Since then I've revisited Madden at bargain prices here and there (2018 2019 2020) to see these positives I should be looking for. However the results are as I've stated above new stuff that is expected from yearly upgrades nothing fans are actually begging for and nothing groundbreaking in the graphics/physics department here.

Madden had this feature back in Madden 01-02. Which ever Madden had Team Ecko is the one. It was called “Go to Guy”. When on offense while at the playcall screen you press O on PS2 / B on XBox.
This is what happens when you alienate and get over on your customers for a decade +. I dont think EA can do anything at this point to salvage their image with NFL Football games, the damage is done. The NFL should really consider allowing 2K Sports to make a full fledged football game within the next year or two. EA needs to focus on rebranding themselves because Ryan is right, not only does EA need a new physics system, they have no passion for the NFL. They are in it for the money and nothing else, hence the lack of effort. So, for the sake of the 21st century and NEXT Gen consoles they really should CONCEDE 😊 and allow other developers to make an NFL Game.
When I saw the trailer on IG, I was thinking the same thing. The NFL should just let EA know they aren’t going to do another exclusive contract with them again. I can only hope so. When i hear coaches aren't in the game it blows my mind because i still play Madden 12 and they have head coaches, offensive & defensive coordinators, and a special teams coach. Even back to Madden 08 to my knowledge (i haven't played 06-07 & I forgot if 05 had coaches)

I play madden 14 and thinking about finally upgrading but you're videos convince me to wait. Cool add on idea that will never happen; players have chemistry and if you don't involve them in games or just have beef with players or coaches their abilities decrease. Trades/trading block, can make your fans/players upset and ask for your firing. Fans can like or dislike players effecting fan turnout.
It's the same game with some "next gen stat" overlays instead of next gen gameplay and improvements. That's why they sell gameplay with close up shots of players instead of gameplay or a far out shot. They know they have a bad product.

That’s another thing that kills me that you mentioned.( Browns blowing out the ravens) You’ll play a season on franchise mode and you’ll have the browns going undefeated. The cowboys blowing people out, The jets winning 10+ games. I know “any given Sunday” but there has to be a way to show teams inconsistency and choke jobs with madden.We see all the time. Not gonna lie, seeing my screenshot of NFL Head Coach 09 with players coming back as position coaches was a good surprise. Honored to finally contribute something to your channel after over a decade of knowing you. Should point out that the screenshot is indeed from Head Coach 09, which is now 12 years old. Also, Derrick Brooks did indeed become a linebacker coach for the Saints in that screenshot from before the 2011-12 offseason. He just replaced a guy that became a defensive coordinator on another team after being fired. For people that want a good game, just buy Head Coach 09 on PS3 or 360. You'll have a good time.

So I just watched a dudes video playing madden and his opponent was the patriots. He does a no huddle and then does some kind of audible where the julian eddleman and the left guard switch position. But here's the thing, the left guard had his hand down, then moves to wide receiver. That's a penalty. Once an offensive lineman puts his hand on the ground, he can't pick it back up and move.
Dynamic weather sounds pretty cool to me, if it means it can start or stop raining/snowing at any point of the game, or even be off and on through out. I've found the weather effects a lot more of the gameplay in Madden than say MLB the Show. But I haven't played The Show in 2 years, and even then it was only for 30 hours or so.

I want to be able to hire and fire REAL coaches and not just offensive and defensive coordinators (but that'd be a nice start, wouldn't it?) but also position coaches like you pointed to.

I don’t care about graphics EA, I care that you have fans in the stands at full capacity even though no stadium has 100% fans in the stands this year!!
I care that the players on the sideline look like trash during gameplay, unless it’s that stupid animation of a defense player running up to a teammate on the bench, and pointing to the Jumbotron for no reason at all!!!
I care about the coach doing absolutely nothing on the sideline except lifting his fist up if something good happens regardless of if his team is winning or getting blown out!!!
I care about the Microsoft tablets on the sideline showing a non moving picture of the same game every time with teams you’re not even using.

Madden had this feature back in Madden 01-02. Which ever Madden had Team Ecko is the one. It was called “Go to Guy”. When on offense while at the playcall screen you press O on PS2 / B on XBox.

This is what happens when you alienate and get over on your customers for a decade +. I dont think EA can do anything at this point to salvage their image with NFL Football games, the damage is done. The NFL should really consider allowing 2K Sports to make a full fledged football game within the next year or two. EA needs to focus on rebranding themselves because Ryan is right, not only does EA need a new physics system, they have no passion for the NFL. They are in it for the money and nothing else, hence the lack of effort. So, for the sake of the 21st century and NEXT Gen consoles they really should CONCEDE 😊 and allow other developers to make an NFL Game.

When I saw the trailer on IG, I was thinking the same thing. The NFL should just let EA know they aren’t going to do another exclusive contract with them again. I can only hope so. I love football & watch it, but for the kids and people who just like playing sports video games?.. For people like me who have been playing Madden since madden 02.. I will not be buying madden 21 next gen, I’ll just wait for madden 22 because I’m a big franchise mode player

What I will never understand is brand loyalty. The second corporations started behaving as though they were the victim of circumstance we as consumers started to sympathize. It doesn’t make any sense because yes while they are made up of people we’re not buying into people we are buying a product and the product is trash there should be no brand loyalty. It should stop there. If you want to buy into a person, support a kickstarter. If you want a good product, spend your money on the best product end of story.

When i hear coaches aren't in the game it blows my mind because i still play Madden 12 and they have head coaches, offensive & defensive coordinators, and a special teams coach. Even back to Madden 08 to my knowledge (i haven't played 06-07 & I forgot if 05 had coaches)

I play madden 14 and thinking about finally upgrading but you're videos convince me to wait. Cool add on idea that will never happen; players have chemistry and if you don't involve them in games or just have beef with players or coaches their abilities decrease. Trades/trading block, can make your fans/players upset and ask for your firing. Fans can like or dislike players effecting fan turnout.
It's the same game with some "next gen stat" overlays instead of next gen gameplay and improvements. That's why they sell gameplay with close up shots of players instead of gameplay or a far out shot. They know they have a bad product.

The no franchise change in New gen is unacceptable!!!!!!! That’s another thing that kills me that you mentioned.( Browns blowing out the ravens) You’ll play a season on franchise mode and you’ll have the browns going undefeated. The cowboys blowing people out, The jets winning 10+ games. I know “any given Sunday” but there has to be a way to show teams inconsistency and choke jobs with madden.We see all the time. Teams stacked with talent cant get a winning record. Example, THE COWBOYS AND THE BROWNS.
FYI you can hire retired superstars as coaches in NHL 20 & 21. Smaller dev team and smaller budget than Madden and still a better product
Not gonna lie, seeing my screenshot of NFL Head Coach 09 with players coming back as position coaches was a good surprise. Honored to finally contribute something to your channel after over a decade of knowing you.
Should point out that the screenshot is indeed from Head Coach 09, which is now 12 years old. Also, Derrick Brooks did indeed become a linebacker coach for the Saints in that screenshot from before the 2011-12 offseason. He just replaced a guy that became a defensive coordinator on another team after being fired.
For people that want a good game, just buy Head Coach 09 on PS3 or 360. You'll have a good time.

So I just watched a dudes video playing madden and his opponent was the patriots. He does a no huddle and then does some kind of audible where the julian eddleman and the left guard switch position. But here's the thing, the left guard had his hand down, then moves to wide receiver. That's a penalty. Once an offensive lineman puts his hand on the ground, he can't pick it back up and move.
Dynamic weather sounds pretty cool to me, if it means it can start or stop raining/snowing at any point of the game, or even be off and on through out.
I've found the weather effects a lot more of the gameplay in Madden than say MLB the Show. But I haven't played The Show in 2 years, and even then it was only for 30 hours or so.
Thank you, Ryan. I don't know how EA doesn't understand that they should essentially install NFL Head Coach's depth into their Franchise mode. I want to be able to hire and fire REAL coaches and not just offensive and defensive coordinators (but that'd be a nice start, wouldn't it?) but also position coaches like you pointed to.
I remember the old Sega Genesis Madden gave us all the old teams and the best team was Chicago 85
