I don't even really watch baseball anymore but I love the channel. Just an FYI right at the minute mark I think you duplicated a scene so you repeat the same thing, or maybe I'm just having a stroke lol
Great job on these videos, man (also referring to your video on the worst contracts). As a Rangers fan, I was ecstatic when we signed Semien, much more so than the Seager deal. I’m still a little iffy on Seager since it is a 10 year contract, and I don’t think Seager will ever do better than he did this past season (at least on a rate basis), but like you said, we won a World Series, so I’m stoked. On a different note, is there a reason you prefer fWAR over bWAR for pitchers on a look-back basis? I mostly use bWAR for position players, though I also like fWAR for hitters as well, but for pitchers, we see a ton of variance. Not a big deal, of course, but was just curious. Fantastic work!
I didn’t want to confuse people with doing different wars. Honestly I’ve just always used fan graphs more and feel like they were more used but I’ll keep that in mind! And thank you 🙏🏾
@@PaintTheBlackBaseball I got ya, man, your approach makes sense. Nothing wrong with fWAR, I like their version as well. Hopefully you get more subscribers, you deserve it!
Curious to see how we evaluate these signings in the future with Ohtani’s referral craziness in his terms with the Dodgers. Are we going to see more Bonilla like situations where teams go bust because they owe tons of money to players who no longer contribute
If they sign Soto it will make up for it. As a yankees fan I wanted harper so bad and then when they missed out on him I wanted seager bad. They are 2 of the best 10 players in the league now and most importantly lefties.
Bryce Harper anywhere but first, and I think this list is wrong, mvp crushing it every postseason, carried the Phillies to the world series, and would've had another mvp if he didn't have tommy John, but yeah Machado was one beaten in the postseason by harper's 2 didn't win an mvp post signing like harper, and missed the postseason while Harper made it from 1 game from back to back pennants, go with it. Thisbis the stuff that makes him better, baseball fan first but you must be joking to say anyone has outplayed Harper since these signings, and lance Lynn 3 years while others played well all 5 years? Lol
Man needs more subs all this man’s vids are bangers
Appreciate that 🫡
love the videos man, underrated asf
You’re almost at 1k subs. I hope you meet it before 2023 ends. I think that could be possible.

Preemptively saying that both Harper & Wheeler are in the top 10

Damn I did all that editing and accidentally posted that part twice! 😂I’m editing it out now thank you so much and glad you are enjoying my content 🫡
Since Im a dodgers fan, the freddie freeman signing was a winner except he has to perform well in the postseason.

Boegarts should have stayed with the Sox
What I said
What's paint the black baseball mean?
The biggest fuck up of the 21st century yankees was not signing Harper
lol that is a huge fumble on their part

@ginopetrosini7315 me personally I honestly thought they would sign Seager to a huge contract and replace Torres with volpe
Can a body name a better free agent signing than the Cardinals bringing back Pujols for 1 year in 2022?
