Though "Do You Remember" is the first chapter released from a short film based to music from Ane's forthcoming album "It all starts with One", it is the third chapter in the film that houses no fewer than four orchestrated songs to be premiered in autumn 2011.
The Director for the whole project Magnus Renfors, says of the venture:
"Ane's music is like a great ocean housed under the roof of a great old theater, where pictures are hung from the threads of the music shooting out, so it really does the job itself. That said, the images require a certain height and a substantively dramatic level, otherwise the music, sometimes so sublime and skin tingling, can rush over the head of the visual aspects. Ane and I have done stuff together since 2003 and already on the last album we talked about doing something bigger, more coherent, and this time it was really the one. "
"ONE", as the film is called, is a poetic tapestry incorporating various threads interwoven on several levels, integrating and complimenting Ane's delicately composed branches between hope, rage and grief.
A heavy period of post-production is now rolling with the other chapters before the film is fully released in the fall.
The film is produced by Hobby Film Stockholm in cooperation with, among others, Riviera Post Production and Sound & Image Media, with the theatre giant Iwar Wiklander appearing as the main character.

You realize how good and musical she is. There is no melody whatsoever just a rythm section and she does the melody over it. Such musicality, what a great voice

The guitars are low in the mix there’s definitely a melody there.
I mean there's 100% guitars and a bass line. Sure her voice does most of the work but there are entirely instruments.
It's a complex melody. Voice, percussion, I think I hear a flute and/or a synth in there. Brilliant really.
It's such a shock to see the work of actual artists, in fact, artistic geniuses making music and videos. It makes me suddenly realize how much is missing from most pop culture and art.
That's what makes them real artist, they are not commercial, they are not doing stuff for the money, and what's what pop is about, or that's what story says about the pop culture

This is not a sad story. It's celebrating life. We are mortal and death is the only way out. Ane showed us that the end will be glorious as we recall all the wonders experienced thru love.

Man, 4 years later and this song is still one of the best music video on RUclips. If the music industry had any eardrums left for good music this video would be at 50 million+ views by now.
it's not that people don't have to ears for good music it's more of people don't all have the same taste. now while this may be good music, it's a unique taste not everyone will like

John Martin I 100% that agree people have different taste and may not like this or any of her other songs but I also dont think a lot of people may have heard the song either. The way radio and the music industry in general is structured, if you haven't had a hit song out before then getting a song played on the radio is very difficult. Also the US doesnt seem to want to play a lot of non US artist which also makes it difficult. Just think if this song had been heard on any other medium except just RUclips it might have done better.

I heard it, didn't know what to think and then left the page...within 5 minutes I was back to listen again...it is just so compelling and unique.
This song and this video gives me shiver. It is great, sad, thrilling - just everything. this is a piece of true art. It reminds me of war flashbacks and kind of war traumata. Someone mentioned already the representation of someone suffering from Alzheimer's. This could be true as well. Maybe it's all together. This is just astonishing well done.

There is always something edgy about Scandinavian music and the artists and Ane Brun is no exception; she is equally comfortable singing this song, as she is my favourite, 'Horizons.' Just love her music.
It's amazing how she evokes all Bergman movies in a very light way in her music, even involuntarily, in my opinion. One of the most talented musicians of her generation and so underrated! So many hipster female artists being praised out there with intricated music to desguise the lack of depth in their work...such a shame something so profound as her work is so overlooked.

There is a certain pathos that some music videos extort from our souls, they leave you feeling something, and you're not sure what it is. That's the beauty of it really, the emotions that get let out. This is one of those videos, I've probably watched it a hundred times or more, and there are no diminishing laws of return. The sound of her voice, the romantically haunting lyrics are the perfect favor for such a cinematographicall back drop. You can read into what you please about the storyline, my interpretation changes each time. Thank you Ane for creating something, and for being so beautiful.

The more I listen to this song - the more I enjoy it: but for me the underlying theme of loss, is not of a current lover or partner leaving physically - rather an older lover/partner/husband slipping away due to dementia. It makes the song even stronger.

I didn't know this singer until I saw her live concert in Malmo, Sweden, last week. Wonderful!!!
OK, probably my favorite music video ever. My take on the song is about a person in a relationship realizing that they have already lost their partner… “The last time for first position the last time you’ll be mine”. The old veteran is tied up to the bed helpless, vulnerable (the opposite of what you would expect from a soldier) symbolizing someone in a relationship finally realizing they in fact have lost their partner before they are actually gone. The song is somehow upbeat yet sad at the same time.

that's what it's written about but that's the beautiful thing about good music is everyone hears something different. For me right now it's reminding me of a relationship i just got out of that has an uncanny resemblance time-line wise. Towards the end it was like we were trying to force it to work then it was just an abrupt ending when i cut it off. Kinda makes me want to cry hearing this song but at the same time I don't want to stop listening to it.
