for those wondering, his final speed just before ejecting was 615m/s
I think it was more toward 620
It was roughly 650-680m/s or 1400-1500 mph
My PB is 663m/s
He hit 615 while he was touching the ground. BUT. his fastest one where he lived was 638
@@GhostDad420 his speed dropped to 0m/s on the exact frame of ejection (probably ksp updating the state change), and the readout was 615m/s just before the state change. I may have gone per frame to check the speed…
Watching him not figure out that you have to angle the wings if you want more downforce hurt me so deeply

Not gonna lie he’s a bit on the spectrum so it’s no surprise.

Blitz: tapes lawn chair to top
You can calculate how much fuel you used and then empty your tanks to that amount and you'll go even faster!
The wight probably kept him on the ground
Blitz strapped 20 separations onto a tank. I don’t think he’s going to do calculations about fuel

Might not be worth buying quite yet just FYI it's very buggy.
Pro tip: wings generate lift so if you use them at high speeds you'll go up unless you change something with them
Amazing also the reason the parachute didn’t want to work is the item won’t open to release the parachute in atmosphere until it’s slows to a certain speed and it won’t open to stop until a slower speed in 1 that was 150m/s
A drag chute is much higher in speed but will not stop you from moving at terminal velocity
At 19:54 I laughed so hard the soda that I was drinking came out of my nose and it hurt😅
The fact the pod racer with its rockets broken off was arguably one of the more successful designs amuses me so much. I came here to see someone set the land spoeed record properly and either the game is that janky or civil engineers just aren't good at building cars. Either way subscribed
Pro tip, if you've got excess fuel, use smaller tanks, you're essentially just adding more weight that has no use other than keeping you grounded, so theoretically, reducing your mass while keeping the same force coming out the back (ie, using the same engines), you can even further increase your speed and acceleration.
Imagine blitz and RCE had a race in this
hopefully we'll see that happen if multiplayer gets implemented

Just so yall know, it stands for Stabilisation Assistance System ( I think I've only played ksp1 )
And it controls multiple factors to stabilise:
Wings
Engine vectoring (engine nozzle movement)
Rcs engines (if activated)
Rcs control wheels
Hope this helps people who haven't played ksp1 to get better at ksp2!

On the ground or flying on Kerbin is where this early release shines right now. This was fun.

If you put wings on you should probably put them on with a negative angle of attack. That should provide some downforce to keep you on the runway.
But somehow i feel like it wasn’t the meaning that just the kerbal survives. The vehicle should come to a stop at the end of the runway.
try pointing the wings down, downforce is key so you can stay on the ground longer
This game is really fun when it works. I'm really hopping that the first patch take care of the major bugs.

just shy of 1000m/s and surviving. go to the wheels and turn off auto suspension and bump the damping all the way. I used a reaction wheel to help with stability

I have a suggestion for a plane. It can be called hyper S0N1C and add as a few long lasting medium speed boosters and back up extremely fast medium lasting boosters held by a ton of duck tap. Make it in the shape of mr beans car with wings as it would be funny. See if you can get Mach 10 with it as a challenge if you want.

Watching Blitz use multiple small drone wheels instead of actual wheels hurts me deeply.
I had the SAME problem with Decouplers NOT wanting to attach a separate unit to a command unit
If you replace the seat with a manned glider the braking would work better.
I think you can just put wings upside down to make lift downward and keep the wheels on the ground
