It's not the people working there, it's the higher ups putting out a cheap game that makes money on its name. No one is building this from the ground up. It's a shell every year that gets repainted or flipped over and we're told it's new.
First, I love your objective commentary Ryan. I don’t find it “unfairly negative”. I find it true and factual. I was one of those people who would often just buy a Madden game simply because I love the game of football… I knew the game wasn’t good, or worth the money I was paying for it, but since it was the only option to play “simulated” NFL football I would buy anyway…. This year is the first year in 10ish years I’m making the conscious decision NOT to buy this game. It’s to the point where it’s almost disrespectful - the state in which this game is released in. I can’t overlook it anymore. It’s sad because I, like so many others, love the game of football and I would love to play a decent NFL simulation game. And I MIGHT be able to overlook many of the faults of EA when it comes to Madden if I felt they were actually TRYING, but the clear lack of effort is something I cannot continue to support. i didn’t play a ton of ps3 gen madden… i really went from ps2 era to madden 16 when i got an xbox one. even with that, i could tell the game was worse. franchise lacked depth, gameplay was weird, no create a team, etc. still bought it through madden 20, but after fix madden franchise i stopped. and man, from what ive seen, madden 16 would be an upgrade over madden 21 and 22. at least the gameplay wasn’t anywhere near as glitchy. franchise is still very shallow, though somewhat deeper.
Skipping it the first year is the hardest but it gets easier and more eye opening the longer you pass. EA is just doing roster updates and MUT sales only at this point.

I finish a game winning 38-17 but then after loading back out of the game screen to the franchise week the game is "simmed" to a loss where I scored 0 points and my team has 0 stats.. despite keeping the snapshot photos from my played game with TDs

Fact is that it has actually gotten worse over the years. I mean its Madden 22 it should be the most amazing Football game ever. 2K5 is still better. The players look and move more realistic in 2K5 than 22. Thats freakin crazy. And the tackling and presentation hands down so much better. QB's are more realistic as is the O and D lines. And remember how dope T.O. was on 2K. They actually put players in the game, like Ray Lewis all over the field making plays just like real life. God i miss 2K!!!!
@@g-roc44 i still say it was better than any madden. They actually kept track of solo and assisted tackles as well. Something madden still doesn't get. 1st person to make contact gets a full tackle and if someone makes second contact to bring down they get an assist. Sometimes two guys can get an assist. Same thing with sacks but stupid ass madden has always been broke asf. And i freakin hate it so much. Von Miller gets like 5 sacks a game and 3 should be assisted. Drives me crazy, on 2K5 Ray Ray would lead my league in solo tackles and assists just like he did in real life many times. I really miss playin 2K5 man. Not to mention the QB's RB's WR, LB's and DB's oh and D and O lines way more realistic. Madden is straight up junk compared. Even after all these years, they haven't even tried to replicate 2K5 because they don't have to. Zero competition. Make money regardless. NFL should not be allowed to give exclusive rights imo. @@gottaproxy8826 To be fair, I don't think many governments would be terribly interested in subsidizing gambling mechanics aimed at children. The video game industry spends enough on politicians to keep hardcore regulations at bay, but even that is starting to creep closer to their doorstep. The elephant in the room that most people who watch and comment on these videos don't want to talk about is that a lot of players legitimately enjoy Madden. Granted, I think most will admit that the game is stagnant... but it can still be a lot of fun. I did a casual online franchise with a handful of friends back in Madden 20 and generally had a blast despite all the warts and bugs and glitches. Don't get me wrong. the game isn't good, in fact it's outright terrible at doing "simulation" football... but a large bulk of casual gamers don't give a squirt about simulation... they just want to chuck the ball downfield and do goofy shit.

I miss playin’ football games, man. I really do. I used to dump so many hours into franchise mode and just head to head with friends and/or online. Madden 15 made me think things would get better, but they’ve gotten progressively worse.
@@Solicity850 - Madden went on a decline after 07 [06 wasn’t even that good compared to 2005 or 2004], and after that, the only decent one was the one with Peyton Hillis. I think it was 12. Even that wasn’t as good as the older ones….then when I saw and played 15, I thought the tone switch of that game would be the start of new and improved systems. Boy was I wrong.

Skipped 16 and bought 17…then after a weekend of playin’, I literally traded that game to my cousin for wings and a drink from the bar that cost around $22 before the tip. Flat out told him “Buy my wings and beer, and I’ll give you Madden.” I came out on top.
Moody just talked about how bad the draft logic is and people tried to defend EA by saying they only promised 1st round logic improvements for QB's like that was even a valid argument. Then you see this and they didn't even deliver on that lmao
At this point, the NFL needs to strip them of the exclusive license and allow others to make sim NFL games. EA is only doing this because they know that there's nothing out there that will force them to do better.

Your video was so on point, I instantly became a subscriber. We feel this way because we loved the madden franchise over years not because we love to hate. It seems they are going two steps forward six steps back.
Unless they get rid of the IAPs, EA will continue to let the base game play and franchise mode to languish because they are making all their money off of the whales that spend millions of dollars for packs, uniform upgrades, etc while on top of all that, charging $60+ for the base game, $100 for the ultimate version of the game. It's all greed. NFL is to blame as well allowing only one company to have the ability to make an NFL labeled game. Remember the year when we had Madden 2k5 and NFL 2k5 from 2k sports? NFL 2k5 was probably the best NFL game ever that I can think of. Truly had innovative controls, franchise mode, etc.

I understand that NFL owners don't really care about video games and same probably goes for the higher ups in the league. But the NFL also really dislikes negative press, and things being associated with the NFL that are negative. How long can this negativity go on without the NFL intervening? My Hope is that in the exclusivity agreement there was a clause or something, for the NFL retained the rights to pull exclusivity if the product was not generating good reviews, or if the product was not improving to NFL standards.
People never talk about MLB The Show when mentioning better sports games. IMO The Show is the best sports game out there when it comes to the big 3 sports. I can’t stand Madden or 2K.
I gave my review of this for the PS4 as LennyBlack, just off of the 10 hour trial. I buried it. I think folks are struggling to get to the place we are where we're just fed up with the nonsense. Sick of this game being subpar in a technological age where it should be so much more. The fact that we got a better game 15 years earlier on inferior consoles!!!! I'm exasperated. The NFL retweeted some BS Madden Land stupidity and I let em have it as much as I could on Twitter. Cause this makes no sense. Ryan and others shouldn't be able to consistently keep putting out videos saying how shitty their game is. 'Never stop making these videos' isn't the point. The point is we're at a place in time where these have to be made, the day should come where he no longer has to make these kind of videos cause the game is solid.

Please call out franchise mode giving you loses automatically! The people need to know. There is no way of fixing it. I play a game and win. Get back to the menu and it says I lost with zero stats. It’s like EA is spitting on our face for saying they have this new and great franchise mode. I just want to throw touchdowns and win some rings but they will not let me. It is happening to others everywhere.
Besides getting a desync on every game....the fumbles are so bad....ive lost 3 games on last second unrealistic hitstick fumbles while holding the protect ball button
I have to be honest. I have not bought a Madden game since the 25 Anniversary. The only reason I bought it back then was because of NCAA 2014. I only played 1 season of it, then stopped playing. I preferred everything in NCAA 2014 over the franchise mode. Recently, I downloaded Madden 20 for free on my Xbox and I stopped playing after the first drive. It was stupid. I had a play where the CB didn't move. I wached the replay and no he didn't move. I shut off the game and deleted it from my system.
The sad thing is ... that if you gave 2K the shot today at making a simulation football game from scratch, with only 1 year to do it in... it would be way better than EA. I mean seriously that is sad. They could fix this game in a year, they could, but people continue to buy this game and help EA break sales records ... so why would they. They break sales records, with very minimal effort. Until the community stops buying this game it won't get fixed. Want a mechanics based engine over animation based... don't buy the game.

Man, it’s all over the place. Yesterday I did a franchise with the Cowboys where (on all Pro) I went 10-7 and played the 49ers in the wildcard. Beat them outright, 35-10. But when the game ended and I had the opportunity to exit the game, upon returning to the franchise menu? It reflected that I had lost 24-0 and ended my season. Still not the most egregious glitch I’ve encountered. In my face of the franchise play through as a Wide Receiver? During the “training segments” that others have mentioned, my player takes snaps at Quarterback. Not in some weird wildcat formation or some Edelman pass situation, actually the QB under center. This game is a ridiculous joke.
Pressure alone eont do jack. As long as Madden sells a few million copies and as long as Ultimate Team remains a cash cow, EA has zero incentive to put time end money into Madden.
I think we need to flood the nfl offices with every review like game informer, every user review. let them know ea is not representing their product. let another dev team have a chance, hopefully 2K, just someone different. ea has shown time and time again they dont care. as a developer i know that old code has to be scrapped for new tech at some point. this game is way past this point.
The thin line between love & hate. A lot of young folks or ignorant people mistakenly attribute the resentment of this community as being based in hatred. A lot of us actually grew up with Madden and loved it deeply. For more than a decade it’s been like trying to salvage a relationship with a toxic friend or family member that has no interest in treating you with the same love or dignity you want to provide them. So many of us have just given up. The gross indifference on EA’s part almost makes the effort seem useless.
Keep it up EA. Keep on pooping,... eventually these people, even the most psychotic deranged and utterly insane straight-jacket wearing hardcore Madden loyalists will finally stop playing this mess. Eventually it will die.
I know that the game needs to be rebuilt from the ground up. However, if the changes they are making are improving the game, then at least it's a start in the right direction. Things just have to keep improving. I would liken it to a team that won 4 games last year. If they win 7 or 8 this year, with a tougher schedule, then we have seen some improvement in the proper direction and that team is on the come up. I don't mind seeing slow improvement, but the improvement must be there each year.

8:58 my favorite EA-desperation-promotion of Madden is when they had the Antetokounmpo brothers hold a lets-play event. They didn't even know the rules, they don't watch the NFL, they don't care about it. They are pretty good soccer players with legit dribbling skills, but I don't think they've ever held a pigskin. Which is completely fine, I know both sports because I grew up overseas and came back to the US as a teenager, but shame on EA for exploiting those guys' lack of knowledge about the sport and Madden so they can't tell if a game is bad, unrealistic, and unacceptable.
Madden 22 is a terrible chicken sandwich that was undercooked last year, so the cook added tons of salt and threw it in the microwave for 10 minutes. You cant fix a broken game with a bit of seasoning and some reheating.....and thats what they did. Its obvious they refused to admit the current foundation of Madden is unworkable....so they just keep adding more salt....maybe putting a pickle on the side. They have decided enough people are emotionally invested to choke down whatever they are served..... Thats why nothing will change. Madden 23 and Madden 24 will be the same garbage game. Its only a matter of time until they just give the fan base the finger. They will eventually just say, "weve done what we can, deal with it" -- These companies hate you. They dont care what you think. They have enough money for all eternity. It doesnt even matter if they sell millions of units....they will get bailed out by their politician friends. I mean I’m a franchise guy so I’m just glad they finally made some improvements there. Plus the graphics do look better but like we should petition for me to be the CEO of EA for these fixes 1. Cross play 2. New player models as well as customization like 2K with better face scan 3. Need to take away all the background animations between modes and shit like I know I’m playing madden it doesn’t have to say it in a stupid font everywhere. 4. Stadium customization, I should be able to add a jacuzzi or club to my stadium. 5. Why is it limited to 3 items per trades? This is madden let’s see 5 6. Better scouting (can’t stress this enough) 7. I want my game to feel like it has a history, if I win a Super Bowl with my franchise, the next year I want the commentators saying “super bowl champs” or saying last years stats or competition how it was close. We need some new plays/ make my owns plays (I think they’ve tried this or have this but it’s complete ass) 10. Want there to be a commissioner mode where you can change league rules. 11. Weight strength and speed need to be calibrated better.
It's sad, I bought every edition of Madden since the very first edition for consoles way back with John Madden football on the Sega Genesis, but I the last one I bought was Madden 25. Now when I want to play football, I turn on my ancient ps2 and load up Madden 06 or nfl2k5. It's just not worth it. I almost bought it for PC a couple years ago, when I heard they were making a PC port again but after trying the free demo on steam and seeing the game was still a mess, I didn't bother. This used to be a great franchise but it has been on the long decline ever since they signed the exclusive rights deal. I only bought one new Madden game all generation. I don't play it anymore and I grew up with Madden on the Sega Genesis. Please give the license up EA we need a brand-new NFL simulation built from the ground up!
I have bought every madden since like Madden 10. This is the first one I'm not buying and I feel free. I always got it to game with friends. And I used to do well in our leagues. But I progressively got worse and I figured out it was because I don't enjoy practicing and playing. I'm done and couldn't be happier.
Being that Madden is the only “simulation style NFL game” we can have.. it’s ridiculous how there’s not even referees in the game.. that’s like playing a game like Farmer Simulator and the game not having corn fields..

How about absolute no game audio other than commentators? I'm not sure if that was a bug or an awful design choice this year. I played about 90 minutes of the trial before I had enough, but that entire time, there was not a single sound on the field. No QB chatter, no crowd noise, no tackle sounds, no taunting, absolutely NOTHING. There was no way in hell I was going to delete the game and re-download it....so I just deleted it and have no desire to return. It's a pathetic excuse of a game and if I worked on it, I'd be so ashamed, I'd quit my job and go back to school for something else since I'm obviously a shitty game designer.
Like everything when there is no competition quality drops. EA has nothing to compete with. I haven't watched WWE in years but back when you had WCW and the Monday night wars that was some awesome television. Today there is AEW but I don't know if wrestling has improved.

While other sports titles have made many many leaps from PS3 to PS4 & now PS5, all the while Madden has been in a holding pattern since PS2 :( Also, Balllnob is just one of those who seems to be impressed with an old feature being brought back, which tells me he has not been playing Madden for long. This is Maddens target audience, not us, who have been playing Madden since PS1.

I quit with Madden 3 years ago. When I noticed the kick block glitch that didn't get fixed. Then I began to notice the other garbage. It truly is a terrible product. It's like going back to glitchy cpu games in the late 1990s that made graphics over operation.
I just don't understand how they can't just take a year off, redesign and redevelop the whole core of madden from the gameplay, game modes, and even keeping the online stuff and all the while banking off they're regular Madden online stuff for that year while they're not releasing and then the following year or sooner make and release a fantastic football game that has it all fixed and even improved and just build off that foundation going forward. Idk every 5-10 years switch it up and redevelop the core of it again to keep it somewhat fresh with new technologies. But then again I guess they are just making to much money to care about that at this point.

2K needs a generic fully customizable game to force the NFL into opening the competition pool for simulated football again.

The critics realize the madden community is fed up, and want to salvage there own credibility. It’s a little suspect we see the first negative critic review in years after the last game got a .2 user score. Ea is pathetic.
To EA's credit... and not that I agree with this... but they found the winning formula with the gambling addicted whales. They dont need to improve the game, hell they could make it free to play, they make it all back on the MUT packs. Nothing changes until MUT sales slip.
And it doesn't really matter if the Critics do, because it'll still sell amazingly. The Critics trashed it last year and it had record sales. People just buy Madden every year out of tradition due to no alternative.

I finish a game winning 38-17 but then after loading back out of the game screen to the franchise week the game is "simmed" to a loss where I scored 0 points and my team has 0 stats.. despite keeping the snapshot photos from my played game with TDs

Fact is that it has actually gotten worse over the years. I mean its Madden 22 it should be the most amazing Football game ever. 2K5 is still better. The players look and move more realistic in 2K5 than 22. Thats freakin crazy. And the tackling and presentation hands down so much better. QB's are more realistic as is the O and D lines. And remember how dope T.O. was on 2K. They actually put players in the game, like Ray Lewis all over the field making plays just like real life. God i miss 2K!!!!

Something madden still doesn't get. 1st person to make contact gets a full tackle and if someone makes second contact to bring down they get an assist. Sometimes two guys can get an assist. Same thing with sacks but stupid ass madden has always been broke asf. And i freakin hate it so much. Von Miller gets like 5 sacks a game and 3 should be assisted. Drives me crazy, on 2K5 Ray Ray would lead my league in solo tackles and assists just like he did in real life many times. I really miss playin 2K5 man. Not to mention the QB's RB's WR, LB's and DB's oh and D and O lines way more realistic. Madden is straight up junk compared. Even after all these years, they haven't even tried to replicate 2K5 because they don't have to. Zero competition. Make money regardless. NFL should not be allowed to give exclusive rights imo. Damn shame

@@gottaproxy8826 To be fair, I don't think many governments would be terribly interested in subsidizing gambling mechanics aimed at children. The video game industry spends enough on politicians to keep hardcore regulations at bay, but even that is starting to creep closer to their doorstep.
The elephant in the room that most people who watch and comment on these videos don't want to talk about is that a lot of players legitimately enjoy Madden. Granted, I think most will admit that the game is stagnant... but it can still be a lot of fun. I did a casual online franchise with a handful of friends back in Madden 20 and generally had a blast despite all the warts and bugs and glitches. Don't get me wrong. the game isn't good, in fact it's outright terrible at doing "simulation" football... but a large bulk of casual gamers don't give a squirt about simulation... they just want to chuck the ball downfield and do goofy shit.

I miss playin’ football games, man. I really do. I used to dump so many hours into franchise mode and just head to head with friends and/or online. Madden 15 made me think things would get better, but they’ve gotten progressively worse.

@@Solicity850 - Madden went on a decline after 07 [06 wasn’t even that good compared to 2005 or 2004], and after that, the only decent one was the one with Peyton Hillis. I think it was 12. Even that wasn’t as good as the older ones….then when I saw and played 15, I thought the tone switch of that game would be the start of new and improved systems.

Skipped 16 and bought 17…then after a weekend of playin’, I literally traded that game to my cousin for wings and a drink from the bar that cost around $22 before the tip. At this point, the NFL needs to strip them of the exclusive license and allow others to make sim NFL games. EA is only doing this because they know that there's nothing out there that will force them to do better.
As long as MUT generating a billion the NFL is satisfied its gonna take all of us not buying the game and the mut community being the only support group they have. Then it will catch there attention.

Unless they get rid of the IAPs, EA will continue to let the base game play and franchise mode to languish because they are making all their money off of the whales that spend millions of dollars for packs, uniform upgrades, etc while on top of all that, charging $60+ for the base game, $100 for the ultimate version of the game. NFL is to blame as well allowing only one company to have the ability to make an NFL labeled game. Remember the year when we had Madden 2k5 and NFL 2k5 from 2k sports? NFL 2k5 was probably the best NFL game ever that I can think of. Truly had innovative controls, franchise mode, etc.

It’s a damn shame how much I miss playing football video games. Been playing them since Atari days. EA has done everything for me to not waste a dime or time on a football video game. I can’t blame them for not doing NCAA football. At the same time they bought THE OFFICIAL LICENSE to make simulation video games backed by the NFL. So since you have the resources and the license they have ZERO reason for excuses or putting out a complete pile of shit game. If you can’t make it right, give up the damn license. I understand that NFL owners don't really care about video games and same probably goes for the higher ups in the league.
But the NFL also really dislikes negative press, and things being associated with the NFL that are negative.

My Hope is that in the exclusivity agreement there was a clause or something, for the NFL retained the rights to pull exclusivity if the product was not generating good reviews, or if the product was not improving to NFL standards.

Please call out franchise mode giving you loses automatically! The people need to know. There is no way of fixing it. I play a game and win. Get back to the menu and it says I lost with zero stats. It’s like EA is spitting on our face for saying they have this new and great franchise mode. I just want to throw touchdowns and win some rings but they will not let me. It is happening to others everywhere.

I have to be honest. I have not bought a Madden game since the 25 Anniversary. The only reason I bought it back then was because of NCAA 2014. I only played 1 season of it, then stopped playing. I preferred everything in NCAA 2014 over the franchise mode. Recently, I downloaded Madden 20 for free on my Xbox and I stopped playing after the first drive. It was stupid. I had a play where the CB didn't move. I wached the replay and no he didn't move. I shut off the game and deleted it from my system.
The sad thing is ... that if you gave 2K the shot today at making a simulation football game from scratch, with only 1 year to do it in... it would be way better than EA. I mean seriously that is sad. They could fix this game in a year, they could, but people continue to buy this game and help EA break sales records ... so why would they. They break sales records, with very minimal effort. Until the community stops buying this game it won't get fixed. Want a mechanics based engine over animation based... don't buy the game.

Man, it’s all over the place. Yesterday I did a franchise with the Cowboys where (on all Pro) I went 10-7 and played the 49ers in the wildcard. Beat them outright, 35-10. But when the game ended and I had the opportunity to exit the game, upon returning to the franchise menu? It reflected that I had lost 24-0 and ended my season. Still not the most egregious glitch I’ve encountered. In my face of the franchise play through as a Wide Receiver? During the “training segments” that others have mentioned, my player takes snaps at Quarterback. Not in some weird wildcat formation or some Edelman pass situation, actually the QB under center. This game is a ridiculous joke.
Pressure alone eont do jack. As long as Madden sells a few million copies and as long as Ultimate Team remains a cash cow, EA has zero incentive to put time end money into Madden.
I think we need to flood the nfl offices with every review like game informer, every user review. let them know ea is not representing their product. let another dev team have a chance, hopefully 2K, just someone different. ea has shown time and time again they dont care. as a developer i know that old code has to be scrapped for new tech at some point. this game is way past this point.

A lot of young folks or ignorant people mistakenly attribute the resentment of this community as being based in hatred. A lot of us actually grew up with Madden and loved it deeply.
For more than a decade it’s been like trying to salvage a relationship with a toxic friend or family member that has no interest in treating you with the same love or dignity you want to provide them.
So many of us have just given up. The gross indifference on EA’s part almost makes the effort seem useless.
Keep it up EA. Keep on pooping,... eventually these people, even the most psychotic deranged and utterly insane straight-jacket wearing hardcore Madden loyalists will finally stop playing this mess.

I know that the game needs to be rebuilt from the ground up. However, if the changes they are making are improving the game, then at least it's a start in the right direction. Things just have to keep improving. I would liken it to a team that won 4 games last year. If they win 7 or 8 this year, with a tougher schedule, then we have seen some improvement in the proper direction and that team is on the come up. I don't mind seeing slow improvement, but the improvement must be there each year.

8:58 my favorite EA-desperation-promotion of Madden is when they had the Antetokounmpo brothers hold a lets-play event. They didn't even know the rules, they don't watch the NFL, they don't care about it. They are pretty good soccer players with legit dribbling skills, but I don't think they've ever held a pigskin. Which is completely fine, I know both sports because I grew up overseas and came back to the US as a teenager, but shame on EA for exploiting those guys' lack of knowledge about the sport and Madden so they can't tell if a game is bad, unrealistic, and unacceptable.

Madden 22 is a terrible chicken sandwich that was undercooked last year, so the cook added tons of salt and threw it in the microwave for 10 minutes. You cant fix a broken game with a bit of seasoning and some reheating.....and thats what they did. Its obvious they refused to admit the current foundation of Madden is unworkable....so they just keep adding more salt....maybe putting a pickle on the side. They have decided enough people are emotionally invested to choke down whatever they are served.....
Thats why nothing will change. Madden 23 and Madden 24 will be the same garbage game. Its only a matter of time until they just give the fan base the finger. They will eventually just say, "weve done what we can, deal with it" --

I mean I’m a franchise guy so I’m just glad they finally made some improvements there. Plus the graphics do look better but like we should petition for me to be the CEO of EA for these fixes

2. New player models as well as customization like 2K with better face scan
3. Need to take away all the background animations between modes and shit like I know I’m playing madden it doesn’t have to say it in a stupid font everywhere.
4. Stadium customization, I should be able to add a jacuzzi or club to my stadium.
5. Why is it limited to 3 items per trades? This is madden let’s see 5
6. Better scouting (can’t stress this enough)
7. I want my game to feel like it has a history, if I win a Super Bowl with my franchise, the next year I want the commentators saying “super bowl champs” or saying last years stats or competition how it was close. Different commentators to switch it up
8. John Madden park on a cruise or something like 2K to go around the stadiums
9. We need some new plays/ make my owns plays (I think they’ve tried this or have this but it’s complete ass)
10. Want there to be a commissioner mode where you can change league rules.
11. Weight strength and speed need to be calibrated better.
It's sad, I bought every edition of Madden since the very first edition for consoles way back with John Madden football on the Sega Genesis, but I the last one I bought was Madden 25. Now when I want to play football, I turn on my ancient ps2 and load up Madden 06 or nfl2k5. It's just not worth it. I almost bought it for PC a couple years ago, when I heard they were making a PC port again but after trying the free demo on steam and seeing the game was still a mess, I didn't bother. This used to be a great franchise but it has been on the long decline ever since they signed the exclusive rights deal. I think John Madden would ashamed of the game if he had any idea what they have turned it into.

I always got it to game with friends. And I used to do well in our leagues. But I progressively got worse and I figured out it was because I don't enjoy practicing and playing.

How about absolute no game audio other than commentators? I'm not sure if that was a bug or an awful design choice this year. I played about 90 minutes of the trial before I had enough, but that entire time, there was not a single sound on the field. No QB chatter, no crowd noise, no tackle sounds, no taunting, absolutely NOTHING. There was no way in hell I was going to delete the game and re-download it....so I just deleted it and have no desire to return. It's a pathetic excuse of a game and if I worked on it, I'd be so ashamed, I'd quit my job and go back to school for something else since I'm obviously a shitty game designer.
Like everything when there is no competition quality drops. EA has nothing to compete with. I haven't watched WWE in years but back when you had WCW and the Monday night wars that was some awesome television. Today there is AEW but I don't know if wrestling has improved.

Ryan. I haven’t bought Madden in two years now. I’ve always been more of a college football guy….. I am very concerned about the upcoming game from EA. The NCAA series is something that I cherish deeply in my heart and every ounce of my being knows that EA will ruin it for me.
We all have been waiting for That Leap since PS3 ! While other sports titles have made many many leaps from PS3 to PS4 & now PS5, all the while Madden has been in a holding pattern since PS2 :( Also, Balllnob is just one of those who seems to be impressed with an old feature being brought back, which tells me he has not been playing Madden for long. This is Maddens target audience, not us, who have been playing Madden since PS1.
Im with you man... I don't hate the game. I hate what they've done to this game. If it was only $20 like it should be... I wouldn't say a damn thing... Bc you know what you're getting. But when you have to pay top dollar for the same garbage they've been trying to sell us over and over and over again.... Its sad. And it gets old. The game is broke. And they sell it like it's this huge revolution. It's not. You're getting ripped off and robbed if you spend money on this game. Stop buying it... They will change it. Keep buying it... They will never change it.

I quit with Madden 3 years ago. When I noticed the kick block glitch that didn't get fixed. Then I began to notice the other garbage. It truly is a terrible product. It's like going back to glitchy cpu games in the late 1990s that made graphics over operation.

I just don't understand how they can't just take a year off, redesign and redevelop the whole core of madden from the gameplay, game modes, and even keeping the online stuff and all the while banking off they're regular Madden online stuff for that year while they're not releasing and then the following year or sooner make and release a fantastic football game that has it all fixed and even improved and just build off that foundation going forward. Idk every 5-10 years switch it up and redevelop the core of it again to keep it somewhat fresh with new technologies. But then again I guess they are just making to much money to care about that at this point.
And also the fact of how obvious they meant to make zone coverages horrible
