Has the same lace problem with my boots, I took an old pair of insoles from old boots and put them in to help fill it out more and seemed to fix the problem pretty well
Hey man. Greetings from northern Canada. Love your videos, keep them coming! Diesel mechanic myself. Can watch tour videos all day! Love your passion for the trade! Keep it up!
Carolina Journeyman for Spring and Fall where I live . Wear em till you trash the nubuck leather , " took me three years" then mink oil em and they look like a new pair of boots with a mink oil finish . Carolina Elm insulated loggers for below freezing . Nothing else even comes close for the money and for me their more comfortable than my Danners and Red Wings .
One word for you bud. JK Boots. Hands down! Quality USA made, best customer service. I own Wesco, Nicks, Whites etc and these guys rock. You gotta check em out.
I like the look of logger boots more that slip ons and my work provides red wing boots yearly so I always get Red Wings because of that but I’m interested in getting the BOA lace system next...
I've been wanting a pair of logger boots for a long time, but I've always felt out of place wearing them since I'm not in the trades. but I figure I'll buy a pair of waterproof ones to try out next winter.
Chippewa makes a good logger boot. Some of their styles are USA Made. I've been wanting to order a pair of Nick's custom boots for a while now. I have skinny feet and ankles and lace up boots never fit right.
I've had both American made Carolinas (8in mock toe boot) and the Vietnam made boots(ca1904 10" lineman). They quality is pretty comparable but it USA union made logo with the flag patches on the American mades is definitely a plus. For the price in comparison to other boots Carolinas are usually a little less without having to sacrifice quality.
I just bought my first pair of loggers and im concerned maybe I got them a half size too small. They are tight on my foot which I like but the heel feels a bit snug length ways. Im not sure if they will break in and be fine or if I should have a little slip at first. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have only wore them around the house so I can exchange them if needed.
Do you think the waterproof soft toe Loggers would be good for hiking? I've been looking for a good boot for mushroom picking and hunting here in the PacNW. I have lots of hiking boots, but none do well with the very steep slippery mountain slopes. I thought I'd try some loggers, since the high heel allows for your foot to be more level when climbing, and heel brake when descending.
Looking for a good pair for pavement construction, and I think Carolina might be my best option. Disappointed that not many boots or shoes are not American made, but I guess it can't be helped. Thank you for your review!👍
what you really need to get now because you have skinny feet and a high arch is to get a pair of custom made boots. something like nicks, whites, jk or franks. boot makers like them exist because of people that have very specific needs for boots and differently shaped feet.
Dude that’s crazy you just posted this I loved mine and I just bought the new upgraded version and I do not like them as much they are pressing into my ankles so bad I think I got them broke in but damn this is my third pair I loved my old ones like you have I think mine have yellow padding in the inside of the top
Try looking into JK custom boots, they aren't cheap but they will make a boot that will fit your feet. Think of the extra money you'll be spending on the boot as an investment, you don't skimp on your tools why would you think anything less of your feet? You won't regret the purchase if you decide to go with them!!
I'm 16 from the Midwest how long do you think it will be till electrical engines are cheap enough and strong and powerful enough that we slowly convert over to electronic b.s. if it's with in the next 10 years I won't even waste my money going to collage then ?
I cant be totally sure but I think personally they are just trying to appease the socialists and wont really do much more than make electric government vehicles for decades. just saying. diesel isn't going anywhere anytime soon, I predict anyway. You will probably retire before anything major gets done.
I don’t think we’ll see them phased out for a long time. But even if they do, they’ll still need worked on. If things go electric tomorrow I’ll be first in line to work on that crap. They can pay me more too.
Yeah my back doesnt hurt when I wear good boots, I have a pair of xtratuff deck boots I wear for around the house n going to the store, those hurt my back after a little while they need some insoles.
I'm 16 from the Midwest do you think that I can become a diesel mechanic I really struggle at any school stuff but I'm pretty good at mechanic stuff and how many decades away do you think it will be till we convert into electrical vechicales bs like the Californians say will happen in few years ?
Landscaper/tree work ... mine lasted one summer before the outer rubber sole delaminated .. on the bright side the excellent upper still look brand new, sitting in my basement. 🙃👎
I've been wearing my Carolinas for 3 years. Got the flag charms too. Great boots. 🇺🇲

Using a kiltie is another option, and protects the tongue leather.
Haven’t even started the video yet and already know it’s gonna be killer. Thumb up. 💪🏽🇺🇸

Add the redwing insoles with arch support, leather laces and false tongues and will take up a lot of space.
Danners are USA made and cost about $180 for the logger style I think.
Check out Boot Barn. Super great place and that’s where I get my boots.

What fit of jeans do you wear?
i like that flannel man what is it?
It’s a Hurley flannel
Red Wings aren't USA made anymore, one of the only consumer boot brand left that still makes boots in the U.S. is Keen even they are hit and miss
I kick alot of things with the front of my boots. I wonder why they dint make these with a toe cap.
Try some kiltys under the tongue maybe they’ll help with the tightening issue a bit
There slip on loggers are awesome, lasted me 3 and a half ish years bubba
