    Gotta love Tommy patting Vince on the shoulder saying that he's glad Vince is back. Of course we know now that Tommy was completely against Vince being back in the band and those two never got along during this era. They're also promoting an album that both Vince and Mick later admitted they couldn't stand. Good to see them anyhow though.

      Vince didnt like it because the entire album was written before he came back...they were already laying down the vocals with John then cut him mid stream and brought Vince back.....then again, Vince never wrote any motley songs to begin with so he has no right to complain.

      Generation Swine album was a total waste of time listening to because really no good songs on it. Too Fast For Love and Shout At The Devil were the bands best albums in a lot fans eyes. Mick and Vince, Nikki are best members in the band. Tommy Lee is a bonehead in my opinion(but sure others will disagree) and that is fine. Mick Mars guitar riffs make every song the band produced. He is the true genius.

      @markherring3513 2 года назад +7

      Double fun fact: And the band hated him being back in it...Vince being back was 100% a record company decision the band had no control over. The record company was NOT backing another Crue album unless Vince was the singer..it was the only way they could hope to make a dime back in the middle of the grunge/industrial rock era.

    • @SUSHI4lyf
      @SUSHI4lyf 2 года назад

      @@markherring3513 Pardon my cluelessness. Not everyone's a fan. But could you tell me why Vince was crucial for the Crüe in the grunge era? Also, why did Vince have no choice but to return?

    • @markherring3513
      @markherring3513 2 года назад

      @@SUSHI4lyf Because around this time, when grunge and “industrial metal” was the newest trend, hair bands from the 80’s, all of the sudden, couldnt get arrested. Grunge destroyed the hair metal/rock scene literally over night (no lie..it was over night) and those bands were being dropped left and right by the record companies and signing up grunge and industrial metal acts. 99% of the hair/rock bands broke up..no one was buying tickets or the albums from those bands and Motley was HUGE in the 80’s…easily in top 5 of hair band/rock acts in the 80’s . They generated A LOT of money for the record companies and they huge enough rolling into the 90’s to BARELY hold on when grunge hit…im talking holding on BARELY by a thread all because they were mega in the 80’s. Vince was fired RIGHT BEFORE grunge hit….they hired the new guy and recorded and released a new album while grunge was taking over and by the time the album released, grunge was in full swing and NO ONE was buying 80’s rock bands tickets or albums, unless it was guns n roses or metallica, those two were so huge, like beyond huge, so they were able to weather to storm…i guess you could put van halen in there too…they survived the storm because they were no longer a hair band by this time (some can argue they were never a hair band to begin with and id agree) and had Edward van halen who is God-like in any genre…so Edward just being who he was kept Van Halen afloat in that time….so Motley was just barely huge enough that their fan base still kinda cared (a little) and being the new singer album failed miserably and grunge took over, the only way to get the band back on peoples minds and get noticed again was to bring Vince back because it was a big deal when he got fired. Plus the record company pretty much told them, bring Vince back if you want us to throw money behind the band so the ONLY solution was to reunite with Vince…the band hated the idea because they didnt like Vince at all anymore but if Motley was to survive at that time, in the middle of grunge, it had to happen. So kicking and screaming, while pinching their nose and swallowing their pride, they took Vince back and it did nothing for the bands fortunes because that next album they did with Vince tanked even more and grunge was even in more full swing. It did get Motley in the news for a minute but the album sucked and songs were forgetful. A lot of reason is because they pretty much wrote the album with the other singer and during this time is when the singer gets let go and Vince brought in and Vince had to sing all the other singers vocals in his style and it just didnt work. The songs were written for John’s style of singing, not Vince’s. The album was completed by the time the singers swap took place. They erased John’s vocals and Vince walked in and sang the lyrics. And Vince had no choice to get back with Motley because he was nothing without Motley Crue…when he got fired he released two solo albums and they tanked… vince is NOT a song writer. Nikki is the main song writer and mick and tommy also write but Nikki is the main writer. Motley and Vince is a parasitic relationship…they needed each other to survive.
