Thank you man
Looking good man! I will be doing this next year.
Thanks brother. Its a great upgrade. You'll love it
I cannot stop thinking about this TURBO HYBRID! I just turned 65000miles on my Giulia and i had to get my wastegate linkage reinforced to eliminate all the play.. car is running great now! no CHECK ENGINE LIGHT and instand throttle response!

Thank you brother

@@bhvrdr question my friend, is the Wastegate LINKAGE on the HYBRID TURBO you have stronger than the OE?
The reason I ask is I respect your opinion and I wanted to also know if you have your OE TURBO and if you wanna sell it?
@@gennaromontagna9482 hey there. Its an OEM wastegate. Be very careful of aftermarket wastegates. They are usually weakly welded and actually fail easier than even OEM. I believe i have stock turbo with 8k miles or so on it but it would probably be 80 bucks just to ship. You can dm me on giuliaforums if youd like
God damn, those RPM's are moving.
Great run. I been looking into the hybrid turbos I have a 2018 with euro compulsions power package and I’m stage 2 right now. Which hybrid turbo did u buy and do you know how much whp you have with it now after getting your car tuned with it ?
I bought the 400hp gottuned one. Its the one to get. It gives about 70hp over a maxed out stock turbo.

The Qv does the 1/4 mile at 11.9 in ideal conditions.
Getting low 12's in this with seemingly minimal effort is actually quite insane.
I was happy it was with pretty minimal effort too.
Have you ever upgraded a turbocharger system, including supporting mods?
@@bhvrdris this car still working? Any issue on this power level? Thanks 😊
WOW! Great car and work! How many torque ? Does the gearbox suffer?
Thanks so much. Around the same. 390 or so. It actually ramps up a bit more progressive than the stock turbo so a tad bit kinder to the gearbox than a tuned stock turbo. Zf8 seems very strong so far. Not a hint of odd shifting behavior
cant wait to my my downpipe in i have a Q2
2020 giulia with a muffler delete and intake as of right now she feels faster without the muffler and sounds so good hopefully with a downpipe and tune ill get in the low 4s 0-60 and 12 for quater mile
Testpipe doesn't do much of anything for gains :(. If you can get to 12.8 or so on stock turbo and 106mph on a q2 thats about as good as she will do whethercstock exhaust or testpipe.
Wow!
😉👍
I want that turbo 😭😭 (Thays Impossible for me now). Put more videos, make videos with your friends cars.
I do ask myself how this setup would go on a Stelvio?
I think the fact that it only revs to 7k is a big reason why it’s so fast. It’s short shifting itself until about third
Unfortunately the 2.0l redline is at a measly 5800rpm
@@bhvrdr so I’d have to build engine prob change rods and do some rpm tuning to juice it. Slightly disappointing. I’m planning on picking up a 2018-2019 soon so I appreciate the work you’re doing here
@@Theowannamaker youd have to get rid of the multiair brick. Its not a traditional intake cam. Id say the 390 to 400hp range is the sweet spot you can get to for just a few grand but if you want 500hp it could be a very very long expensive and painful process
@@bhvrdr there are tuners in Greece (SLP comes to mind) that have been tuning 1.4L Multiair Fiats and Alfas with well over 300hp on stock engine internals. So if there is a way to change the valve lift and duration, raising the rev limiter to 7k RPM won't be an issue. Of course a bigger turbo might be needed, as well as a more efficient exhaust manifold for such high RPMs but it's definitely doable.
Just bought a dragy for my AWD guilia 2.0 with same mods as you besides the hybrid turbo. Will post results when I get it
2022*
Awesome be safe have fun
Unfortunately RUclips doesn’t let me easily post pics or vid, but after only a couple tries I got 4.45 0-60 and 12.86 quarter mile. I’ll have to go out later at night because im pretty sure on my quarter mile run I had to hit my brakes at the very end. Will do more runs later. Think AWD with your mods will be QV launch levels
And just a reminder, I have same mods as u besides hybrid turbo. Thing seemed like wayyyy too much work to install
Soo what else i need to make this possible? Hybrid turbo n what else?
are you running stock fuel pump? or fuel pump is big enough? and engine is still runninh good after that much hp?
Yes absolutely no problem with fuel system keeping up.
Awesome! What about computer? Did you have to remap it or just do the turbo swap and once it reads more boost, it will automatically added more fuel to it? Did you have more lags in low end than factory turbo? Thanks!!
@@kenneykole I use jb4 to
get more boost and the car uses a wideband o2 sensor to add the appropriate fuel. Easy peasy. The lag is minimal. Its now very nice and linear powerband
Awesome man if you were live closer I would take my car to you and do the job :-)
Very impressive, original engine and gearbox? How much power(hp) does the vehicle heve? What is the cost the turbo ... Thank you
Yes original engine and gearbox. Around 395hp to 405hp depending on boost. Turbo is $2300 usd

Bro are there any other upgrades we can buy to add even more HP? I got the air intake, tuner and hybrid turbo now I was thinking exhaust next?
A testpipe may give you 5hp. Thats it. Not worth it for me.
How much hp are you at?
28psi with a stock engine? That's impressive!
I tried 32psi too and the engine had no issue but the turbo didn't like it lol

400hp crank. Do you mean top speed limiter? Thats done with tuning. I cant hot 150mph on our race track so doesn't matter to me
@@bhvrdr oh ok. i just want to know with a tune and dp if it would go past 150 because the squadra says the top speed goes up to 167. i also want to know what tuner is best for the alfa like jb4, eurocapoultion, or squarda
You have to look at what the tuner does. Some tuners remove the limiter. Some put it a bit higher like to 167. Some don't touch it. Youd need custom tune for hybrid turbo. You cant use eurocompulsion or squadra tune thats for stock turbo. No need for downpipe.
@@bhvrdr oh well i already have the downpipe waiting rn for it to be put in will it make it faster with downpipe and tune rather then just the tune?

I think Giulia already has hybrid turbo as stock. Is this turbo bigger?
Could this damage engine on long-term use?
Hybrid turbo means we took stock turbo and added larger compressor and turbine wheels:)
How has this setup been after a year? Really interested to see how robust the GME t4 engines are.
The engines are great. The turbos have weak wastegates and of course you can only push them so far. 31 psi is going to blow the turbo. Keep it in the 27-28 range and you'll be golden
@@bhvrdr Thanks, I just got a 2019 Q4 and love it. Unfortunately it really needs another 100hp to be perfect. I'm also spoiled with the power my STI and Z put down. 😂
On a drag strip with a 1.7 60ft plus dialing in the turbo a hair more i dont see why a 11.99 wouldnt be possible. Congrats
Thank man. Yeah with awd it could touch 11
Bro pls do a explaining video exactly how to do this I have a 2022 and don’t even know how to get rid of traction controll
In order to turn off traction control on the 2.0 you need to install a race mode selector from a Quadrifoglio. There are a few good install videos on RUclips for how to do it.
wow since you actually have figured out how to launch these, it looks about as quick or quicker to 100mph than most of the quadrifoglio videos on here? >.
Hehe the quads are no fun to launch. I wouldn't want to race one from a roll though 😉
Top speed 300 kmh????
Are you guys still working it out or going to use a different tune .
Jb4 is working best. Completely invisible and faster than all the custom tunes right now
How is your Giulia after 12 months? Is everything ok with engine and powertrain?
Yes i have one since 3 years and all is ok
@@samuelrosso3208 i mean is everything ok with @bhvrdr giulia after modifications
Have you ever got any trouble after doing this install? Does it support the eurocompulsion tune ? Thanks
Turbo is fine to 26 psi but if you try and run 30psi it will blow as will any hybrid. Euro compulsion does not have a hybrid turbo tune for this i am aware of
@@bhvrdr so just with the turbo install and a jb4 you are able to get does number ? Any other mods to support that?
@@mzmasterzz zero other mods. Exhaust and intake only give about 5hp so not worth it to me
@@bhvrdr sorry for all those question? Any issue regarding engine reliability?
@@mzmasterzz no the engine is fine on these cars. It can probably take a significantly larger turbo than these.
Theres huge error on speedometer, says 118 mph 12.45 sec. So something is off here.
Nope it's not until the 39 second mark that it says 118mph. This is a verified dragy run. Dragy is as accurate as vbox. Obviously you wouldn't want to rely on stopwatch lol.
how much hp did you make with just the jb4 tune no turbos. And what tires do u have.
Same as every tune out there. Around 320chp-330chp. That's turbo limited. With just jb4 and stock turbo i was able to trap up to 107mph in perfect weather. Thats stock turbo record for any tune including those people running testpipes. In that perfect weather this turbo would likely trap about 113-114mph or 70hp increase over a maxed out stock turbo.
Tires now are Bridgestone potenza sport. On stock turbo i had Michelin ps4s.
Both good 300 treadwear summer tires but if course id need dr2 to get anywhere near the 60 foots of awd cars
@@bhvrdr i want to get the jb4 tune for mine i have a 2020 ti sport. i wanna know what map u used to run a 4.4 0-60 that crazy a whole second off
@@Shortyzworldtv i use map 2 for that. Map 1 is only 5hp less so either one will get good improvement. I have made custom maps for higher low end torque but theyre not any faster because full speed acceleration stays in the upper rev range.

It transforms the powerband. Its a great upgrade. Just don't expect 450hp.
@@bhvrdr yeah not expecting that at all! Are you still running with jb4? That’s what I have currently
@@ernsgarage4621 jb4 is the best method for now because its completely adjustable.
@@bhvrdr nice glad to hear that. Those 1/4 mile times are really impressive. I’m not into drag racing much just want abit more out of it and it’d be perfect. Have you raced other cars in a straight set up this way?

How many hours work is it to change the turbo?
The first time....like 10 hours. The second time is always half ;)
Is this RWD or AWD?
Its rwd so im stuck launching at low rpm or I'll just spin
I just put in the turbo. Map 1 and 2 are good?
If you put in a hybrid turbo you cannot run a flash tune or piggyback settings that are for the stock turbo. Youll need to program map 6 for the hybrid. PM me on giuliaforums and ill send you the settings
@bhvrdr What is the cost of doing Giulia 2.0 for about 400KM. I will be grateful for the information.
All I did was add the turbo for 2k USD and the jb4 for 600 USD. That's it.
I actually see the video clock it at a 3.55 0-60!
yeah the speedos in italians are usually optimistic, gps speed is usually from -5 to -10km/h
Who tuned?
400hp in stock internals?
Yes no issues at all with engine cor all the people running hybrids. The torque spike us actually less brutal than stock turbo that spikes down low then tapers too much.
Such a shame the red line on these 2.0's is so low tbh. That ZF transmission is pretty good at doing its job though I will say.
Good point. It wou6 be nice to be able to rev it out further
