That strat you used looks familiar. :B Here's some more info for the benefit of your viewers who also want to beat this mutation: - First set of rifts spawn at 2:20, 2nd set spawns at 3:50, and more spawn every 90 seconds thereafter. - 5 SHOTS from the Spear of Adun is all you need to kill each Void Rift. You were definitely overkilling them and wasting valuable energy. - Orbital Strike, Solar Lance, and Purifier Beam all provide a small vision radius. This is how you were able to kill those Rifts despite losing your Probe. - You can start your SECOND Spear of Adun Upgrade by the time the first Chrono Wave is ready. This provides a lot of energy. The gist is to rush out your tech tree. You can afford to get a Gateway and Cybernetics Core before Forge, and still be able to put Cannons just before the first wave hits your base. - Energizers allow your static defense to hold on for much longer, since they basically stim your cannons. - Try not to waste too much energy on killing the attack waves; that is what your cannons are for. Just snipe key targets like Point Defense Drones, Siege Tanks, Immortals, etc. - Your observers have SURVEILLANCE MODE. It sieges them up and gives them a lot more vision range. Very useful for sniping Void Rifts.
At this very moment, levels 1-6 Zagara spawns 4 banelings from ALL baneling nests. Its a bug since recent patch. I did this mtuation on brutal with level 5 Zagara and some random Stukov player. But I think Zagara + Artanis would make this mission rather easy to do.
LowkoTV I think that the note in the description of the mutation was not lying. But I consider the choice of Nova here not so good. In my opinion, your friend should play Stukov or Zagara instead. The reason is - they can easily replace their units weaken from enemys' storm of abilities. Also The Swarm counters a swarm of Amon's peasants :^) However your choice of Karax would have some trouble synergising with their armies cuz they have practically no mech units at all, but I still think that it's not an issue. Also almost brilliant Karax from you! Really enjoyed watching :3 P.S. Hello from Russia!
Honestly just watching you play this one was stressful enough for me lmao. Think I'm gonna skip this one since my friends don't generally enjoy these type of missions and I only play multiplayer mutation missions with them :)
LowkoTV if you didn't know as I've not seen you do it, send energisers with your ally to buff them and place them next to your defences and deploy them it will auto buff your defences.
You keep using your energy to help Nova with fights she would have had on her own (even shooting the static and easily manageable thrashers), and then you don't have any left for rifts that open up on the far end of the map where Nova will not be able to help.
Hey Lowko! Just wanted to let you know that I really appreciate all the work and effort you're putting intro your stream and RUclips. You've managed to create a place, where I can just be me and hang out with other viewers. Thanks for your attitude. I love that you're being content and well... being you! It really makes this channel something special and unique. Cheers from Denmark!
1. More chronoboost. Super helpful for upgrading. Also, if you have the mastery, it gives you extra energy. 2. Gotta be more efficient with those orbital bombardments. If your ally has units next to them, don't fire.
Abathur/Swann isn't bad. Abathur focuses on spreading creep to spot the nearby rifts, then Swann lasers them down. You really need that laser drill construction time though.
Vorazun/Stukov. I massed DTs and upgraded them as soon as possible and we didn't get our expansions during the course of the match. Stukov set up a very effective defensive perimeter using bunkers and placed them throughout the map as well so that any void rifts that spawn are immediately underfire. Void Rifts above all else, if they spawn, destroy them. Absolutely intense mutation. The hardest one I've done yet.
Done it with Karax on the second attempt on hard difficulty. The instant canons held easily the line on the main base, while the units hunted down the trashers. Not even used upgrades.
a single carrier floating around on defense would drain the shots on point defense drones. Just a thought for folks. AND DONT be an idiot (:-P) like lowko, send your observers close, not right on top of voids.
Enemy can repeatedly Black Hole, then spam Fungal and Storm. Or Fungal and Seeker Missile. Multiple attempts seems to be mandatory since you can get random 'party wipes' from enemies with the correct skill combos.
I just watched a video where this mission was completed with Raynor & Vorazun, so I think that it may be doable with other commanders as well, though with much more of an effort.
After like 60 attempts I finally just beat it. One of the hardest ones for sure. Ran Karax/Nova also. Super down to the wire, killed the last thrasher with like 3 banshees and a couple orbitals while our bases were almost down. What a rush!! Feels good :) The only other one that took me this long to beat was that Rak'shir one with the infested waves and super speed. The hybrid nuke on on the escort mission I gave up and just did on hard, though maybe we could've won if I had given it more of a go.
Beat it on the 2nd try as karax w/ a Zagara ally. I basically used orbital strikes and pylons/defense all around the map (w/ support of observers spread out) and the Zagara ally rushed the thrasher spawning pts. I had to follow w/ a probe building defense on the final push.
Lowko, you should try stukov next time. his mechanic/air units are much stronger than before. take mastery points to mechanic units' attack speed and try!
Pretty sure you can cheese this with zagara + karax. Zagara herself and free banelings can deal with the first thrasher no problem. Unless you are unfortunate enough to meet parasitic bomb and your splitting is terrible; you can just fly around defenses and scourge all the thrashers. Meanwhile, karax can just go 1 base static defense and ignore his expansion. Karax fort is strong enough to hold even despite leaving all the rifts alive; with support of zagara herself and the free banelings.
played this mutator with a very toxic stukov couple of days ago, spent half the game throwing insults at me even after i've managed to completely secure our bases and spent every energy i have supporting the offense. i mean what does he expect me to do, send carriers? on the bright side, i won.
remembered this annoying one just now the winning pair for me was vorazun and karax invisible static defence makes this very easy and the high dps units of vorazun can do enough damage and even if they cast spells the zerg cant hit what they cant see
Deploying the sentries gives them a power field do they don't get disabled. They are a great back up source plus increase attack speed of the static defense :)
block ramp with vorazun extended range range pylon and karax cannons and just worry about the main push with detectors. The minions dont have detection
Nova / Karax seems to be the only viable build. You could try to cheese it with Raynor, OC, scan. Just hit objectives. I think you'd get overwhelmed by randos spawning. Another thought: use Vora's Dark Archons or Karax's reclaim to control enemy units. Use the enemy's OP units to take objectives and use sim city to defend.
I tried Raynor/Karax. It seemed to work quite well as scan (or a marine from a drop pod) allows you to take out the portals no matter where they spawn. Sadly while survival was no issue at all we couldn't quite bring down the thrashers (possibly because we weren't greedy enough with expos) but I'm sure a better player could make it work.
I know that this was a while ago but I'm thinking.. and Karax is pretty essential but nova was a bad idea cause her eco builds fast but her units are sooooo expensive.. but abathur would be amazing here because the void rifts give you more units to give biomass. Please tell me if you think of any reason this would be bad..
I know it's a bit late, but why didn't you just use artanis with archons. They have the feedback ability and since all of the enemies have energy that means they all get effected.
Lowko, one of the mistake you did in this game that is very glaring is that you keep using your abilities on the void rift that nova herself is nearby (and can kill it with no problem). Your abilities are strictly for those that are far away from Nova or the one that she can't get to. Using it near Nova is just a waste of energy.
Azure Do you have gameplay for weekly mutation? Would be awesome to have gameplay from both lowko and you. Your plays is very impressive, on many mutation, you carried lowko hard!
it seems what matter is where the rifts appear at. if early 1~2 rifts appears inside void thrasher's base, it would be unbeatable.. I have cleared this mutation by stukov + kerrigan. in the beginning, kerrigan destroyed the rifts around and middle/later of the game, stukov' diamondbacks did. once you have cleared rift ASAP, this mutation will be much easier. (though, it is hard one because of "power overwhelming" :(
1:54 How come lowko has coronavirus floating in the background. So the super hard mission is to fight COVID-19? Even the power of zeratul might not be a match.
I haven't played co-op in such a long time but i feel that swann is better at defense especially his drill after upgrade? Not sure if is he still viable? i hope he is, i only have him maxed :(
I don't think he is better necessarily as those free global repairs are sick but he is probably a viable option. Especially since he can switch into thors lategame where Karax would be limited to spear of adun support.
think raynor would have been better than karax since they shut down pylons though the spear of adun powers might be to strong to not have pretty sure i would fail hard no matter what commander i picked xD
YOYO Lowko, will you ever do a QnA again????
Thinking of doing one this upcoming weekend. It'll be an Instagram Q&A. Make sure to follow me there!
I am following you on Facebook, Twitter and Indtagram...and YT ofcourse...
Hey man, love your videos, great content, you seem like a really chill guy. Where do I contact u about lessons? Thanks!
I'm God. yup I AM god.

I did come across your video! Solid work CtG. For anyone wondering, check out his channel. He makes good StarCraft 2 content.
When Lowko mentioned that he did research and Karax is a must I thought immediatly of your Video. :)
High Templar feedback could do good, but ht are very gas heavy
The difficulty of this week's mutation mission is significantly higher than we had in months. I'm a big fan of it! What do you think?
LowkoTV I didnt think it would be that hard. I thought power overwhelming would be op, but the rifts should have been really easy, no?
LowkoTV I think that the note in the description of the mutation was not lying. But I consider the choice of Nova here not so good. In my opinion, your friend should play Stukov or Zagara instead. The reason is - they can easily replace their units weaken from enemys' storm of abilities. Also The Swarm counters a swarm of Amon's peasants :^)

LowkoTV if you didn't know as I've not seen you do it, send energisers with your ally to buff them and place them next to your defences and deploy them it will auto buff your defences.
Ofc, Difficulty make the taste of a game way better in most of the case
You keep using your energy to help Nova with fights she would have had on her own (even shooting the static and easily manageable thrashers), and then you don't have any left for rifts that open up on the far end of the map where Nova will not be able to help.
You know it is a really hard mission when the first unit you met is a reaper who send a seeker missile to your probe
2cheeky4me
If the life takes away your grenades, make missiles.
"I've got cannons, Karax! _Cannons!_ Do you even play this game!" -favourite Lowko quote (Lowquote?) of this video
Oh man! Thats fun moment. Clearly Lowko was so frustrated.
Hey Lowko!
Just wanted to let you know that I really appreciate all the work and effort you're putting intro your stream and RUclips. Thank you so much Andreas!
Hey,lowko,ya brougth me back to SC2,thank you so much for this.
Andreas Jacobsen Du er ikke alene som dansker🙈😂😆😆
1. More chronoboost. Super helpful for upgrading. Also, if you have the mastery, it gives you extra energy.
2. Gotta be more efficient with those orbital bombardments. If your ally has units next to them, don't fire.
I like how they called the Mutation Challenge "Especially Challenging."
Abathur/Swann isn't bad. Abathur focuses on spreading creep to spot the nearby rifts, then Swann lasers them down.
You really need that laser drill construction time though.
0:31 I love that change of voice you have when you suddenly realize.
Lowko when using Solar Bombardment on the Rifts:
*Kylo Ren Meme:
"more!"
*Rift dies
"MOOOOREEEEE!!!!!!"
That was a fun mutation, enemies actually put up a fight on brutal for once
Hope you enjoy this madness lowko
Ha! 58 minutes! This will be good *opens a box of chocolates*
Lowko did it in 58 minutes? Well I better clear out all plans for the next 5 hours.
Oh, it will take me a few days for sure.
Lowko how do I submit a replay to you where I get rushed by SCVs?
Done it with Karax on the second attempt on hard difficulty. The instant canons held easily the line on the main base, while the units hunted down the trashers. Not even used upgrades.
hard difficulty, exactly
Das kann auch gesagt werden.
I think Stukov is pretty viable here too as you can move your bunkers around and still keep waves pushing.
A marine hooked your probe and you are filled with determination.
Just like most every mutation since his release Stukov makes this mission far easier than it really should be.
a single carrier floating around on defense would drain the shots on point defense drones. Just a thought for folks.
AND DONT be an idiot (:-P) like lowko, send your observers close, not right on top of voids.
Stukov and Vorazuun mass bunkers + dts and dark archons was not that dificult with that comp :)
I can't tell if I watch these videos for the pro gameplay or your voice....
Brady Smale Why don't we have an announcer for him again? xD
The enemy units can have any abilities right? So can two zerglings morph into an archon if they both happen to have that ability?
I don't think it is _every_ ability just a very large pool.
32:17 it was at that moment, the probe knew he fucked up
After like 60 attempts I finally just beat it. One of the hardest ones for sure. Ran Karax/Nova also. Super down to the wire, killed the last thrasher with like 3 banshees and a couple orbitals while our bases were almost down. What a rush!! Feels good :)

Growing Threat, Shir Chaos and Portal Power, they are by far the hardest!
Indeed!
nice to see your trys.
Just at the beginning he is calling "gl hnf"
Good luck, have (no) fun!? ^^
Just a typo.
^^
Loved it. But maybe provide some filler material at the end to prevent predicting/spoiling?
Beat it on the 2nd try as karax w/ a Zagara ally. I basically used orbital strikes and pylons/defense all around the map (w/ support of observers spread out) and the Zagara ally rushed the thrasher spawning pts. I had to follow w/ a probe building defense on the final push.
Lowko, you should try stukov next time. his mechanic/air units are much stronger than before. take mastery points to mechanic units' attack speed and try!
Karax Zagara is another Great combo on this muta
Yes. I did this as Karax with a Zagara mate and he even went for the Archangel. Kerrigan may be a valid attacker commander too I guess.
If they don't focus her with black hole i guess she can be sort of viable
Lowko is suffering, a rare case indeed
as soon as u got coffee I got coffee lowko!
Imagine all these broken features in professional tournament
I think Karax's energizers would have helped the static defense here.
Pretty sure you can cheese this with zagara + karax. Zagara herself and free banelings can deal with the first thrasher no problem. Unless you are unfortunate enough to meet parasitic bomb and your splitting is terrible; you can just fly around defenses and scourge all the thrashers. Karax fort is strong enough to hold even despite leaving all the rifts alive; with support of zagara herself and the free banelings.
Every time you fail makes me happy inside, not because i hate you (Which I love your vids) but because its so funny
Lowko if you look the Minimap and you kann see creep your enemiy is zerg
well .... that one was amazing
When in doubt, just Artanis + Zagara (or Raynor, actually Raynor is really helpful for matches like this).
Damn that was brutal
Reminds me of Dawn of War III's 16th mission.
I wonder if enemy units will still have abilities if Vorazun's DAs capture them.
played this mutator with a very toxic stukov couple of days ago, spent half the game throwing insults at me even after i've managed to completely secure our bases and spent every energy i have supporting the offense.
i mean what does he expect me to do, send carriers?
on the bright side, i won.
i have a single question why put the shield batteries in front of the cannons? instead of behind?
remembered this annoying one just now the winning pair for me was vorazun and karax invisible static defence makes this very easy and the high dps units of vorazun can do enough damage and even if they cast spells the zerg cant hit what they cant see
i have cannons...CANNONS HAVE U EVER PLAYED THIS GAME 😁😁
oh i dont have forge.... ups....
nice vid again! ty
Deploying the sentries gives them a power field do they don't get disabled. They are a great back up source plus increase attack speed of the static defense :)
Watching it now ain't Zagara + Stukov just perfect for it?
block ramp with vorazun extended range range pylon and karax cannons and just worry about the main push with detectors. The minions dont have detection
*marine voice*
This one'll be good.
Justin Thompson You want a piece of me, boy?
hey lowko you help me whit my day to day Life ty :)
Nova / Karax seems to be the only viable build. You could try to cheese it with Raynor, OC, scan. Just hit objectives. I think you'd get overwhelmed by randos spawning.

Sadly while survival was no issue at all we couldn't quite bring down the thrashers (possibly because we weren't greedy enough with expos) but I'm sure a better player could make it work.
And here I thought Nova shouldn't be used due to the glitch that allows enemies to stun her army.
was fun to watch :) thnx for the tips ;)
Omg that mission is so insane!! GGGG! :)
how coma that ZAGARA massive banes is almost the answer to every mutation ^^
*3 enemy units in sight *
Better use my purifier beam now
Don't you mean reconstruction beam? LUL
daaaaaaaaaaaaaamn that was intense!!!!
Vorazun would own in this mutation.
Can you not chrono boost the solar forge to increase the income of solarite energy?
People pls. Just use nova's ghost emp
Hmm Lowko
Do you know how to disable the F1 help when game (any game)
Done it with Kerri/Stukov. I kept the rifts under control while he was killing the void thrashers. Still close though.
Brutal of course.
We have not enough minerals, boys.
Done this at 20th try. Me Kharax random player Vorazun. Super hard!
You know its hard when Lowko battery dies
I've got a few charged up and ready to go, but sometimes I get really into the game and forget the one recording doesn't last forever. Oops!
I know it's a bit late, but why didn't you just use artanis with archons. They have the feedback ability and since all of the enemies have energy that means they all get effected.
I have to wonder, would High Archons be most effective here? Feedback in addition to a powerful main attack.
Sadly feedback is most useful for picking off a few dedicated casters rather than a billion zerglings with energy for one spell each.
I hope Blizz will give us more mutations at this level of difficulty, loved this. Good game :D.
Were you the Azure allied with Lowko?
Yup that's me ^^ .
Azure Do you have gameplay for weekly mutation? Would be awesome to have gameplay from both lowko and you. Your plays is very impressive, on many mutation, you carried lowko hard!
Ah, not really I didn't record my point of view, I did have to micro my ass off xD. I'll talk about it with Lowko and we'll see :o.
That would nice if you record. Cause I believe many viewers agree with me that your play is very good!
it seems what matter is where the rifts appear at. if early 1~2 rifts appears inside void thrasher's base, it would be unbeatable..
I have cleared this mutation by stukov + kerrigan. in the beginning, kerrigan destroyed the rifts around and middle/later of the game, stukov' diamondbacks did. once you have cleared rift ASAP, this mutation will be much easier. (though, it is hard one because of "power overwhelming" :(
oh hey i played with azure a couple days ago
Artanis: Chargelot+Pheonix+tempest and Stukov
1:54 How come lowko has coronavirus floating in the background. So the super hard mission is to fight COVID-19? Even the power of zeratul might not be a match.
Will you ever do custom mutation vids?
I Wonder if Doing the Bonus is Even possible, this one is so hard
Chrono the colony for faster waves of infested. It helps a lot.
anyone else screaming in their heads USE THE CHRONOSURGE when they were pushing the last 4 thrashers?
But does he even have the bonus energy while boosting?
I haven't played co-op in such a long time but i feel that swann is better at defense especially his drill after upgrade? Not sure if is he still viable? i hope he is, i only have him maxed :(
I don't think he is better necessarily as those free global repairs are sick but he is probably a viable option. Especially since he can switch into thors lategame where Karax would be limited to spear of adun support.
2:35 good luck, have no fun.
those planetary defense? can`t block monolith you know
i thought of Stukov for it
Feedback the thrasher! Drop assault!
Immortals with vessel shield... pure cancer xD
I thought instead of nova, abathur might be a good pick because there would be so much bio mass from all the kills.
Units are spawned from the rifts do not drop biomass.
I did not know that. that is lame.
Until this comment, no one has beat this mutation on brutal playing as Abathur. It is not a coincidence.
they ought to ban spear of adun from these challenges. so cheese.
Hey Lowko do you actually play the game at 4K or do you upload an upscaled video?
Everything is played, recorded and uploaded in proper 4k, 3840*2160 resolution. No upscaling.
BRING YOUR BASE , ATTACK IS A BEST DEFENSE
think raynor would have been better than karax since they shut down pylons though the spear of adun powers might be to strong to not have pretty sure i would fail hard no matter what commander i picked xD
camera ran out you have to do it again it doesnt count
Why do u not get any units
power overwhelming, even the starcraft developers are using cheat codes....
the developers designed the cheat code ;)
Koland Mak thanks cap;-)
Spider marine!
can you chrono boost a turet
