Thank you guys for watching. If you guys want a signed print for your wall I print all of them myself from my large format Canon printer larrychenprints.com/
Insane build. One of the best I've ever seen at a Gridlife, and done so fast on such a tight budget. One of the best, if not the best, road race Hondas of all time. If you haven't seen in person, you literally must.
7 months ago I came across this channel, started watching Larry's videos for hours. Moved from south africa back to my home country Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 now im getting bookings and shooting race, spinning cars and stance car show....all with an entry level Canon 70D and sigma 18-200mm Larry you inspired me🙏🙏 Sometimes I tell people "call me the Larry of Zim" 🤣🤣
Old Civics that are built like this have a special places in my heart. It's more than just its good features, but rather, I've got a lots of memories with old Civics especially during my childhood. We used to own an EK many years ago and my dad usually drove that car occasionally. Everytime I ride on that thing, I'm really happy not just of the sound of the exhaust and all, but the feeling of riding with it, it makes me comfortable and I couldn't explain why and how even tho it's just your normal econocrapbox. I was literally 6 - 8 years old during that time and yeah, best memories I've got with that car. Yes, sure you could get a proper track ready vehicle like Porsche 911 GT3 which is really cool and one of my dream supercar that I wish I could get someday, but building your own track-prepped vehicle hits really different. Sure that old Hondas like this guy has isn't really fast or some ort of supercar level or kind of like Supra/Skyline GTR level but it's not always about stats. It's all about how you're connected with your favorite vehicle, how you wanna build it and suit it to your own style and personal taste. It's all about the amount of passion and dedication that you're putting to your toy!! As a genuine old Civic enthusiast (specifically EKs or EK9 Type R), everytime I'd encounter a proper built old school Hondas, I do always get excited and it really makes me my day complete. I genuinely love this touring car build on this thing. Also, these kinds of builds are kinda resembles to Kanjozoku Civic Culture which are mostly track/touring car look for the streets and I'm a biggest fan of those. Hopefully I could the same kind build like this guy has someday. Thanks again, Larry!!! Contents like this are truly a work of art!!!
Brings back memories. I had a red 94' Civic Dx Coupe with 16x7 wheels, Neuspeed race spings, Tokico HD struts and a Greddy cat back exhaust. Simple and clean. My wife was t-boned by a E350 Ford van while driving it. Car was totaled but still ran.
I must repeat: This car is amazing. Somehow I feel like losing the EG was a universal push for him to do something like this. Great Builder, super stoked to see him back up in this mix!
EJ1 would be a 5th gen coupe with a sunroof, an EX in the USA or an SI in Canada. This Sedan in the video would be an EG8. Useless Honda facts in my head.
Just get used to it, not worth the breath to say it. Everyone says ef,eg,ek because it’s jdm. I don’t care, I just like Honda civics, specifically hatchbacks. S2000’s, and NSX’s as well.
@@StudentDriverBR it’s 4th to 6th in the VIN number. For the 5th gen civics there are 15 codes worldwide I believe, and 3 more for the del sol. The code almost always tells you the body style and engine, unless it’s an EJ6 that could be a 2, 3 or 4dr.
This car reminds me so much of my 93 eg9 B16 DOHC VTEC SIR. Great job with build.... These kind of builds make me regret ever selling my cars because they were dirt cheap in the mid to late 90s and early 2000s.
It was so funny talking with Eric during that "showcase" thing we were in. It was literally designed to just show the cars off and him and I both didn't hear the "this doesn't count for anything" and went hard as hell. He almost wadded it up and I destroyed my tires. To funny. So happy to see this car getting the love it deserves!
I remember meeting Eric Kutil at a house party back in columbus years ago when he was at Honda. Super chill guy and he had a lot of knowledge and passion that he was always willing to share when it came to cars. Its nice to see him take off down this route in life and that hes doing well! Cheers! -Brian Burnett
very cool! I'm a huge fan of BTCC but the JTCC was also epic. Glad people are making builds mirroring those build philosophy. lots of great engineering in this car.
Watching Eric hatch build & racing from his IG posting and other social media platforms. Then the painful destruction of the hatch itself was gut wrenching to see... However as I own 2 older Civic sedans myself, his latest creation and version of modern (JGTCC/DTM) style build has me even motivated to work on my sedans!!! Great to see him come back to track even better!
I love this car I have a four-door and they are super underappreciated even by myself personally because I still desire and e.g. hatch but because I had a four-door I went down the same train of thought as Eric cause I also love JGTC he didn’t do much of a build video so I really appreciate you featuring it…. The Ford doors are going really hard in the Philippines though and I believe anyone in the states building four doors now are ahead of the trend because eventually low cost and high-availability compared to the other Civic platforms are going to make the four-door a thing
I feel what you’re saying but the 4 door (ferio) wave in the states hit like 15 years ago. Perhaps appreciation from the next gen in on the ups though.
exactly my thoughts... EG hatches will go down as future classics... these 4doors will live on as racers because most of them arent appreciated enough, and may have lower monetary value.. but are essentially makes them great platforms for those who want race on these gen
Saw Eric and his dad where involved in a crash on the way home, with the car on a trailer just today.. God bless they are okay ! The car a little less.. Great vid off the car larry🙏🏻
In South Africa 🇿🇦 Mercedes Benz dressed up EG Hondas with AMG kit and they also did the Honda EG Ballade 180e( inline with Benz 190e and so on) it came with integra B18B3 drove one for 2yrs it was to powerful my old aunt. That's when I fell inlove with Honda , this year Honda jazz GE manual ( R18 motor) and Honda CBR 400 is loading ❤️🇿🇦
IAM restoring my integra LS and I believe in touring car calcher I truly think you i lieve eight hours from mid Ohio blessed you i would love to be there
Dude… I’m so Srry bro. I’ve been watching a lot of your videos, love and enjoy your content. I seen this video, clicked to view and then I noticed I wasn’t subscribed.. WTH! Again Srry. I instantly hit subscribed 👍
I hope to run into Larry one day with my vq swapped kh3 ser spec v sentra. When it's finished. 2400lb 4 door. That could tickle 400whp na. With a idle like a cammed Ls.
I want an EG civic. I want to build a ricer with a full sexy anime waifu wrap on it, but with all the serious hardware underneath. Just make a total frankenstein track beast/weeb transport.
I dont understand this class never heard of it (dont follow touring car) are all the cars limited to a Hp level. This seems low power to compete with corvettes etc

As the only person to have attended Every gridlife event ever i speak from self appointed authority lol.
Great build. World class

#facts…coming from a previous ej1 owner who always had to fight the same battle lol

EJ EG etc what are those letters? It's part of the chassis number like the Trueno and Corolla with the AE85/86/88?
I miss my ej1 😞

This guy is an inspiration. I was following the whole build on his ig. Attention to details, top quality build!

Lmao, good times haha! Send meter at full ha
I followed Eric building this via his instagram and I am so in awe of how well it came out. He absolutely killed it with the build and it's amazing.
Thanks buddy, I appreciate it!

Yooo, Eric Kutil is the man!
So stoked to see you cover his car (again, after the hatch a few years ago)
Awesome to see this guy back on the horse! Great Driver, builder, and guy overall!
I forgot about Eric Kutil. I remember seeing videos of that little Civic ripping around the track. Such awesome stuff
This channel should have so many more views.
In love with this! My first car was this exact model 5speed in dark blue. Such a great car
Yes Larry I saw that 911 too she looked sick in those colours. 😎🇬🇧✌👍👊
Been following Eric and his eg build prior to plandemic... Madman behind the wheel...!!! 💪🏻💪🏻
Thanks bro!
Great video as always Larry, but that is an EG8 not an EJ1 👍
Ahhh the good ole days.. this gives 🎶Motown feelings back again… abc, cvcc. 🎶
I love that he kept the super rare Ferio brake light!
Haha it was a gift from a buddy
I used to watch the Touring Car races back in the day, I always wanted to build one
awesome car. I love the Touring Car Sedan style. Just bought a TSX to do kind of a 'street touring car' build myself.
I was standing at that turn when you went full lock…. Literally the gnarlyist drift all weekend , and I was there with the drifters .
I love you lary! I’ve been waiting for you to feature this car. Totally great car and build!
Watching Eric hatch build & racing from his IG posting and other social media platforms. Then the painful destruction of the hatch itself was gut wrenching to see... I am sooo happy for him. Sounds like such a great dude
12:34 Ben recording the hatch on the back hahahahahah
The EJ I always wanted while owning a '92 DX 1.5 liter. So sick!
Love Jtcc Honda’s but the Honda Accord Jtcc blew my mind the first time I Learn about its accolades even the 4door Honda’s are fast but very fast 😂
Saw Eric and his dad where involved in a crash on the way home, with the car on a trailer just today..
God bless they are okay ! The car a little less..
Great vid off the car larry🙏🏻
It's got the Super touring look off the BTCC frm the 2000s. Like it... 😎🇬🇧✌👍👊

😂 Hell yeah Eric… yeah it’s counterintuitive to build a four-door car but that’s why I built it!!! 🎉 yesssss
I like to be different ha!
All we build for our race cars are sedans. Makes access to the rear much easier for fuel cell service etc.
eric put this together in few months was crazy
Been waiting on this video
I thought the thumbnail was out of Gran Turismo but its just that good
Great vid as usual Larry. But an EJ1 is the coupe with eg front end
I grew up with Erik in nyc i remember when he wanted to build a saab 900 dudes come a long way since then
Awesome build!
It looks like a proper 90s Super Touring car too
I follow Eric for a while I can said he its the best driver the I see around killing over there
i wish this was an ej1 but love the sedans regardless
This build is amazing.... I might buy an eg sedam just to build something like this. I'd keep the ride height close to stock since I'll daily it
IAM restoring my integra LS and I believe in touring car calcher I truly think you i lieve eight hours from mid Ohio blessed you i would love to be there
Nicely done!!!👏
Larry for King 🤴 of car content 👌🏾 💯💯

I really wish Eric had a RUclips channel
❤❤❤ love the entire setup
HybridRacing all day !!😎
amazing car build .the Honda have benn re-imagen ...like stinger :)
He needs to rock the ferio badge.
My dream build minus the livery, he did it the way I wanted to do my sedan when I had it.
eg sedans are so slept on
I hope to run into Larry one day with my vq swapped kh3 ser spec v sentra. When it's finished. 2400lb 4 door. That could tickle 400whp na. With a idle like a cammed Ls.
The eg hatch and the sedan are almost the same weight, door on the hatch are stupid heavy compared to a sedan doors I notice when I owned mine.
kutil in czech language means handy man, so true
Hey there from Greece, awesome set up. Can i ask you about the suspension set up?
Hmm.... surprised. Thought the btcc and jtcc ran the cars at stock ride height and ran big front air dam/splitter and big side skirts.
OMFGGGGGGGG the NSX on regas in the bg, MOISTTTTT!
great Story... but LOVE the Car porn perv at 26:20 kek
Remembering dany yamato civic..
Such a cool car.
You need a Bridgemoto JTCC steering wheel to complete the look
Insane!
maybe ask neuspeed for tips? they made there own Supertouring accord
Please...this is not EJ1...EJ1 is coupe model...this is EG9 or EG8...
Really like your videos Larry but the audio is poor and it’s hard to listen without getting a headache.
I think all the cars driving past us was the problem. Had to talk louder than normal
Pigs impounded My cd5 Accord DX 5spd Coupe on 18's. Project Car. Now I gotta catch it at auction.
I wish i can do this for my honda
Making me want to build a Honda
I want an EG civic. I want to build a ricer with a full sexy anime waifu wrap on it, but with all the serious hardware underneath. Just make a total frankenstein track beast/weeb transport.
center seat next year?
Fuck yeaaa
That's not a EJ1 but I sure wish it was 😅
Glad to be the 1st to open ❤
Camera guy is just pushing it lol 😂 swear ☠️
10:50 what does he mean by R6 transmission?
Rsx type s transmission
gotta remove the oil pan and lower the engine
Lol who needs oil pans
@@EricKutilRacing ATpower K20/K24 - Integrated Dry Sump System / Belt Driven Dry Sump System
Is this a reupload?
This car is not EJ1, is EG8!!
The stacked line up of cars in the background was epic
I came here to find out if that is a fake mugen lip ON TOP of another fake mugen lip
I dont understand this class never heard of it (dont follow touring car) are all the cars limited to a Hp level. This seems low power to compete with corvettes etc
First
My favorite racing in the 90's.
this car needs shortened spindles
Eg sedans only look good when they look like the JTCC versions. If you’re gonna do it, you gotta make it look like this.
Awesome build!!!
