Brilliant! Stephen Merchant, you can be such a git but you are so so funny. I refer as example to....... 'Answers on a postard', as a response to Karl not leaving the hotel on fire. His occasional one liners are fantastically funny and so well timed.

I appreciate you getting all these clips! I just wish the levels were the same(ish) on all the clips. Some of the clips you can barely hear Karl. Can't fall asleep to these, in fear that I'll be brutally woken up by Ricky's cackle.

the reason is, i think because it looked like it could have been a new tv program, at first glance i thought "ok xfm" then i second guessed cos it seemed so perfect and then i remembered the idiot abroad thing. if your wondering how i missed the time at the bottom i thought it was muinuts.

See it does make me wonder sometimes how genuine it all is ...that first story about looking out the window an showing a bit of ass cheek got said again and ricky an steve reacted like they had never heard the story before ....there's quite a few duplicate stories like that.
Heard a couple stories like that. I wouldn’t mind so much if Ricky hadn’t sworn in an interview once that these aren’t “bits”. He claims they were all natural unrehearsed conversations. Which obviously isn’t true.
Well they probably just reused bits from the xfm show for the podcast. The podcast has a lot of bits that can be heard in the original xfm radio shows

Can somebody explain a thing called ricky gervais show (the animated series)? Listening to this I'Ve heard a lot of same stories told in ricky gervais show, but in different way... so i dont know which podcast was.the first, since on both podcasts they(ricky and stephen) have the same reaction and act like they have heard that story for the first time, but obviously they have heard it already..... looks like a scripted material...
It's almost like they are telling the same stories, because they happened. Crazy idea.
The animated series edited alot of the podcasts to make them shorter and cut out some of the things they said
