This music was the stuff of nightmares. I had to mute it from the bathroom thru the end. Don’t know if there was ever dialogue & I wasn’t willing to risk hearing anymore of that soundtrack. The cabin looks cute, tho & more like what it really is which is a park model RV.

This is what happens when people accustomed to an upscale lifestyle decide that they know what's best for others and decide to upscale everything until it becomes homogenized and loses it's charm. They sure do have a love affair with "oil rubbed bronze" metal fixtures in this place. At least the walls have giant decals to remind you of how much fun you used to be able to have, but are absolutely not having now.

There's ways of modernizing rustic to keep the feel of a cabin in the woods. This isn't it. The "cabins" don't belong in Fort Wilderness. The filming was fine but I'm not a fan of the music overlay without narration. Hopefully, Tom will say here so we can get a proper room tour.

Look folks, let's call a spade a spade. Not that there is anything wrong with a trailer park, but this is a trailer park. The entry deck and ramp look like a Home Depot weekend project, while the interiors are bland. Also the first thing one sees upon entering is the side of the refrigerator? So much for Disney sightlines. Fairly notable is that even the Disney artists couldn't bring themselves to depict these trailers in the Chip and Dale poster :-/

And a cesspool of humanity in an indoor steamy “water park”. No thinks! Maybe it’s good for people who get 6-months of winter. We live near Disneyland and our kid always wanted to stay the night there, so we did for their 16th birthday last year and they brought a friend. Just doesn't feel like Fort Wilderness. I think they cleared out some trees :(. I appreciate that everything is refreshed, but they could have kept the unique flavor of the resort. And if they were going to make changes, why are the kids' beds still right next to the parents' bed? That was my biggest complaint about the old cabins, so I was hoping they would separate the sleeping areas in the new ones. The kitchen appliances are nice, I guess, but the outdoor view is terrible. You look out the window, and there's another eyesore pod. Just way too plain and unfinished looking. It's like IKEA came to Disney.

Nice, clean, update was needed, but I can see how many will be disappointed in the loss of that authentic cabin feel. The addition of greater natural light and user-friendly storage is a plus. A bad design issue from an environmental standpoint is locating your refrigerator right next to your stove. Your refrigerator will run double to triple time every single time you use that stove. And it’s the WILDERNESS, and LOGS are part of the WILDERNESS! This retheme is an insult to Fort Wilderness. The old cabins are so much better! Very ignorant!
Thanks again, Tom. Your content is truly amazing.

I find these cabins appealing & would like to stay in. The cabins always looked to me like they smelled & were full of bugs. That tv placement is questionable.

Would have better served by a washer and dryer where the sink outside the bathroom is.

There’s definitely nothing about roughing it in these new cabins if you can call them as such

Looks like they took a double-wide trailer and split into two cabins and just added new fronts to each half. Disney sure is being cheap, but I'm sure that the cost for this rental is crazy. The Disney of 30 years ago would have built real cabins to match the wilderness theme. It's pretty sad to see them go so cheap

This is honestly kind of a huge bummer, I always wanted to stay in one of these and now they’ve lost most of their woodsy rustic charm and I’m sure are more expensive to stay in to boot.

I think one thing seems to be missed here: The OG FW cabins opened literally 53 years ago! That means the cabin design was probably 55 years old. A half century folks! Times change, people change, taste change, expectations change. Those cabins are no longer $30 a night to stay in! They are now go up to $500 per night. Maybe nice if you have 5-6 people for sure, but hey have not been an affordable place in WDW to stay for a long time. A family suite at the Animation resort is even less.
A may not think the design is perfect, but it was long past due to modernize these cabins. It is what the vast majority of guests want, anywhere, now days and certainly DVC members. Maybe they will keep some of the old cabins (I think they will) around for those who want to stay in them.

Looks like a modern trailer home. Does not evoke the feeling of wilderness cabin at all. Great video, but I think the music track should have been reminiscent of a clown-car, because that would more accurately describe hotel/resort management at WDW.

Hey look, it’s the polar opposite of that sublimely perfect room at Fantasy Springs Tom showed us. Way to drop the ball, Disney😿😿😿Perfectly serviceable but a few decals and wallhangings on a tiny house do not compare to the charm and attention to detail practiced by OLC.
