this is what i am talking about, real world sh*t. Using it like an average joe would use the crap out these things. This channel always been honest and the truth 😊
I believe they can be used in forward, to help bust a seized bolt or nut. Sometimes, if you torque the fastener forward, then reverse again, it helps to break it free.
@@aerialenthusiast7435 stamped markings done wear off the way laser etching does. I have a set of sockets that I can't read anymore because the laser etching wore off.
I would love to see some extractors like that be tested on wheel locks. Most wheel locks have anti theft rings that just spin with traditional spiral fluted extractors. Also maybe use a rim with deeper lug nut opening cause most cars now days have very deep seated lug nuts.
@@mikejensen1473 12 point sockets work pretty well on them too. Hammer one on and it will usually force the theft ring down and then will bite on the face of the lock nut.
Great video. I just bought an extractor set before I seen this set. I hope it works because I do like the +& - sizes. I hope the Mechanic God's favor me to extract these nuts. LoL
Depending on the type. Won't work on all i assume because the smallest size is 19-3/4. Then theres the one with the spinning sleeve common on bmw. I think they'd work for most tho
I have lock nuts that are completely round smooth on the exterior so the key engages on the inside with angled shark tooth shaped teeth. Im afraid wheel thieves would be able to remove them with this. 🥺
Still though I wouldn’t worry to much your average tire thief isn’t to smart I’m sure and they’ll most likely see your car and give up and go to an easy one! I have them too but the same worry crosses my mind a lot my work area isn’t to good!
Not impressed at all I seen the comment section you have a lot of inexperienced talkin loud and saying nothing... All of us technicians whose experience is vast. Knows that 140 foot pounds is nothing for a lug nut you would have to go to approximately 190 ft lb along with extreme rust and corrosion along with being super rounded then see if that product could remove them
If your on the side of the road with fucked up lugnuts and just happen to have this kit and didn't buy proper lugnuts to replace them you deserve to be stranded on the side of the road

Socket manufacturers, STOP laser engraving sockets! Stamped or embossed markings ONLY!
Why is stamped or embossed markings better?

@@Darksider182 ohhh okay I see thanks for the reply mate
The straight design on the flute is for left and right hand threads if I’m not mistaken

A cold chisel and a ball peen hammer will defeat the anti theft rings very quickly

They work both ways for us with some old cars that came with left hand thread wheel studs on one side.
60’s Mopar?!
@@Shoptoolreviews early 60’s Buicks used em too. We had a 62 Buick invicta.with em.
Awesome video.
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching.
I’d like to see how the sockets look like afterwards
Wow! Impressive!! On order !!
Awesome, that's great to hear. Let us know what you think. Thanks for watching.
Great ,,real" test , another must have tool. Thank you
Great to hear. Thanks for watching.
Game changer/time saver!
Was genuinely impressed 👏, need to get me one of those

The price sure jumped up on these after your review!
I would have liked to see a hand test with a breaker bar.
I love gearwrench. They may not be the best but for wrenches and sockets they're my preferred brand.
Start at nine minutes and 15 seconds if you don’t wanna hear him talk for 10 minutes
Im triggered you didn’t use a Milwaulkee gen 2 mid torque!
Let's try to strip out the lugs on this 69 Chevy..... Good thing it worked or... For Sale 69 Chevy--needs three new lug nuts.
Can or could you use these on perfect undamaged bolt without marking?
Nice
Why didn't u show the inside of the sockets after the use
Does this mean if you lose your keyed socket you can use these? If you have some you should try it, it would be a great video!
Depending on the type. Won't work on all i assume because the smallest size is 19-3/4. Then theres the one with the spinning sleeve common on bmw. I think they'd work for most tho
Or if it's left hand thread

Try a rusty bolt.
Lame test...how bout removing theft deterrent lugs?

8 minutes of pure rambling just get on with it
I can’t believe they didn’t even skip a beat with the impact on them!!
You did a great job oh yea you got a thumbs UP .
The forward is for rusted threads where when taking it off you have to go backwards and then forwards to clean out all the crap in the threads.
Or if you have a pre 75 MOPAR or early 60’s BOP GM with reverse thread lug-nuts on one side of the car.
Awesome video! Win a set of these sockets here: ruclips.net/video/fa3tfui449E/видео.html
Looks like you stole those wheels off of Hutch's Torino.
I've always liked GW brand stuff, good products.
The straight flute would also be useful for left handed thread
That is correct, it works well for left-handed thread as well. Thanks for watching.
Very impressive. I'm off to see if they are available over here in the UK.
not much use for european cars as wheel bolts are usually smaller ie Audi wheel nuts are 17mm
Try it on a rusty truck with lug nuts that have been in for more then a year
140ftlbs? I don't think so...
I got that Makita after watching your review. It is a great tool. Use it all the time.
Good choice! Glad to hear you like it. Thanks for watching.

I can testify they work 💪

Not bad!
Wow Tim... I for sure will get it.
Thanks for the video
Can I used them for non extracting just a a regular socket set is it going to damage any of the lug nuts??
No, you will definitely damage the lug nuts if you use these. Thanks for watching.
Are they thin and deep enough for aftermarket rims?
That really depends on which rims. They are not exactly thin, so they may not work on some of the slimmer lugnut orifices. Thanks for watching.
Under 100 views. Woohoo
