IMHO No layers. It is NOT flat. It looks very neat and healthy. Please the layers are so regular. It's much more difficult to achieve one length with fullness. If anything, a little face framing, but please Lord no layers. I also loveee it dark. The darker it is, the healthier it looks. :) Less is more. MY two cents...
I agree! I had layers and it took so long to grow out and the looked like shelves with my curly hair 😂 one length gives you natural fullness, more protection for the ends, and gives you more weight (if you like a little hang time). I will never get layers again
I got my hair blown out for the first time in 5 years after getting curly cuts for 4.5 years. My hair is similar to type and length as yours. My ends are so much better and I’m retaining even more length-it’s now almost waist length. I think your hair is great. Don’t change it. I would keep the blown out trims and when you get tired of it do one curly cut in between for the layers you may want.
Layering helps add volume for finer and more limp strands. From a fine haired type 4's perspective, the uniformity plus the density of your hair is a major Felx! A few face framing layers could definitely elevate the beautiful shape you already have, but its ultimately up to you. Dark curls always do it for me, but you have a face that can pull off whatever curly cut/color you choose!😊🫶🏾
My hair goals consist of taking it back to the basics for growth. For me that means going back to pre-poos, regular low maintence styling, learning to properly defuse my hair. Sidenote- I love your shape face framing would be extra cute!
I'm so happy you're back. Ohhhh please, share what you think caused so much of your hair growth. Anything in particular such as hair vitamins, rosemary oil or anything like that..I badly want more thickness, length, etc. Thank you bunches.
Maybe try a wash n go that focuses more on volume than definition for a bit before going to a layer cut. I personally think long layers would work well for you because of your facial structure. I'm currently not happy with my hair realizing that a certain "no oils" regime ruined my hair (breakage galore) that left me at the same length for over 2 years. So I'm in a TLC phase.
Wow. I can't believe so many people are experiencing breakage because of that. For me personally it is the best thing I've done for my hair and it's been 5 years since I've left the oils and butters alone. I wear gel only wash and go's exclusively too. I hope you'll achieve your goals soon! Don't forget to trim your hair regularly 🙏🏽
@@memorizedvisions yesss I think i’ll experiment with that for now! I just need to find a wash for more volume but that doesn’t make my wash & go last any less 🤔
@@triscachappell7325 I like bonding products! I don’t use them often but every once in a while I do and my hair seems to enjoy it. I def think it’s important not to over do it with them though

growing my hair this year, being more consistent with low manipulative styles. I need to embrace my curls past day 2 hair instead of throwing it into a bun lol
Hi Alyssa, I have been natural for 5 years April 1 and my hair is the same length. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Well I do need a trim bad. I wish we had a natural hair stylist here where I live.
Trim the ends. use the search and destroy method for 2 weeks to make sure you get the splits ends throughout the hair then use the banding method to stretch out the hair. Cute the ends in the bands to get the perfect ends and to see the thinning

I'm growing it out and wanting to grow out the layers since it's choppy.

keep long layers, add face framing layers
Since I have gone curly in 2019 my hair has not grown. I am concerned that I am missing a step. This year is all about growth
I Love your hair. No layers

No layers your hair looks amazing. Maybe face framing. Pick for volume. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

2025 is breakage control and growth and thickness.

I have been wondering that even since I watched a video from Kimberly Cherrell, where she called George her husband.
Please don’t cut it it’s very pretty
Keep your hair but maybe cut some bangs cause your hair looks great
