      Hello do you still sell parts for quadrajet carburetors.
      The brass tubes in the air horn? All 4 pieces?
      Also the needle and seat, the seat that has the half moon or windowed hole & the bottom?
      That's it for starters I'll send a carburetor # tomorrow.
      Thanks, George

    I appreciate the very complete kit and this video. What if you see one tiny pin hole of light at back of carb when you check base gasket with flashlight? Edit, the optional secondary well sponge was keeping it from sealing, a little more english was required.

    I have a 7045583 and after installing the base throttle plate I can see some light after tightening with a new gasket. Any tips on what I should do to correct it? I can see light on the choke side near the secondary shaft. Iused a straight edge on the main body near that area and measured it with a feeler gauge and it is out about .012

    You should do a rebuild of an electronically controlled Dual-Jet along with a crash course on how the various components/sensors work….yea I know, everyone says “they’re the same exact thing as the quadrajet just without the secondaries”…..except THEY’RE NOT!!!

    I have a question, I had always played with these for many years and learned alot... But Ive been watching your videos to learn more, and humbled myself many times to make sure my next build was about as good as it could be, lol.. question is.. I have a 1/2 pickup (85 K10) came with a M4MED with the "dual-capacity pump"... There is now a fresh engine (350; well, 355 actually).. and it's running on a '78 quad from?? Idk.. but it doesn't run as well as it should.. I know it can be fixed.. but I have another carb identical to the one that came with it.. and I know they only made those a few years, but I do know it came from either a 305 or a 350, my motor has had only 5 upgrades when built TRW 0.030 over flat-tops, high volume oil pump, a classic 224 cam with a 112Lsa turned by a double-roller.. that's it.. and I was told by my dad (had the engine 38yrs that the guy that built it said it produced about 252hp on a Holley spreadbore with 74jets.. so I know two other people with vehicles and similar compression & cam.. and the truck carbs like those seem to already be almost perfect until you go with a tighter love separation (loses vacuum).. I noticed even the one I have runs a bit rich and gets better mpg at 2900-3000rpm than right around 2000 where you think it would🤔.. and I know that with 10-15% ethanol, what used to be a hair rich might almost be perfect.. and the truck carbs seem not to make not a bit of cam🤷.. so should I build and use that carb? & If I do should I leave the jets alone and just focus on APT adjustment since they seem to work very well with setups like mine (atleast what I've seen twice already).. bc whatever mine came from, it doesn't jive with my build, the Holley would pull a truck that weighed well over 5000lbs and could spin it around if you cracked on it in 2nd and break loose in 3rd.. now it's on a th350 and barely barks in 1st😔 (and no, I'm not hard on it, it's just disappointing knowing how it ran before, and now it's maybe 170hp at best it feels).. and it could be 250+..what should I do if I decide to go back with my other M4ME? And be I even slap the top 🎩 n I do wanna turn on that APT about a 1/4-1/2 turn from experience bc it usually gets a bit snappier that way on ones I've worked on with mild builds.. what would you recommend? I know these questions probably make more, but if it's already that close to being correct other than the slightly lower vacuum at idle, and 5more cubes..

    OK I have a basket full of quadrajet parts can you tell me where I can find info on what part goes to which carb. Especially secondary hangers and rods. I have book's but nothing on what I mentioned. Can you help.

    • @QuadrajetPowerLLC
      @QuadrajetPowerLLC  3 года назад

      Hangers were non carb specific. Hangers were assigned during assembly based on the measurements at the time. Secondary rods were assigned based on carb number. It is difficult to reverse look up carb application from manufacturing part numbers stamped, but we will help if we can.

    Is there a plastic bushing that goes on the secondary idle shaft and into the primary choke rod hole that is on the passenger side of carb ?
    Maybe not !?

    • @QuadrajetPowerLLC
      @QuadrajetPowerLLC  2 года назад

      Yes, there is on some. If you have hot air choke you need it to seal or you will have a vacuum leak. Divorced chokes didn’t have a bushing.

    love all the videos- question- your float height of 9/32- is that from the top of the back of the float to the top surface of the main body? and does that value hold true for high performance builds where we've modified the carb?

    • @QuadrajetPowerLLC
      @QuadrajetPowerLLC  2 года назад +1

      Yes. Center of main body to top of float. Can set to 1/4”.

    Define front of the float. Wouldn't that also be the front of the carb? Every Q-jet that I've taken apart (rebuilds & unmolested factory carbs) had the little clip located at the front of the carb opposite of where you showed it being installed.

    • @QuadrajetPowerLLC
      @QuadrajetPowerLLC  2 года назад +1

      If you use the clip, it would go in center of the pivot end, hanging from the power piston side. Do not hook it through holes on the float pivot.
