  • We had the pleasure of dressing one of Hollywood's most debonair leading men for over 40 years. Gregory Peck wore Huntsman tailoring both on and off the screen. His sartorial legacy and devotion to the house have inspired our signature tweed, and we continue to look after the Peck dynasty to this day. In turn, Huntsman informed much of Peck's motion picture wardrobe, perhaps most notably, The Man with the Grey Flannel Suit, 1956. Serving drama and suspense in equal measure the film and the suit are both classics.
Almost 70 years later the grey flannel cloth used to create the suit has been lovingly recreated exclusively for Huntsman by Fox Brothers. The limited edition cloth, a flannel with a slight herringbone, was crafted to replicate the original grey cloth, and is quite unlike anything else you'd find today.
Nicholas Foulkes sat down with Anthony Peck and Huntsman Head Cutter Dario Carnera to learn more about the project and the enduring legacy of Peck and Huntsman.

*I MAKE BESPOKE* historical suite 1890 to 1930 and I mostly work with vintage cloth, its compleatly different to modern cloth.
The old cast iron mechanical looms smashed the threads together so hard they formed a totally different cloth, it lays over your hand with the most wonderful drape and weight.

Fascinating. I had no idea the cloth had a herringbone pattern.
