some of what you say isn't realistic because if you start chatting with most business owners (and that's if you can find them in the business) they'll either walk away or say "no thank you" because they'll find you weird or sneaky and still feel you're about to sell them something
That’s where good sales skills come into play. Finding the owner is always tough but if you went with me into 10 businesses where I spoke to say 5 owners. They would all talk to me, they might not all buy, but you can get very good and engaging in conversations with prospects .
+steve stewart yes Steve, good company. I think they've had some ups and downs of the last couple years with their leadership changes and geographic relocation but it seems like they are doing better now and I do like the groove POS.
We are now impartial in terms of which processor to use. My primary company right now is Integrity Payment Systems but no matter who you use the reviews will be bad if they use independent sales reps. The issue is that they give them a lot of freedom and so it is very easy for a sales rep to screw the merchant and sell them a bad deal. What I look at is the BBB rating which shows if the processor is following up on complaints and addressing them. I will tell you that Pay Junction is a good company but I really don't think the experience will be better than North American Bancard for you or the merchant. They are very, very tiny compared to NAB (North American Bancard) and havne't been around as long so you don't see as many complaints. The truth is that your merchant services business will be whatever YOU make out of it. Most processors just back you up but the merchant experience is going to come from you. Thanks for your comment!
Great tips. By the way it's not lying it's a sales tactic to drop the guard of the merchant and build rapport. Good video!
