I love the Crue, but only from 82-91. Anything after that has been average. If they'd died in a plane crash after Dr Feelgood they'd be heralded like the Sex Pistols or The Who.
They really missed an opportunity in 1997 with their comeback. Nikki and Tommy had a complete miscalculation with Generation Swine. Attn from Regis, Stern, the AMAs - This was their last chance to be relevant and influence modern culture again (rather than just nostalgia). A shame, I wish they had succeeded. Maybe the late ‘90s would’ve been a little less lousy as far as music goes.

Attn from Regis, Stern, the AMAs - This was their last chance to be relevant and influence modern culture again (rather than just nostalgia). A shame, I wish they had succeeded.
