@tylerlewis8478 yeah for sure, ive been looking for bikes like that but in mine country theres very little ammount of those, mostly they have "new top end" but its just a lie, ive bought clapped sx85 that suposedly had a new top end and shit was clapped, after 2 rides didnt run
The Athena cylinder has the studs rearranged to get rid of the hot spot over the powervalves. Phatheads will fit the Athena cylinders and updates the coolant hose location to the 2005+ setup. Let me know if you want some goodies to go on this bike.
I am following your channel for over a year now and love the format of your videos. Recently I started uploading the progress of my old Yamaha XT600 rebuild. Your channel is a great inspiration for me!
That’s the old days prices for me here in atl atleast, I used to buy and sell old strokes all the time but ever since covid roached bikes that used to be 5-800$ are now $2,000 plus and not worth it to rebuild, great job on the budget build tho love seeing these
Love a bike revival. Been working on a clapped DR 250 for the last 9 months and its finally coming together. Your videos are always a huge motivation! Really like when you do bikes like this as its very realistic and still turned out freaking amazing.
Great video and great points at the end, reviving them and bringing them back to proper functioning machines to be enjoyed for another life is special itself.
Great build, these are closer to most of us in terms of refreshing a retired un-usable bike. Looks great. Merry Christmas and we'll see you in the new year!
Kincade, you have done a bang up job on this one! While it might not be perfect, it does look good. Now that bike has another opportunity to go out and play!! Well done, Sir.
Thanks for the vids in 24! I found your channel in early 2024 when I was doing some bike work on my first bike since I was 14 (I’m 22 now lol) back then my old man did the bike work and I was just the rider 🤣 watching your vids helped me gain a ton of confidence when it came to tearing my bike apart and putting it back together, merry Christmas to you and yours and I can’t wait to see what you have planned for 25! Cheers 🤘
I have an Athena with a messed up cylinder but the power valve and head are good that I could have sent you so glad to hear you read my comments to get the cr 500 I’m building a Kx 500 myself but I’m sure it won’t compare to your cr also you should take the panthera 600 to silverkings
Another great Video Kincade...this is the type of builds I did when I was flipping bikes for extra money...not evry build is worth spending all the time and money to make it Factory level...Often a good safe and reliable build is all that's needed. I look forward to your CR500 build as that probably is worth all the Extras. 🙂👍
Man how i would love this bike, I figured I wouldn’t get the 85 because its too small for me. Im sure you saw my video on why I want a dirtbike. I also left out that i want to get into mx. Please please keep me in mind, I have no starting place for a bike and I think this will be great. My parents ride motorcycles so they will teach me how to use a clutch. I will be on high alert for your next yz 125 video!
That's another great build but for all the work you put through don't short yourself by not putting in a new set of reeds... That cheap check valve makes a big difference in the operation of two-stroke ❤
I've got a 2000 YZ125 that I paid $750 for earlier this year. I have had zero time to even start tearing it down. I want to fo yellow/black but it's looking more like it's going to stay blue/white.
I bought a blown 01 YZ250 for 1300$, found out the swing arm was from a 98 or older model, same with the front brake master cylinder, and it was missing alot
Hey Kincade I recently got my first project Bike a 1998 CR 80 expert, I’m rebuilding it and I figured out the problem was the piston ring was the wrong size I had a ring gap of .11 when I need a gap of .075, how do I do the measurement to be able to find the correct ring size I need
Awesome video, I bought a $600 2000 yz125 to revive a while back, sold it and made some profit, but those are definitely some quirky bikes.
Awsome
how much did u spend to just get it running?
@@Enduroamator it came in a bunch of parts, but I put it all together and it miraculously ran. Definitely a gold mine for bikes like that

As soon as you said CR 500, I was hooked. Dream bike
Oh the things i would do for a steel framed YZ125 😍 hopefully i can pick one up myself sometime soon

I just bought a 05 yz125 fully race ready and i love that my favourite rider/builder is making content on it at the same time as i got mine.

Awesome build
Need to find myself a smoker to fix
Bonus points for the blow torch usage and the Pryme guards. RIP Cam ❤
Fantastic refresh man! Enjoy your Christmas!
Looks good I’m building a 2001 wr250f that was left open for years and had rust in the motor

I got a yz250f to build and it will be my very first bike once I get it completed. Just wish everything wasn’t so darn expensive
Happy Holidays Kincade
Post number 59 of trying to convince kincade to do a subscriber rebuild 🎉🎉🎉 also third 😂
Awesome rebuild man

Can't wait for the cr500!!
Should do a throwback kit with it since you already have the white graphics
There's so much info on ThumperTalk you don't even have to bother looking elsewhere.
Where did you get the wolf zip hoodie?
Someone left it at a party in college 9 years ago 😂
@@KincadePavich😂 can't beat a freebie!
Hello from Greece 🇬🇷 brother 🇬🇷
At 16:05 you show a clip of the subframe and it looks cracked on the left side
Looks like the paint but I could be wrong.
@ I’ve had a couple subframes crack in those exact spots and it would be weird for the paint to crack like that but I could be wrong
So pumped for the cr500
I might have to invest in that tool box 🔥🔥
Have a merry Christmas broheim, hit some trails while your down there
hi kincade I love watching your video's IM 12 years old and rebuilding my 06 85sx After I blowe it up
kincade when we getting an atc250r build??
I never knew how much HP a YZ125 had, i have a Chinese 150 and it has 11 hp, such a big difference 🤯
The Chinese bikes are pieces of shit with no power and scrappy handling
While your in Arizona you can fix my bike too
I love your vids kincade!
I'm heading to California tomorrow morning for Christmas maybe we'll see each other on the road
hey how much would you want for it just wondering
Merry Christmas cade
Love it!
I would say just repack that pipe because that’s way to loud for it to not be loaded up with oil and stuff😂
Awesome video marry Christmas
Where can I check my vin nummber
the motor is the same 95-04. its just the pipe that needs addressing
Potentially turn it into a yz144

Love your videos kid
Id be willing to bet one of your followers have the capability to make you a new spacer
Im from nc i got a clapped yz85 brung her back , now looking for a steal 125 like this …..
Quick TIP!!
in order to remove glue residue, u can just use gas, pour a bit all over the zone, and then just rub it out
What happened to the 1200 dollar yz250?
I sold it
Why do ppl like the steel frame yz125 so much to restore ? Aren’t parts a lil higher
Bro, clapped out bikes in my area go for like 3500$ cant find any good deals out here :(
White airbox 2001

Second
Man the plain white plastics look so sick! I'm probably in the minority, but I've never been a fan of restyle kits.
Day one or asking to biy this bike for 850
Never gonna happen lol
Day one commenting until you respond
