A Crue fan since 1983 & Gen Swine is my #1 favorite Crue album. To me, it's the most motley Motley Crue album. Ratty, snotty. The tour was killer & dysfunctional... this whole year of them i loved.
I don’t know what the hell they were trying to do but thank God they went back to their old ways now they’re gone never to be seen on a stage again they should put four stages close together and have their own stage and play together instead on one stage because it says will not be on the same stage ever again doesn’t mean you can’t put four of them together
Yeah. They were so fucking proud of the work they did. They look so happy. So fucking miserably happy, want to hang themselves happy. And so proud of the work that the songs were abandoned in their live shows after the very first tour. They are more ashamed of this record than they are of the Corabi record, or even new tattoo (and that was fucking BAD).
Not quite. They played Glitter on the Red White and Crue Tour and Afraid at their Vegas residency. Not to mention their new version of Shout at the Devil was played live from '97 to the end
Those bands had better musicians and deeper lyrical content on Iron Maiden, AC/DC had the advantage of being well established since the 70s and changed singers, Motley Crue was just doomed to implode once the 90s hit even if Vince never left the band the same result would hace happened, I think the band should have just broke up when Vince left in 1992.
If you've ever been to a Motley Crue concert. The lights that flash Crue power the crowd even more. Like a powerful energy saying its name over and over on a Ouija board.
😮😮😮they eould split one mire time after new tattoo went to seperat progects except for mick they just get along better personally and professionaly if they get a separation they are four very strong alpha oersonalities and cam come to blows
Mick hated that album. the whole "we're going to check our egos at the door" mantra was bullshit. Every time he came up with a riff or a section, the other members would shout him down and tell him it was wrong. I've read in several interviews how it really fucked up his confidence as a guitar player. This album was a POS. It was all the industrial EOD shit that Tommy was into at the time, trying to fit in with the rest of the bands who were successful in the 1990's like Ministry and Nine Inch Nails.
@@benmidgley1419 , I read that somewhere also, and that John Corabi had to sue the producers to have the copyright royalties for his own songs! That's what happens when corporate takes over. The preformers become employees. Really sad when that happens. Look at Irom Maiden and how Bruce Dickinson was pushed out the way he was, not to mention all the other different artists in there came and went!
I was never a big Crue fan until Generation Swine in the 90s. That's when I got it. Listen to Find Myself, Anarchy in the Usa, Porno Star, Sick Love Song, Street Fighting Man... They were always just a punk band that got trapped in the rock band stereotype.
All their nineties songs were poser songs. They were just trying to keep up with the trends. They did that shit in the eighties too but it was less noticeable.
Were always ahead of their time not afraid to use the available technology winging worked to thier advantage spliting was good for them using backtracking for certian things us good like for the dancers you dont want to hear them trying to sing out of breath from dancing
☺ I just watched a motley video previously and comments were turned off. Ween music in your Motley videos 😂 love Ween as well as Motley but lol. That !! Smfh
Yes vince can play guitar but he kinda singer who wants to interact with audiences so he can run there & here. Quite hard though you run there & here while bringing guitar with you..
Compare with John Corabi, he can play guitar but he CAN'T write a song even a bit. That's why got fired. Read more what Nikki told about him on Blubbermouth..
While I don't agree it was the best Crue album, the band's sound was way heavier. His voice lent it itself to their sound and I think the composition was much better. They would've been a much better band if they had stuck with Corabi for sure.
@@thedude9941 Totally agree. The sound with Corabi was deeper because of his additional guitar. The song writing was just as good. The music was far more bluesy and heavier with Corabi's voice. Corabi was a much better singer. You look at those live videos when Vince came back? Dude was hella out of shape, sang like every third or fourth word of the songs and just sounded horrendous. They gained nothing by bringing him back.
Never saw this before very cool, but i have one question, am i the only one that likes this album. I think its one of there heaviest dirtiest rawest rock album "Brandon" didn't need to be on it thoe, that song is embarrassing.
William Cate Rawest? That is the most heavily processed, Pro-tools Frankenstein, artificially constructed rock album of the time. There's a reason Mick hated it and Tommy hated Wharrton.

The tattoo of your lips on his almost crotch is very visible if he's telling the truth he got that tattoo because that's where you kissed him. Lucky lucky you
So awesome watching them lie to the camera about why they got back together and how great it was. They deserved to tank after they fucked Corabi and ran scared back to Wharton to chase Fame and Sales, which failed.
Corabi couldn't sing Mötley or act Mötley! His look his voice, all sucked in my opinion. He belonged with screaming trees, or whatever they called themselves. They're brothers, and family doesn't always get along. Even when they can't stand one another, they still loves one another. Even if it takes something unpleasant, to make them realize that. Corabi was strictly a filler, a filler that didn't get very well. Mötley Crüe, will and forever always will be, Nikki, Vince, Mick, and Tommy, period!! I liked the grunge scene (maybe bcuz I'm from Washington?), But that isn't who the Crüe is.
Beauty and Find Myself were the good ones off this album to me. This album is their worst in my opinion. But I do like some stuff on it I bought it when it came out being a crue fan in general and really liking the Corabi album before it.

This album is honestly great

The 90's weren't kind to the Crue
Wasnt kind to many bands unless you were from Seattle, lol.

Trulysarcastic44 like Nirvana
It was kind up to '91/'92.
This was an underrated record. Also motley self titled with Corabi kicked ass!! So, your pt is shit.

The Motley Crue album with Corabi is one of their best, what is a shame is that people wasn't able to appreciated just because Neil wasn't in the band
Explain to how in the f*ck is new tattoo bad.

I think it would have been more successful if John Corabi stayed on! This album was made for his vocal styles.
