Great video. I have 3 beautiful maltese girls. I have enjoyed them 20 years now. My momma girl is 20 in June and her two Daughters are 17. They have given me tremendous love and brought so much joy to our lives. I love the bread.
I rescued a Maltese or a part Maltese 4 years ago. He was running loose, eaten up with fleas, very dirty with his fur torn out on rear part of him. He was starved and very under weight. He had been living on dog do-it. When he looked at me with those big black eyes begging for help I had to help him even though I already had 3 dogs. I brought him home and tried to find his owner. He had no id. Today he is still with me and is loved dearly. One of my other dog has passed away and the other 2 will soon because they are almost 17. He will be my only and last dog because I am 80. Please people don’t turn your back on a starving little dog and don’t buy dogs. There is to many free one who needs you. God will bless you.
My Bailey is the sweetest dog I have ever had. He is very intelligent and has a huge vocabulary for human words. He has lots of allergies when it comes to outdoor life, lots of grasses and seasonal pollens. He will turn 14yrs old on his next birthday. Physically, he has some arthritis but gets around like a puppy! He has a cataract in his right eye and I think he has lost vision there. Has another small one in the left eye, but, gets around very well He is the ❤️ love of my Life.
You are right on all accounts. My precious pup is loving, longs to be near me, loyal and gentle to all. She is 12 years old and has heart problems and enlarged heart. She is on medication and hasn’t had a seizure for a year till last week. Had trouble using her back legs on and off and a big seizures today. My heart is breaking. It’s been a year since they said she would probably have two more good years. Very special breed
L have t he absolute joy of my life, she is a rescue ,that had an awful start in life ,now she so happy, and is now almost elev en years old,a little athritic, but with vetinary help my wonderful little companion is still going strong, and lives with my other resecues . I was given my first dog to care for aged five, and am now an old woman, and though I have truly lov ed them all ,but there are only three that make my heart queeze with sheer joy and utter devotion and my bunldle of fluff malteze is right up there, and oh how I know ,she loves me too . Good will and best wishes to all dog lovers ,
The sweetest. Totally changed us into dog people especially Maltese. Adorable, faithful, loving and really clever. So soft. We have two. First one is called Candy and our second one is Floss. Describes them so well.
I was so devastated when my 2 toy and mini white gorgeous perfect quiet poodles died.but after a few months I got a white precious maltese puppy . Never did I think I could get over that pain bur I am healed so go get another doggie after a few months God bless.
My Maltese/Bichon is 16.5 years old and has been and is a wonderful dog. His name is Zeus and although he was born in Spain he doesn't like the sun. Vet says his heart is strong even tho' he has a heart murder. Wonderful breed to own. I am so lucky to have Zeus.
We own 1 Maltese. It’s a girl, 8 yrs old. She’s extremely communicative, and independent, but when she needs something or wants your attention, she will do what it takes to get it. We love her a ton, and do take her “almost” everywhere. 4 months ago we lost our Older Maltese, (Coco also a girl), and Cloe missed her quite a bit, became depressed but she’s now better. She’s the only one at home now and gets all the attention. We love the breed! ❤️
I have a maltipoo, he's my best friend! He's smart and loyal and everyone loves him. He had a really good disposition, although he's already 9 years old so he's getting just a little grumpy. I still love him like crazy. I definitely will be devastated when he dies. I hope that's not for a while.
Our Maltese is called Millie. She is 9 yrs old now.Her half sister is Maisey and she is a maltipoo. Millie is beautiful and Maisey is cute. A pair of rascals and Millie is very protective of her older, smaller sister. Thank you for your video.xx
My Maltese is 14 years old he use to be so sweet but now in his old age he bites and has terrible anxiety. He can't hear anymore and I can't hold him like I use to because he won't let me although he still follows me through out the house. I feel sorry for him because he has gotten so mean. I have to give him medication for his anxiety everyday. It's sad when they get old....
We lost our little man @ 17.5 yrs old, at the end of his life he went blind and deaf, but he was always loved dearly, it broke our hearts when we lost him 😭
We lost two litter mates in the last two years about the same age. I bought my wife another female last year but the problem is she is attached to me. Now we are buying one more and hopefully, it will be attached to my wife. Penelope wants me to hold her all the time. They are precious coming from someone that didn't want house dogs.
My Morkie(Maltese/Yorkie) is totally Maltese in appearance. I named her Mindy from the TV show Mork and Mindy. She loves everyone and everything. I am so glad that you cautioned about jumping. During playtimes I would encourage her to jump on the sofa to fetch a toy. No more! The single biggest challenge is her coat. Matting and tangles happen quickly unless grooming is daily. I also use a mobil groomer who trims Mindy every 6 weeks. My previous dogs were Italian Greyhounds. The coat maintenance went from virtually none with my IG’s to constant vigilance with Mindy....but she is worth it.
I have a Korean Maltese and he’s 10 weeks old. He’s very playful, energetic and funny and cute. The only thing right now is the sneeze. He started sneezing when he came home 2 weeks ago. Hope he overcomes it. Gave him Allegra for the first time today and he’s only 2.1 lbs. thanks for sharing ur video.❤️😎👊😋
my baby milo is so cute ♥️ he sleeps on his back and keeps his tongue out while sleeping and its the cutest thing ever! He is only 5 weeks old, ill be taking him home in 2 weeks!
Thank you for the warning about jumping. When Harry is sitting in a chair, he seems reluctant to jump down. Now I realize that he is smarter than we are. I am going to purchase a set of steps for the couch. The video was very interesting.
I have a 3year old Maltipoo! I have taken her to obedience training and will get her certified as a therapy dog! She is very obedient and smart! I walk her daily with me and I also use steps to get onto the bed! She trained easily to them ! She is approximately 6 1/2 #. We love her so much! I also groom her and she is really good when I’m trimming her! My baby granddaughter is 9 mos old and Lucy is fantastic with her. We are teaching my granddaughter to pet her with open palm and not pull her hair! Lucy will quickly back away to avoid any problems with the baby.
We just lost our pomeranian to a calapsing trachea after 13 yrs. 😢 i still have a yorkie and shitzu. Considering getting a Maltese puppy male. My girls are one 13yrs and one 6yrs. Any advice? Puppy is a male and I read that they are also prone to collapsing trachea. I lost hair and have an ulcer from my pomeranian dying over a two year period. Is a Maltese male worth it?
I have two Maltipoos a brother and sister. Their names are Flynn and Roxie. They love people but other dogs not so much. You can control them around other dogs if you use good leash techniques. They are seven years old now and still have puppy like personalities. They aren’t hard to train and love learning tricks really just anything so they can spend time with you. My girl loves to play catch and return and the boy is just a huge lap dog. He is also my little shadow wanting to help out with anything I am doing and both of them are very curious about things you’re doing. Since they don’t shed we allow them to get on the furniture. We keep ours in a puppy cut for easy maintenance plus they have the wavy hair so short hair looks better (to us) I’ve had the joy of many different dogs and I believe these are the best companions.
Hi, thanks for that beautyful video. My Morkie hates it to stay alone. He is so playfull and cute. Always there where I am. In my opinion the cutest breed of all.
My maltese was 19 1/2 yrs old when I had to put him down last yr. The best dog I ever had! Presently looking for another Maltese . Unfortunately I did spoil my baby and still miss him terribly.
My Maltese doesn't fit the norm. She loves to say hi to everyone but doesn't like to be picked up and cuddled. Great with other animals, both wild and domesticated. She's 9 years old and we walk over 1000 miles every year. Doesn't jump on furniture and doesn't like going up a set of stairs. She is solid muscle
There are very few people she likes, but the ones she does she loves and they her. She and I are kind of joined at the hip, which is fine. We're a perfect match for eachother! My little girl is about 8 y/o we think. I adopted her. The only issues she has is her teeth and she absolutely hates being groomed. I'd love to know what happened in her past.
I’ve had my Maltese (+-2y/o, she was a stray) for about a week now and she’s definitely not independent. She follows me everywhere I go and I think this is because her previous owners babied her too much 😩
Play biting is normal, but biting too hard isn’t. You’ll have to train your pup to know how hard she can bite. A stern “No” when she bites too hard and stopping to play for a while usually does it. Socialize her with other pups too, dogs bite a lot when playing with each other and normally learn how hard they can bite before it becomes too much for the other dog.
Mine too, he started getting aggressive outside. I went back to basics wait, place etc., Don’t let the dog bite you. Say No and give timeout. I gave timeouts when started biting me
Remember, even though cute and adorable, they are still a DOG, with the same DNA as a Pit Bull or any other dog!!... Obedience training and socializing, ESPECIALLY when they're young is a MUST!!
I am seriously considering a Maltese. Not sure if I want a teacup or regular size. My only fear is that I wont be able to properly train and socialize, and both are so very important. I know that early training is very important. I would hate to fail my pup. If anyone has any tips, they would be appreciated. Am I picking the right breed for my lifestyle, being 71 and single. Are they stubborn? And 'arguementative'? I would like to take my pup along with me to as many places as possible. Is this really considered 'over-pampering' or spoiling?' Another fear is that I wont be able to leave the pup (crated, the open metal ones, not the dark plastic) while I run errands, and theyll bark the entire time. So many questions, I know. I just want to make sure I give a pup the best possible life. And keep my sanity at the same time. Lol.
My Maltese is very kiddish. I have a pet door to go outside to pee, I also have a yorkie who is his mentor. He follows her. He will not go out the pet door only if she goes out. If he has to pee he will look at the door we have to encourage him to go out. He is not a lap dog. He will lay beside me for a minute than he is wants down. We love him to death he is so sweet, so playful. I wish his pee time was not in my house. Other than that he is great! He is 4 years.
im getting a boy tea cup Maltese tomorrow ive never had an inside dog or a Maltese but ive been doing research so I can give him the best life before I get him he is very tiny and can fit in your hand I know this because my big sister has one at her house and mine is the same but a boy one she named hers tiny mine is gonna be named Elvis after Elvis Presley because I though it was cute and he looks like an Elvis they only get to about 4 to 5 pounds when adults and 1 or 2 pounds when puppys!!!!!
Daisy and Violet are sisters. We read somewhere that it is not good to have more than one Maltese from the same litter. Now, 12 years later and going strong, we know why. Personality-wise, these two girls are 180 out. Other than their white hair (not fur) and beautiful black eyes, they have absolutely nothing in common. Violet is an incredible sweetie and loves everybody, very curious, wants to investigate everything, loves to take walks. Daisy is just the opposite, becomes aggressive with women, seems to only like men, sometimes bites my wife, thinks she is my right or left arm, but mostly my brain and is difficult to groom. My wife is learning how to get along with her. Whenever it thunders outside, my wife is the one Daisy runs to, not me. Go figure. I had a question or two, but I am old. I sometimes can't remember a thought more than 10 seconds after I think it.
I own a maltese named lily, about 4 years old. I found her near garbage bags all dirty and weak, she was hardly a month old. Her old owner must have abandoned her. Though she looked really sick, she wagged her tail and waited for me to come for her. Without thinking twice i picked her up and bought her home. And she dint hesitate! Because of her bright personality i named her lily. She loves cuddles and hugs, and is very freindly. I lost my sister due to cancer but now.. i have a companion!
I love my little chloe she loves to be brushed and I do her eyes with a baby first tooth brush she loves that to she's very clever and has every one around her little paw she loves being groomed she is done every 3 to 4 month she knows when I'm upset she gets up on me and kisses my nose iv just lost my husband ans she goes and lay on his chair looking at his picture he alwayed brushed her but she let's me do it I fined she is picky with what she eats but we get there in the end we love her so much..
I had a Maltese Fritz for16 years was the best dog I ever had. He was my therapy dog. My problem now is to get a Maltese it costs $3,500.00 or more to get one from a reputable breeder. I am disabled and live on a fixed income. So I keep looking but I haven't found one I can afford in years. I am so lonely and sad with out a companion. I live alone so to have a loving companion that has hair not fur because I'm allergic to pet fur would make a big difference in my life! What to do?
I have a Maltese and I have doggie steps at the foot of my bed just for him and I take him with me everywhere I go I haven't found a dog food he will eat so I feed him chicken fleshly cooked and turkey 😋
He needs veggies, minerals and vitamins meant for dogs!! He's NOT a protein only eating CAT!! He'll be dead by 8 years old if you keep feeding him "what he wants." He WON'T STARVE himself longer than three days, after that, he'll eat what you give him that will ensure a HEALTHY and long life. Try mixing what you give him with the healthy stuff.
A high quality dry kibble for toy or small dogs like Royal Canin should be okay. Each pup is different though and your pup might prefer something different.
Please stay away from royal canin if you can. Its known to use low quality ingredients. In the UK many vets will recommend Royal canin, but that is simply because they are they are being basically sponsored by the manufacturer and so push royal canin. You'd probably be better off going to your usual pet shop and ask if they make their own mixes. Good luck.
i have a 7 years old Maltese since she was 8 weeks old. She did not come from a reputable breeder. She was very hard to train, and the older she got she started to bite, growl and bark. i spent lots of time with her, took her to obedient course and play room,. She is not playing with other dogs, only hiding behind me. The obedient training was not successful. Very difficult to give her a bath and I cannot brush her at all! She would bite my hands off! In the same household we have a golden Retriever and my Maltese is very jealous. Is there any way I can teach her no bite, no growl and no bark? I am working on the jealousy issue as best as I can. everything equal everything in the same time, etc.. The Golden retriever is my daughter's dog ,and the Golden was first in the house. I love my Abby very much and she is my baby doggy doesn't matter how old she will be, but we both would be so much happier if she would not be so stubborn.
Please people, don't get a Maltese from someone who is willing to sell them before they are 12 weeks old. Little dogs raised by backyard breeders or puppy mills can, and probably will, have serious health issues. And never ever buy a dog from someone who uses the term "teacup." That is a marketing term, but breeders who make an effort to breed dogs who are smaller than the standard underfeed the mother while she is pregnant. Do a lot of research and be prepared to spend $3000 or more. If you can't, save a shelter dog instead.
I’m a first time puppy owner, my maltese is 16weeks old. She is okay at nights no problem sleeping in our lounge in her bed bu just suddenly for 4 nights in a row, she will suddenly woke up and barks non stop like she’s seeing something. At first she will bark at the front door but last night, she suddenly woke up and bark and growl to the tv and fireplace and looks scared! We literally have to cuddle her as we worried about the neighbour as its already 11pm. I dont know what to do now.
Make sure she doesn’t see herself in any reflections. My girl does that with our fireplace. She’s wondering why that dog is in her house (and it is “her” house now).
I'm a 2 time pitbull owner and loved my dogs to death! After my 13 year old brendell passed my wife talked me into getting a mailtise and I swore I'd never get a small dog, but glad I did! Now my wife's jealous of my little dog Bailey who's attached to my hip 😂
#1….Never Allow Them [To] Do Big Jumps….….just lazy. I will say however, maltese couldn’t be contained from jumping. He even drop kicked me in the face while watch AFV. Human abuse…
one thing you must never do, in my opinion....buy one. Millions of dogs suffer, abandoned by people they thought loved them. On the street, they are often terribly abused, poisoned, mouth, sexually abused by humans, starve and die by Mange, and other diseases. This is not a bad channel, but these dogs may also be the result of puppy mills where female dogs are caged, and forced to have pups until they cannot, and then they die. Please consider an alternative. These pure breeds also can have serious health problems due to inbreeding. I vote for an adoption, street dogs are so incredibly grateful and affectionate. So if one of you changes their mind, this post is worth it.

That is so sweet, thank you for sharing your story & your home with those babies! They give so much back to us, it is so worth it.
Yours is a wonderful story. Thanks for sharing.

I had to smile with the zoomies. Going so fast the tail reaches the ground. My Maltese Poodle did the same. She lived to 18 years.
Our Maltipoos do that at least twice a day for about 5 minutes at a time.
Yeah you're absolutely right Maltese are great pets, playful and intelligent. 👍Fm 🇵🇭✌️🙏
Yes I have one they are very loving and smart mine is older and I’m hoping he lives forever love him so much
My maltese is the best friend, companion and soul.

Ours sleep with us so we got a set of stairs for the bed.
These are my favourite dogs and I have owned several they are the best… always fun cheerful energetic sociable n adaptable.
My maltese Fannie loves everyone!

Luna is 3 pounds of love but sometimes piss and vinegar! She want to be on everyone’s lap and will bark until you pick her up or scold her. 💝
he's the love if my life ❤️😘🤗🥰
My maltese is the sweetest girl ever!
Train obedience and socialize while young, like you would a young Pit Bull or other medium to large DOGS... Remember!! They are DOGS -- NOT BABIES!!!
They also think they are big dogs!
Hi, thanks for that beautyful video. My Morkie hates it to stay alone. He is so playfull and cute. Always there where I am.

My multese is spoiled rotten but sweet as sugar she tough and loves everyone and she gets regular vet check ups
great video! also all the traits our Maltese Louie displays haha
First! And thank you so much I have one
Your not first your last the first is at the very bottom
@@AdorbsxAmber I was first and it doesn’t always have to be at the bottom
Sweet heart
Once my Maltese smelled my other dog a female chocolate lab and started humping that spot and everyone got a laugh out of it I love this breed so much
I have 6 month maltese I love her to bits but how can I stop her licking so much she also bit nervous around anybody else
My 9-week old maltese is getting aggressive. Is that normal? I can tell thw ay she bites is no longer a play bite

Another fear is that I wont be able to leave the pup (crated, the open metal ones, not the dark plastic) while I run errands, and theyll bark the entire time. So many questions, I know. I just want to make sure I give a pup the best possible life. And keep my sanity at the same time. Lol.
My Maltese is very kiddish. I have a pet door to go outside to pee, I also have a yorkie who is his mentor. He follows her. He will not go out the pet door
only if she goes out. If he has to pee he will look at the door we have to encourage him to go out. He is not a lap dog. He will lay beside me for a minute
than he is wants down. We love him to death he is so sweet, so playful. I wish his pee time was not in my house. Other than that he is great! He is 4 years.
Cute🐾❤
im getting a boy tea cup Maltese tomorrow ive never had an inside dog or a Maltese but ive been doing research so I can give him the best life before I get him he is very tiny and can fit in your hand I know this because my big sister has one at her house and mine is the same but a boy one she named hers tiny mine is gonna be named Elvis after Elvis Presley because I though it was cute and he looks like an Elvis they only get to about 4 to 5 pounds when adults and 1 or 2 pounds when puppys!!!!!
Yea
We had no problem with my wife's two. They were both from the same litter. Both were great females that were loved till they both passed.
My Maltipoo is my darling. Her name is Fofa 🎀🥰
Great video. I look forward to more.
I have a Maltese which is 12 years old
l have a maltese and his name is OLLIE !
What to do?
Have you tried adopting one? It might not seem like it but they’re also Maltese dogs in need of new homes.
Yes I live in fairbanks Alaska. Things are a bit of a challenge up here.
Ours is Lulu!
I have 2
I have a toy toy poodle which is 12 years old
I have a Maltese and I have doggie steps at the foot of my bed just for him and I take him with me everywhere I go I haven't found a dog food he will eat so I feed him chicken fleshly cooked and turkey 😋
@@noninoni9962 what good quality food you recommend
@lorenalee smith What steps do you recommend to get on the couch or bed?
Do you know the best kind of food for a teacup maltese?
A high quality dry kibble for toy or small dogs like Royal Canin should be okay. Each pup is different though and your pup might prefer something different.
Please stay away from royal canin if you can. Its known to use low quality ingredients. In the UK many vets will recommend Royal canin, but that is simply because they are they are being basically sponsored by the manufacturer and so push royal canin. You'd probably be better off going to your usual pet shop and ask if they make their own mixes. Good luck.
What are the best brand food ?
Royal Canin is a good one with nice reviews.
Thank you
My Maltese to much eyes tears
Give him purified water and good food quality like Royal Kanin for Maltese
i have a 7 years old Maltese since she was 8 weeks old.
I love my Abby very much and she is my baby doggy doesn't matter how old she will be, but we both would be so much happier if she would not be so stubborn.
my maltese is so mean, he doesn’t like to be pet or picked up
Please people, don't get a Maltese from someone who is willing to sell them before they are 12 weeks old.
She may be "seeing" something.
There are you tube videos for
music to clear energies in a room.
Please try that.
It worked for my dog.
My Maltese is 12 weeks old. She's 1.7 pounds. What is the absolute best food I can feed her. I will pay any price

My Maltese baby is a bi-polar, schizophrenic transhuman with mommy issues.
I'm a 2 time pitbull owner and loved my dogs to death! After my 13 year old brendell passed my wife talked me into getting a mailtise and I swore I'd never get a small dog, but glad I did! Now my wife's jealous of my little dog Bailey who's attached to my hip 😂
Meltese is cuter
I thought it was a straight hair poodle
My type order passed away

one thing you must never do, in my opinion....buy one. So if one of you changes their mind, this post is worth it.
did you adopt your children if not why not.
