- What's up, people! I'm back with another Talk Talk reaction from their 1986 album The Colour of Spring (1986), and this time we listen to "April 5th." I wasn't aware of any specific significance for the date beforehand, and I couldn't piece together the lyrics clearly, but this is another amazing tune from a sonically rich (if slightly surprising) album. So join me as we get the Talk Talk deep-dive going again. Cheers!
Also I run a Patreon featuring some extra content of different types, so anyone interested in supporting what we do on this channel through donation and getting access to reactions blocked on RUclips, behind-the-scenes videos, video-reactions, and blooper-reels from my videos can go here: / shnootz

Hi Matt, April 5th was his wife's birthday
I’m thoroughly enjoying your first listen to one of my top 5 albums of all time.
Nice! I never heard of them before I started doing reactions, as they were brought to my attention by friends of the channel. But loving their stuff, Mark's voice is incredible and the production is so impressive.
This is among my favorite songs by anyone. Perfect to my ears.
So glad you've snapped out of your festive mode and come back to 'proper music'. 🙂 This is a gorgeous song and April 5th is of course Agnetha's birthday though I doubt that'll have had anything to do with this song, and how sad am I for still knowing this after so many decades....
Not sure of any specific significance to the date, other than its relation to early-Spring and the Springtime imagery articulated in the lyrics. It’s a lovely song, which in my opinion is reflective of a peaceful spring morning. Again, this gentle track allows the individual instrument and percussive elements a bit of spotlight. It’s also a breather between the faster more rhythmic tracks on the album. Lovely!
