...I'm a huge Pablo Lopez (and Twins) fan., so it's great to see him on your list. His start against the Jays in the wild card series was one of the best I've ever seen a Twin pitch, and I've been watching them on and off for over sixty years...
I have a hard time ranking Zac Efflin above Gerrit Cole. Cole's old, sure, but he throws as hard as anybody on that list and has by far the longest track record of accruing innings (something I think you underestimated overall). I can see calling out Cole for his BABIP, he's not likely to have an ERA under 3 again but he also had some bad luck in previous seasons with unusual HR rates, etc. He's clearly the best HOF candidate on your list, at least at the current time (also because Verlander, Kershaw, and Scherzer are aging off of it) and roughly as good as he's ever been. I was thinking the whole time "if every pitcher was a free agent right now, who would get the most money?" Cole's not going to top that list due to age but on a yearly rate basis, he might well get #1.
@@PaintTheBlackBaseball ZIPS has Nola literally as the #1 projected pitcher for 2024. He had a lot of "bad luck" with a 12% HR/FB. He didn't get his usual rate of ground balls which maybe is getting worse, but nobody's got his innings over such a long track record
I'm definitely biased when I say this, but I witnessed in person Strider getting out pitched by Ranger Suarez in the final game of the NLDS. I'm not putting that guy at the top of the league.
I think he’s going to do some special things this year. If you wanted to watch just me ranking based on performance last year and no projections it would be a pretty boring list no?
Ranking 8 pitchers above Cole makes me lose some respect for your baseball opinions. He’s shown zero signs of regression so far. Show the man some respect. He’s top 5 easy….possibly top 3.

Yeah he learned something switching teams. He should have a special season
Great video, you've got interesting takes!
Thank you 🙏🏾

Also Aaron Nola not making top 15 is pretty harsh. Again, it's about the innings.
He was on my just missed but couldn’t ignore an era in the 4s
Yeah I could be wrong on Eflin not doubting that by the ranking would’ve been boring had I gone chalk!

I like the Lopez pick he had a really good year. Strider is just the truth 🙏🏾
Appreciate you 🙏🏾

That’s like discrediting Kershaws whole career because he comes up short in the post season. Can’t agree personally
What’s a Paint the Black Baseball top 10 without a top 15
🙏🏾
Howcome Sonny Gray isnt in your top 10
Playing better competition next year
Gerrit Cole ??
He’s on my list
The hardest to rank in the top 10 and yet he’s at 5?

Eflin? He’s not even the best pitcher on his team
Being able to stay healthy matters but okay 👍🏾

No matter how I rank things people will complain so do you. Let’s see you do this
