Considering the hydralisk's spines can pierce neo-steel and whatever it is the protoss have, the fact that the hydralisk, and the marine model as well, was overpowered in warcraft 3 made sense.
I really should've just made Lurkers this game to zone the Glaive Throwers out, and shoulda scouted the other base much earlier. Mistakes all around, lol. This was a fun match though.

In WC3, Night Elves are the ranged race, they have very few melee units, and they conversely see farther at night whereas everyone else's vision is reduced at night. The female NE units can shadowmeld at night as well, they stand still and can't move or attack, but they're invisible at-will. Their moonwells also only regenerate mana at night, but will auto heal/restore mana to injured or low mana units nearby unless autocast is off. Druids of the Claw only transform into bears, becoming NE main T3 melee unit. Druids of the Talon turn into storm crows, which have good ATA attacks, although you mainly use them for cyclone. Mountain Giants were introduced in The Frozen Throne to offset a bit of NE fragility, it can taunt nearby units to attack it instead, it has high armor and magic resistance, and if it picks up a tree, it's normal attack turns into a siege attack for like 12 attacks before the tree gets worn out.
theres no tree in this map tho. it would be nice if they added a map from warcraft so that heroes could use their ability fully, but that would be too unfair (reffering to KoTG)
what this mod lacks is starcraft heroes, tavern for wc3 neutral heroes and maybe starcaftz neutral heroes, also neutral item shops. It's awesome either way.

I get why sc2 heroes may be out of the question but would be fun at least ( maybe as a lategame option without level to somewhat keep up with lvl 10 wc3 heroes). But wc3 races definitly need neutral shops and tavern heroes at least.
6:45 to be more accurate, they've met something like that before, crypt fiend, but they're not nearly as agile as roaches (unless the undead hero is involved)
Night Elf picked the hero whose primary attack skill turns trees into warriors but there are no trees. Any other hero would have been ideal. Yes he gets area heal at end but these games are gonna be pretty quick. Items have area heal also. There's also no trees for his buildings to eat to heal. He didn't get the hero out too fast and wasn't out farming levels for it so picking late game heal hero was rough. Could have kited with archer tiger hero and her late game shooting star aoe damage would have wrecked. Or immediately gotten aoe damage skill with blades hero, and could have farmed with her and she can literally teleport away and also use hide at night unlike tree druid hero. She can literally double cast tele or wait to get surrounded, aoe blades and tele away. But he picked hero who cant summon trees. I also wonder how the corpse function will work for undead Necromancers. Do enemy units leave behind corpses? No StarCraft units will have dispel so mass necro would be quit good, except against like ultras or colossi but necro upgrades turn many of them into ranged dps as well. Its fairly similar to summon infested marine they took away because its just energy for units, but you do need corpses as well. And did they leave power build for humans? Can you take 30 workers and speed build a structure? Can you super fast expand? I've yet to see anyone build an item building and start dropping aoe heals, i wonder if its still a function. The warcraft units are so slow though i feel like you would get stuck base trading a lot if opponent just decides to move around.
Hoarding 2k+ gold? keeping upkeep low? stopping worker production midway through second base saturation and never taking more than two bases at a time? classic W3 player behavior. Great game!

Undeads are really good but their defense is too strong (their cristal worker unit is simultanously 1st grade infantry unit kinda like Zealots mining minerals its hard to harass them and even harder as a Starcraft race) and their expansion harder to achieve.

wc3 races should def have a 100 pop cap, as they do in the game. They were balanced for it. Plus pop cap has 3 tiers in WC3, no upkeep ( 100 % gold ) -> low upkeep ( 70% gold ) -> high upkeep ( 40% gold ONLY FROM mining ) !!

Also fun fact: Starcraft was originally supposed to be a Warhammer 40k game, but a dispute between Blizzard and Games Workshop happened, and Blizzard had to ditch the idea of WH40k game and convert it into the SC we know today. Thats why the zerg look like tyrranids.
I did a test run to make sure it ran well on my PC, it's a sick game so far! I remember reading up on that, maybe it was for the best since SC turned into such a legendary RTS franchise - you can tell it's very inspired by WH40k nonetheless, I think covering Space Marine 2 would be a fun project!

The hero "gholbine" is just his name, we call him keeper of the grove, keeper for short. And yes mob camps at expo and other interesting places do exist, cuz that's how heroes in Warcraft creep and get exp to lvl up. Max lvl you can get from creep is 5. And the counter to mountain giants is literally to just ignore them and go for the other units, they are slow and deal no dmg
Since their basic infantry unit is a cheap ranged attacker and they don’t have to place buildings in any kind of special zone created by creep tumors or pylons, I would personally classify the NE as being like Terrans with some Zerg vibes.
Someone just doesn't know how to play them. During the entire match, not once did the player use the bears' healing. I also didn't see the store being actively used.

Basic WC3 things (might wanna read up on it) Disabled attacks means the unit got two modes (Ancient Protector can Uproot to be a unit, which is a melee unit, Mountain Giant picks up tree to use as club for a few hits) Ghalibe is actually a Keeper of Nature. A hero that is great at locking down a unit or two, and give some extra bodies to a army from highest level from Force of Nature (Summon Treants, mid health low damage) All factions got the "upgrade main building" like zerg for their higher techs. Which leads to a higher need to protect your base. Base amount of food is 100, not 200. The WC3 player had a x2 larger army. There was a second hero, the white tiger lady, priestess of the moon. A ranged DPS hero. Heroes can get +2 and up to like +60 attack if luck is on your side. As mobs drop items. Heroes levels up and get stronger as they are in battles (do not even need last hits) Wisps do not "cut trees" they harvest trees by "swishing around it" and mining it indefinately, at half base rate. I think those are the big things you got wrong. Thing is the basis for WC3 versus SC2 is so different. WC3 each unit is A LOT more important and having only normally 12 unit select limit on it is not as much of a pressure situation. Like ALL units got a lot higher stats than any SC2 base units... except I guess Zealot but I am unsure how well Zealots would do against most base units from WC3 (Footmen, Archer, Grunt and Ghoul). But it leads to it being easier to try and keep all units alive as all races got some way to heal their units... Like I feel you get a LOT more bang for your buck with WC3 than SC2 units if they got normal stats...
How would Banelings do against the Night Elves, I wonder? Also a good Viper pull against a hero or one of the giants @19:30 might have swung that fight.
and here i am jumping the gun commenting the 2v2 that happened in my recommends when you already have a NE vs Z match though i think Undead is a better match up vs Zerg

Honestly, all the items and mercs is what drove me away from WC3. I prefer it simpler.

Brood War vs WC3 is already a thing, there are Korean channels with casted games. Dark Archons and Arbiters are particularly powerful against WC3.

in the warcraft campaign hes Cenarius the first hero that we saw

but against ling and with thorns its actually pretty viable.

Ghalibe is actually a Keeper of Nature. A hero that is great at locking down a unit or two, and give some extra bodies to a army from highest level from Force of Nature (Summon Treants, mid health low damage)
All factions got the "upgrade main building" like zerg for their higher techs. Which leads to a higher need to protect your base.
Base amount of food is 100, not 200. The WC3 player had a x2 larger army.
There was a second hero, the white tiger lady, priestess of the moon. A ranged DPS hero.
Heroes can get +2 and up to like +60 attack if luck is on your side. As mobs drop items. Heroes levels up and get stronger as they are in battles (do not even need last hits)
Wisps do not "cut trees" they harvest trees by "swishing around it" and mining it indefinately, at half base rate.
I think those are the big things you got wrong. Thing is the basis for WC3 versus SC2 is so different. WC3 each unit is A LOT more important and having only normally 12 unit select limit on it is not as much of a pressure situation. Like ALL units got a lot higher stats than any SC2 base units... except I guess Zealot but I am unsure how well Zealots would do against most base units from WC3 (Footmen, Archer, Grunt and Ghoul). But it leads to it being easier to try and keep all units alive as all races got some way to heal their units... Like I feel you get a LOT more bang for your buck with WC3 than SC2 units if they got normal stats...
