A powerful storm and gale force winds coincided with rising tide on Chesil Beach - said to be the strongest storm seen here since 1989. We were on the beach for hours on end to document it. I was born here, and lived most of my life here, is the weather changing with the seasons. Chesil cove in the summer is magical, and in the winter majestic. I have many friends who have moved her from inland, and have stayed because they love being on the coast. Thanks for the great piece of film 😊😊😊😊

Awesome filming, been to portland hundreds of times, never seen a storm like that though. Feel sorry for the people who have to live in the aftermath .

My mum lived at 64 , the house at end with flooded outside..... she moved 2 dAys earlier thank good, when we moved in 1997 and the fair was down, flooded then too

Just as well the beaches are so steep, otherwise there would be no causeway, buildings or road ! Today, 12 Feb, the wind is gusting to ridiculous speeds, so there will be even more 'spectacular' footage to come I think !
