As someone who's seen a close family member lose their mind much like this, the video series really made an impact on me. This one is really beautiful, but at the same time there's a sadness to it that made me tear up a bit. It's hitting all the right nerves. This is just true art. Amazing.
A song about how it's never too late to have self-compassion, about finally coming to terms with your past after so much suffering, of finally loving oneself, and seeing the light - that you truly feel loved, specifically, that this kindness with which you finally find peace comes from you. Yet, at the same time, it's not a solo achievement. It takes an "ensemble" of people to guide you in this journey. Others help you along the way, the path of healing. Let this video serve to remind ourselves to "worship" our lives, to adore and exalt the goodness within us, not backing down when faced with losses and injuries of battle. May you remain this resilient warrior til your very last breath!
I think the order of the videos is Words, One, Do You Remember, and lastly, Worship. That's the way it's written on the young mans arm in the first video, anyway. I think it's simply about dying. The sheet of music with him in the end are all his thoughts, words, and memories.
I thought it was the sweetest thing when the younger version of the old man kissed him on his forehead. Then I almost cried at the look on the old man's face when he realized his younger form had disappeared. :(
Lyrics - You never worship, you never worship your life. You never worship, you never worship your life. You never worship, you never worship your life. You never worship, you never worship your life. You never worship, you never worship your life. You never worship, you never worship your life. All the while you're standing still, you all reach in the past. You won't let the good times in, if you do, you make sure they won't last. Can't you see the lights they're shining to lead you back again? My heartbeats can be a silver lining, just listen well to them. You never worship, you never worship your life. You never worship, you never worship your life. Never worship your life. All the while you're standing still, you all reach in the past. You won't let the good times in, if you do you make sure they won't last. Can't you see the lights they're shining to lead you back again? My heartbeats can be a silver lining, just listen well to them. They will worship, they will worship your life. They will worship, they will worship your life. They will worship, they will worship your life. They will worship, they will worship your life. They will worship your life.
Acting at is finest. Sometimes viedos are a real peace of art like this one. Even if I am not a real fan of the song, combined with the images it touches someting inside of me and moves me profoundly.
We have to make amends with our life before we can go on to the next great adventure. I see it as a story about a man who was just stuck and the people who helped him get past the obstacles that come with death.
This whole series of videos, "One"... it fills me with an indescribable sadness. On the verge of tears, but there's something about that doesn't let me cry. It's a heavy weight in my chest I just can't entirely figure out.
This 4-piece is wonderfully put. As I see it, this is a young man suffering from schizophrenia and the videos portray colorfully his delusions and voices that he may hear, as well as seeing another version of himself as old. That's how I see it. Either way I loved the videos!
I don't understand the video's either but can we please just listen to how beautifull this is and you can't deny that he combinantion of he video and the music gives you a kind of feeling. Just enjoy...
I agree 100%. Maybe it's because it was so slow and I was trying to watch it at one in the morning, but I felt like I was trying to get the point and just couldn't grasp why I was wasting my time. Visually it's a feast, story-wise it's a famine. Now I have to watch something better or I'll trip out in my dreams!
You never worship, you never worship your life. You never worship, you never worship your life. You never worship, you never worship your life. You never worship, you never worship your life. You never worship, you never worship your life. You never worship, you never worship your life. All the while you're standing still, you all reach in the past. awesome that scene with the kiss & the gulls...kinda bizarr, i like that stuff and i like the music and the wonderful voice from Ane Brun ! Ty 4sharing )
Part1 i see a young writer so indulged in writing nonstop until his writings come to life he rests to sleep,Part2 his illusions come to life more as he gets older, and prepare him the perfect charade inspired from his dreams,Part3 the thin line between illusion &reality is not visible anymore as the characters he created in his mind start living with him,Part4 his illusions cause his death as he turns mad, even his death was perfect to him cause he would see everything with his mind not his eyes.
I'm pretty sure it speaks to the evils o holding onto nostalgia of war and one's younger self. If anything the only medicine part of it is when his closest friends and family send him off to the afterlife.
Rick Deckard I'm pretty sure you're just going off this music video and not the lyrics of this song or the lyrics 3 songs before it that are important for the sequence of the story being told instead o fa stupid fucking propaganda agenda about the evils of socialized medicine.
He was in love. And a compulsive control freak. She couldn't be controlled needed "the windows uncovered" and the freedom to reach for stars and to put love first. She worshipped life freely. He commanded it. He loses her-pushes her away and goes mad. He writes of their life and never lives past the dreams, words and fantasy and in the end-- the delusions. She tries to say the point of it all was love. Only real and uncontrollable love. She can't save him and moves on worshipping life.
I think this man had something to do with a war, because there are a lot of veterans in army uniforms in the procession and at one point his young version also wears a uniform. Maybe a revolution (in "One" "revolution starts with dreams") But I think at some point he became desillusional, which may have drove him mad.
You never worship Never worship your life You never worship You never worship your life You never worship You never worship your life You never worship You never worship your life You never worship (Never worship) You never worship your life (Never worship your life) You never worship (Never worship) You never worship your life (Never worship your life) All the while you're standing still, you all reach in the past You won't let the good times in, if you do, you make sure they won't last Can't you see the lights they're shining to lead you back again? Hold on people...I think this is about a writer, an author, whose own characters rebel against him, against the 'god' of their world. All the various people are very stuck in their roles and want to be free of his ability to control their lives with his every written word (set up in 'prologue').....or he IS mad and IMAGINES his own characters coming back to seek revenge...and their freedom
And the people in the procession help him with letting go off life and dying (like some people already suggested), you see they have to keep him alive artificially. And then they discard him in a trashbin filled with old compositions. Ideas thrown away, like his ideas of revolution. But, oh well, that's just what I read in it.
Utter nonsense. Its more a visual mix n match than a story or short film. The procession reminded me a hallucination when i was drugged..and sleepwalking.
Before i was a Christian i adore this song, but now i am a Christian, this video is really sick and i see that Ana Brun, masked one eye, so..she sell her soul! It makes mi sad, JC is our own savior!!
Neflix The Society led me here and I'm so thankful for it ❤️
Lol me too....I was like I kinda think I like that weird song. Also a great show.
Haha I am not the only one xD
Never heard of the society but good! And brun has amazing music and so does Jose Gonzalez. And may I suggest madrugada as well.
Really wish that session didn’t get canceled. Such a good show. Amazing cast of actors. 🤩
Me too

in a way or another it shows that ones passion might be limitless and ones passion might be his poison .
In the end I was crying.. after all 4 videos I just have to.. so sad, so beautiful..

My good taste in music brought me here
Her voice dances very well with the music.!! Incredible 🔉

I met JoseGonzalez because of Zero 7. I heard this song on TV show "The Society" and I went to look for it! This was a beautiful duet!
this videos all have magical and making-people-think atmosphere of dramas of Tadeusz Kantor. and it's compliment.

awesome that scene with the kiss & the gulls...kinda bizarr, i like that stuff and i like the music and the wonderful voice from Ane Brun !
Ty 4sharing )
I quite like your interpretation of the story and its parts. It really does seem to explain what is happening.
Saddening yet so beautiful.
One of my favorites ❤️
Hi there from Singapore! Wish you'd have a blessed week =)
all these videos remind me of the movie Jacob's Ladder in a strange way...Lovely lovely music :)
I'm here from The Society on Netflix. Had to come after hearing this joint.
Mexico te espera Ane !
beautiful song.
Amazing song.
this really speaks to the evils of socialized medicine - bravo, Ane
I'm pretty sure it speaks to the evils o holding onto nostalgia of war and one's younger self. If anything the only medicine part of it is when his closest friends and family send him off to the afterlife.
Jason Zabbidou I'm pretty sure it's actually what i said, but if you need to project your own pathologies, go right ahead.
Rick Deckard I'm pretty sure you're just going off this music video and not the lyrics of this song or the lyrics 3 songs before it that are important for the sequence of the story being told instead o fa stupid fucking propaganda agenda about the evils of socialized medicine.
ANE ojala algun dia llegues a ARGENTINA! ♥
They will worship JAH ❤

Yes!
Wow! That was fantastic! The ending was not that great, but oh man, this is one beautiful short film.
arte. Musica e immagini...

Poetic.
What do they mean with "never worship your life"? Greetings from the Netherlands!
Hold on people...I think this is about a writer, an author, whose own characters rebel against him, against the 'god' of their world. I like this interpretation. Thought provoking.
I came from the society❤
Watch " words" then " do you remember" then this, it will make A LOT MORE SENSE and its actually pretty creepy to me
Don't forget "One", which comes after "Words" and before "Do You Remember".
#TheSociety anyone?
yasssss
for me, video it's too scary, but I love music!
❤️🙏🔥😘

Hi Stana!
Netflix "The society" brought me here too..
there's no need for explanations....just make your own interpretation and like it or hate it.
oh so many questions
J y crois pas, me fait penser à la fin 70 début 80... Je m'y crois. Un supson de JJ cale par ex , trop 😎l
And the people in the procession help him with letting go off life and dying (like some people already suggested), you see they have to keep him alive artificially. What are parts 1 and 2?
i don't get the videoooss..
I found it odd that it looks as if he is set up to a primitive form of Lethal Injection
pretty music i jus didnt get it
i don't think you and i just watched the same video....
why is she singing devil worship at the end?
Emīls I think she's saying "They will worship"
was he meant to be a dictator. I don't really get it. I watched them all.
I thought it said *you never were shit*
uhh wtf?? is it just me or did this story line not make any since??
The syringes reminds me of drugs. Like hallucinogens.
Like the song but dislike the video.
