In this performance, the Music At Green Gables Jam group consisted of Bob & Sue Cutler, Lynne Durward, Denise Gruber, Sharon Dillon-Martin, Bill Prociw & Len McCarthy on ukuleles, Jennifer Stacey on U-Bass, Peter Gruber on violin and Kate Dudek on percussion, with original arrangements by Len. This group is part of our jam session group which has been meeting regularly since 2018, initially in person, then on Zoom, and now back to in-person jams and performances.
The group usually numbers around 30 people, and consists of around 25 ukes plus flute, violin, keyboard, guitar, bass and percussion. In addition to these twice monthly jam sessions, M@GG offers workshops for adults on ukulele, guitar and keyboard and classes for children based upon principles of Orff music making. In the summer, M@GG offers Additional Qualifications courses for Primary/Junior Music (as a satellite campus for York University, Toronto).
