo. I once went thru 120,000 rds in 3 years of IPSC competition/training, half of it cast bullet .45 ACP reloads and half thru 22lr conversion unit on a 1911. I wasnt really that much better than I am now, shooting 90% less (thru the pistol)
I have 2 .357 magnums ruger gp100 and a taurus 605 , how many rds do u recommend I should get for them 2 handguns?
It depends if they are your go to defensive and handguns if so 1k minimum then up it
15 (30rd magazines) of 5.56 or .223. My 40cal and 9mm stockpile could buy a small house(Sub-2000 in 40cal and Sub-2000 in 9mm)
My Ruger 10/22 is the breakdown model.
Hunting Rifle is 308.
Home Defense PANZER AR-12(3 10rd magazines)
ALWAYS HAVE WATER FILTRATION FOLKS, even if it's just a brita.
When you think you have enough, it's not enough. Keep Stocking ammo.
You can’t be more correct
How much ammo can your gun handle before failing? That's how much ammo you need.
Well then just around 12k give or take 🤷🏼♂️
@@FrontClipz that's how we think in Australia anyway 👍
38 special/ 357 magnum and 12 gauge
Definitely good rounds 🤙
Randall Claude Weaver (January 3, 1948 - May 11, 2022) was an American survivalist and self-proclaimed white separatist. He was a central actor in the 1992 Ruby Ridge standoff with federal agents at his cabin near Naples, Idaho, during which his wife and son were killed.
Dont forget irons and Scope batteries!!!
Most scopes don’t need batteries due to the etched reticle
@@FrontClipz I have some red dots i guess i would like to work if needed.
ammo stockpiles are for people that bunker down not if your going to bug out.
What if all I have is a pocket knife, a BB gun and a sling shot with plenty of rocks?
That’s right , travel light freeze at night…
Never said to not bring the essential items stated don’t wear your pack down with ammunition 👍
👍🏾
smart guy. just like me!
1000 rounds! U must plan on being posted in your underground base, because ain’t no way you carrying 1000s of rounds.
mentioned that part towards the end 🤙
I have the components needed to reload 12,000 rds of 9mm ( I cast the bullets from scrap lead) 3000 rds of 223 and I have 15k rds of 22lr. I"m ok for practicing until the US falls-apart (ie, 3 years or less). this is 2024. You'll see.
I understand the trying to conserve ammo and save money but shooting a .22 to replace a 556 is not good practice there completely different animals that’s in my opinion not good practice
It’s for manipulating the weapon platform not for recoil replication necessarily it’s still better than practicing zero marksmanship but obviously I would not train somebody on an Ar15 by only shooting 22lr
a 556 IS a 22
@@billydodd8457 no even close
@@benjaminsherman3192 it actually is .223 is a .22 caliber
Who is this guy really ... "The weapons systems that you own".
Would you like to further elaborate?
Yeah, meaning what firearm platform you use or comfortable with. So what's your question?
How many rounds should you store? Count the number of videos you can find on the subject and that is probably about the right number of rounds! 😁
I’m not stocking shit, I’m just gonna wait for all the idiots to bring it me for “bartering”.
Good luck 👍
I wouldn’t trust a soul to barter with in this scenario
Lol
You all need to stop buying cheap fmj and buy defensive more expensive ammunition.
Not everyone is a millionaire, go ask anyone who’s been combat how well FMJ worked on insurgents. Shot placement matters more than the type of bullet you’re using. You can just say you wanna sound like a tough guy without saying it.
Sure buy all the expensive ammo you want, store thousands of rounds, have all kinds firearms & gear/accessories, & tons of supplies blah, blah, blah. None of it will do you a bit of good when some clown who looks harmless in a tank top & flip-flops walks up behind you when you're not paying attention & puts one in the back of your head & takes all of your stuff. LMAO
Hilarious.....what's your resume?😂😂😂
