  • CLORG goes over his own list of Pros and Cons for traveling about without a permanent home in a small travel trailer by Runaway Campers.
    ---------
The extras I got on my camper:
Coaxial Cable Connection (Never used it yet).
    Propane Cannister
    Roof Rack
    Front Rack
    Large Back Door

The benevolent alien CLORG has come to Earth to create a travel and lifestyle show for consumption on his home planet. At some point he came to realize that the digital transmissions have been hacked by teen UFOLovers and posted on RUclips.
CLORG hails from the planet Gugu-Gee, a colorful slimy orb which exists in the brightest galaxy (NGC-4696) of the constellation Centaurus (Centaurus Cluster). Gugu-Gee is approximately 145,000,000 light years from Earth. Gugu-Gee-ans are a benevolent parasitic species -- looking very much like worms, and they have the ability to inhabit a human body. (But only if the person is already dead, a clone … or in rare cases in a living human with explicit permission to cohabitate.)
    “GuGu-Gees jaKARa Pree-eeej”
    Translation: “Spread the love, Gugu-Gee-ans!”

Another CON that probably should have been added that I didn't think of ... which is actually an issue TODAY! Breaking down on the road. I didn't exactly break down as I was able to get to a repair shop, but the fix is not cheap. And it has thrown off my schedule. So that would be a Con also. Wish it was a PRO I had to add.

I have the runaway rouser and live on it full time and loving it Been doing this for 3 years Years ago i had always said when I retired I wanted to travel. Well it is happening. At first I stayed on the road but now because of gas prices and health issues I stay closer to home. I am a camp host in a state park in Louisiana. And I enjoy doing it. I still travel on week ends to runaway rally’s that are close

I bought a 4x8 Hiker Trailer and pull it with a 2005 Jeep Wrangler. I am working full time now but in 2 years l plan to retire and live in it full time and appreciate the perspective of another full timer living in a small trailer like mine.
I’ve done extended camping trips for weeks at a time and enjoyed it so hopefully it will work well for me. Happy travels!

Hi AJ! Going to "break the 4th wall" for a moment -- I appreciate your input, and I'm sure you are probably not alone in feeling that way! :) A buddy of mine has suggested that as well. But ... on the other hand, I'm sure I've put 1200+ hours (at least) into making the content on this channel, and the money out has been WAY more than the money in. So, I need to do what keeps my passion and happiness alive, and weirdly -- I know it's weird -- I'm more interested in making a show about an alien than I am making a vanlife show!
And there are so many of those travel/vanlife shows with people way more attractive than me! So maybe I haven't quite found the perfect audience. And maybe that audience is like 12 people and me. Ha ha. Time will tell. Thanks for watching. And I do understand if it's not your cup of tea exactly.
Happy Trails to you when you start out on your journey! I just today figured out another CON that I should have added ... breaking down on the road. I'm in Amarillo looking at a pretty hefty repair bill on my Jeep. That is painful.

I could do it. The camper would be better then sleeping in the truck. The camper size would be easy to maintain and easy on gas mileage. Full time living/towing a full size camper is a beast in itself.

Thanks for the video. Very nicely done with lots of usable information. Unfortunately, I insist on being able to stand up, so I am currently considering a Rouser. That one has just enough height for some custom bunk beds too, which provides for a "non-intimate" guest if needed. The top bunk can double as a huge storage shelf when going solo.

@@BrainFire Myself, and many others I believe, have a yearning to live this lifestyle, and do so as we watch videos like yours. You help us decide the best way to travel, so many 'this not that' decisions. I spent a few days in a 4x4x8 and later 5x5x8 (not exact measurements) to test the waters so to speak. I was interested in RunAways when they were about 4x4x8. Now I am trying to decide if the 5 foot high is adequate. I could go on and on. People like you help us live the dream, even if we never get on the road, Thanks again.

Hi love the vid and appreciate you taking the time to go into detail on the pros and cons of the trailer. I was wondering, what do you use the larger propane tank for? In the few cooking clips I saw you had the smaller green bottles hooked up. I've been looking at various small trailer companies, and Runaway and CampInn's budget Roadtoad line have both caught my interest.
    Thanks again and happy travels!

    • @BrainFire
      @BrainFire  Месяц назад

Hi, thanks for watching. In all honestly I've rarely used the big tank to cook. I don't seem to do as much cooking as I dreamt about, and those small tanks last for a while. But... if I was cooking a lot, that's what I'd be using it for. I suppose one might be able to power a heating unit, but I have not checked into that much. So far with the weather I've encountered, blankets have worked. And sometimes when I'm camping with hook ups, I'll run a small electric heater which works really fast.

Hi CLORG, really appreciate the videos. I think you should contact the RUclips folks and have them include your interplanetary subscribers so your numbers are up where they belong. Next time I stop by planet XenON I will encourage everyone I see to subscribe. My RangeRunner was delivered in May, waiting for the Texas heat to cool off a bit and I can’t wait to go camping. Keep the videos coming, safe travels.

This is very true. My Gugu-gee-an followers are not included on RUclips. They get the show beamed directly into their worm brains through the "brain feed." I appreciate the help on planet XenON! Be careful not to look them directly in their eye. You can get into a lot of trouble on XenON if you're not careful.

Everyone I know who has one says parking is the biggest hassle. I had a friend who lived in one in WY for 2 years. You can also do like Bob Wells and carry a pump bug sprayer and use it for outdoor showering.

    • @BrainFire

Yes -- I'm currently in San Antonio staying with a human friend, and luckily he had a place in his little apartment complex that is working so far. But if the landlady balks, I may have to move it! But sprayer for shower... interesting ... with the proper liquid mixture you could shower and keep the bugs away at the same time.

Hi. Hmmm... I'm not sure about this one. Don't know if I've had that perfect oceanside experience. I've noticed a place called Dockweiler RV Park in Playa del Rey (Los Angeles). I've always had places to stay in LA, but I've driven past this numerous times, and it seems to have hook ups, and it's right on the Pacific. And there are lots of beaches to venture out and explore from there. I've covered a few (not in terms of camping, but having a day visit -- like Point Dume ep 64, or Heisler Park in Laguna ep 112).
I camped at Big Sur in the woods (no hook ups, but they did have bathroom and shower, ep 72) which was wonderful, but that was near Point Lobos State Natural Reserve. What a terrific place that was to visit! Gorgeous! (Ep 73).
Frances Slocum State Park had bathrooms and showers. I don't think they had electric. At least, I didn't go for that while staying there. It was very charming. Ep 139.
If you find something, let me know!
