After leveling up Dehaka to the maximum level of 15 he turns out to be extremely powerful. In this video I solo a Brutal mission with ease. While this is doable with other Commanders as well, Dehaka seems to breeze through it.

given that nova is more than willing to work with the new dominion (helped formed by james raynor) that nova choice is probably the canon one, thus a dead tosh and it seems atleast they're only adding alive characters. I mean i'd like tosh too but that requires blizzard to confirm a choice
I was more or less hoping for a Stetmann co op commander with him being removed from that shroud mist mission. His army would be mainly based on predators and other science terran units.
Thing is, the Coop is:
1) not Lore conform. That much should be no surprise.
2) playing before the LotV end. Well, guess that much is apparent as well, with Amon forces running rampant
3) The lore conformed choices are to save the doctor, as well as working with Tosh as the primary choices (a canon), see starcraft.wikia.com/wiki/A_canon#Making_a_Branch_Canon
So, yeah, a Tosh Commander is possible, and I hope for it as well. Though that begs the question - how will he be different from Nova? Tosh will obviously be a Hero Unit as well, and while he probably would not have access to Elite Mercenaries, I wouldn't know what other units he could get, making him that different. Maybe something with Terrazine ... ? Dunno.
Though the greater question is - what Zerg Commander is next? There is no big character left, save for something like the Overmind.

I feel like making him need some kind of supply building would pretty much balance it out. I was annoyed after leveling to 15 on Artanis that his ultimate upgrade is something Dehaka just always has
Imagine being able to play Dehaka like this in hots. He'd have one leg at the mid lane and the other one at top :D

Dehaka is basically playing Zerg but you are as chunky and devastating as the Protoss.
Plus the swarm spam because you are a zerg afterall
so trick for playing with a "dead ally" build supply, use their command centers to harvest your stuff, then drones dont count toward your unit count
killing each other is exactly what wild zerg signed up for.

Any of the commanders can solo brutal missions, its actually often easier because you get 4 base income! esp an easy mission like this. Do temple defense or even dead of night.
It's pretty amazing how they pretty much implemented a completely new playable faction.
The build animations are weired tho

Lowko will you do your run down of dehaka and what his best builds are. Also I have found that is it really fun to just use dehaka and none of his units except pack leaders in brutal missions as it means your constant focus is on him and your generally get more essence
Hydra/Roach > Muta/Guardian > Ultra > Tyrannozaur is the strongest death ball he can get. And it works on every mission.
Dehaka is the most OP on that ... u know that undead mission when he just inhales a Stank 1 shot
Next thing you know, they'll make a commander that's a literal map-sized nuke.
they fight because they wanted their essence like dehaka wanted that's how the Primal Zerg works. Primal Zergs are the very first zerg. They eat their own kind because of essence

Usually I go mass muta which are pretty much invincible if microed correctly.
The most terrifying enemy attack is the one in the video: yamato + seeker.
And late game if you throw in a couple of tyrannosaurs with armor aura you are kinda untouchable.
Generally you can use Dehaka for early-game so you can transit directly to muta.
Yeah, it would be sad to see Dehaka cut down, but the three huge cooldowns are pretty OP. They should probably limit him to one or two of those.

tbf zeratul with his void array and the enforcers are pretty powerful when used properly plus you can start them fairly quickly. To add on to this once you get the second xel'naga crystal you can use the tesseract matrix to essentially get teleporting tesseract cannons

Big Dehaka looks bit like godzilla
Hey Lowko what do you think about Dehaka versus Banshee Terran? On the recent mutation (Avenger), it becomes nearly impossible to keep your detection up since Dehaka is only mobile form of detection and he absolutely melts versus that composition. IMO lack of a unit other than buildings and Dehaka himself with detection is a major design fault with him.
You ever think on that play 2 hero once cause your partner leave the game that gonna be a good video :D
Ehh, I don't know. Guardians and mutas are great with Dehaka, but mix in a few Tyrannozors for the added armor upgrade, and it really helps a lot. Or just go mass Tyrannozor--that's pretty fun too. Alternatively, I feel like massing swarm hosts is the best way to go with Dehaka solo because you can just burrow them and send in wave after wave, and it only has one upgrade to let it hit air. Easier if you're soloing. But this was fun to watch.

I guess I picked a good hero to buy after my return to SC2 co-op lol
1. Rifts to Korhal is one of the easiest Co-op missions
2. Do Temple of the past solo or Brutal Mutator mission solo

Sounds like you're trying to imply that he isn't OP.
This is definitely an easy mission, but you're either bias (you play him a lot) or ignorant (you don't know his power relative to other commanders) to not consider him OP. My brother and I were doing brutal on level 5 Dehaka/Abathur, and we haven't done much brutal in the past.
From my experience, he is the absolute strongest commander while leveling, and definitely top 2/3 at max level.
He is only saying that other commanders can do this too and it depends on the mission. Dehaka is strong but it depends on which aspect of him you are describing. (eg. coop pvp, mission type etc)
Do you know that Dehakas zergling can collect mineral? :O

Most Commanders can solo a brutal mission. Especially when you have 4 (!) bases.
The ult is powerful but his devour can one shot most things taking out most threats instantly

I chucknorrised whole mission as Dehaka. On my own. When my coop parnter left permanently during loading. Even bonus objectives. NOT OVERPOWERED AT ALL.
Dehaka is basically Zerg, but actually Terran, but really Protoss.
yikes - you did not eat Psionic units ? - i mean ravens and sience ships are literally the best thing dehaka can eat :D
and the less hp the unit had when eaten the lower the cooldown will be - means if you eat small units constantly youll survive so much easier

When I play dehaka I basically don't make melee units and dehaka is my early-mid and late game I'll make tyranzors for there bonuses and stuff

Bro dehaka my main and this video makes me very happy, it looks like though that you don’t know that his unit production buildings cost supply, but that’s just me.
also you can break the rocks on your natural much faster with 4 zerglings while dahaka clears the first crystal... for the true minmax :)
Btw. aren't you forgeting about failing at Darkest dungeon? Technically by playing SC1 you're failing to find the Baron, but such failure isn't pleasure :(

Pretty much every commander can easily solo most brutal mission, since they re a joke. Dehaka is on the stronger side, but I ldnt put him on the same level as Nova and Vorazun.
Flo and stukov too but only because he is good for 70% of all mutations😂😂

I don’t feel like you need 4 bases, each base costs 5 supply so you got 20 supply in just bases and way more than necessary if you tried to fully saturate all of them. At late game, may have been worth it to just uproot 2 of those hives and join the combat

LowkoTV, you could have done this much better if you just made your ally left from the beginning and use his/her Scvs to mine. Since he/she left from the beginning, the resources will be transferred to you right? Instead of waiting to make a primal hive right in the beginning. :)
Then discard the Scvs and command center if you can build a Primal Hive with enough resources.

In my experience its not that any commander is too strong is just that the missions are too easy.

In normal scenario, rather than taking your ally's base you would be carrying a useless ally with just 2 base though

Having OP commanders in co op isn't really a bad thing, considering you can play on brutal difficulty, or the special weekly challenges, or even make your own scenario where everything is stacked against you. I think nerfing commanders would take away some of the enjoyability of the game.
